I really wish Guillermo had his own podcast. I could seriously listen to him all day and i know that I'm not the only one that feels that way. That podcast would be wildly popular.

It's a good thing he doesn't have one. He's far too talented and creative to waste his life on a podcast. He needs to create films.

That's what I love about Del Toro. He's a genius who can express himself in a way that gets his point across in the most approachable way.

While searching for interviews with him I hadn’t seen yet, I was thinking exactly about what you just said. I know people who, while undeniably knowledgeable, cannot say a word without it feeling like they are showing off or making fun of you for not knowing what they know. Guillermo on the other hand, no - he is sharing information without any judgement or emotional validation attached to it.

Guillermo del Toro is the only worldwide celebrity to whom I feel most related.
I'm an artist and basically for all my life I've been gathering visual and spiritual references similar to things I fell in love with, when I was younger. Guess it's the point where your soul gets it's shape when you are a kid.

I love that we share the experience of “compromising with monsters” when we were younger. I thought there were monsters in my basement when I was a kid, but I made “friendships” with them to escape my brothers and their friends. I honestly thought I was crazy for doing that, but I love hearing that one of my favorite directors did the same

Interesting. But I think such worship and affinity with monsters is a slippery slope. Djinn (demons) are real - and are always looking low-hanging fruit. Guillermo is a 'soft touch'. He's got sympathy for the depraved and evil. I hope he says prayers of protection before he focuses his talents on the Dark Side. 🌚
