- In the first couple of minutes of Ricky Gervais's new comedy special, he absolutely roasts the transgender movement. Not surprisingly, he absolutely triggered the libs.

I gotta say it's distirbing to find Ben Shapiro hot... I always thought I was straight 🤔
LGBTQIA+ group can't be called strong people if they get offended to everything even at comedy.
@@sholmesbrown Feel the same man. 🤣
But at least he went full way. 😆
6:20 dear god, Brett. That guy is insufferable!!! smh
Americans are completely doomed. I'm from the UK, I am very left wing and love Ricky Gervais. I agree with him and found it hilarious. James Acaster is hilarious too, you don't have to hate.
Not everything is left or right, you turn all things into politics and it tears your country apart. Masks, medicine, guns, anything and everything tears you apart as a country.
If you were ever invaded, you can't pull together and would self destruct.
The "Divided State of America", you have to learn to be less hostile to others.
If you look at it from the point of a visitor to Earth, Religion is the most insane thing ever conceived. Anything after that is mild and tame in comparison.
BTW are you a girl with parents that hate you enough to give you a boy's name or a transexual?
A girl named Brett and a boy named Sue.
Just kidding.
"just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right." - Ricky Gervais
If they make what should be their private life deliberately public, then they invited criticism in all its forms.
True, it means they're stupid.
when i first heard this line, it was a literal mind blown... always believed things should be as such, but never knew exactly how to put it into word, and yet it was so simple.
He is so great. I also love his, "atheist in an hour" bit. Lol
...facts don't care about your feelings.
Let's be clear here: Ricky isn't trolling these people who seem to think they're "trans." He's trolling activists ... and it's working.
but who will troll the fool that hired a bunch of clowns to kill a murderous rodent?
love the reference. good culture sir.
What do you mean by "people who seem to think they're 'trans'?" They are trans 😂
Try doing some research mate, transgender people do in fact exist, it’s scientifically proven that trans women/men think like their cis counterparts
@@Sunnydale1909 If I think I'm a tree it doesn't magically make me a tree. If a woman thinks she is a man it doesn't make her a man and vice versa. We call it mental confusion. Mutilating yourself by cutting off your body parts doesn't change anything about it, it only turns you into a cripple.
This is a good point. I have no problem with trans persons in general, but the activism is over the top and often offensive to me. They have gone beyond helping trans persons to creating barriers to understanding and acceptance.
0:52 "The old-fashioned women...the ones with wombs..." Love that line!

Truth! ☮️🇬🇧
3:44 that was positively brilliant "you want me to be inclusive? I am, I'm including you in my jokes"
Yeah, my 14 year old cousin got in with a group of girls who all decided that they were suddenly “Trans”. We know that they all did it to be cool, she thought it would drive her mom crazy in my view… she thought wrong. When she told her mother that she was Trans, my aunt responded with, “Really? So am I. We can do it together.”
My cousin thought that she was kidding and that she was just mocking her….and then, the next morning came. When she came downstairs, her mom was dressed in her father’s clothes and had dyed her hair with the same pink and blue stripes in her hair as her daughters. And guess who drove her to school? Mom.
My cousin was horrified. She kept giving her mom all the reasons as to why she was NOT Trans!!! My aunt said if my cousin was Trans, she must be too. She was a tomboy as a teen, so, yup, she must be Trans. My cousin was the one who went crazy. Poor muffin.
My cousin forgot her lunch, so… my aunt had to take it to the school for her, she made sure to call my cousin to the office to get it, and there she was, sporting a moustache and a fancy new man’s hair cut…. My cousin was mortified.
There were 7 girls all together, all friends that claimed to be Trans, so…my aunt called all of their moms, and one Dad, and they all did the exact same things…they all dressed as the opposite sex and claimed to be Trans just like their daughters which flabbergasted the girls. For weeks the girls gave the parents all the reasons that they could muster for WHY they were NOT Trans.
The school even called my aunt calling her Transphobic, and told her that they would take action against her and the other parents for mocking their girls if they didn’t stop. Well…. my aunt’s response was, “HOW DARE YOU MIS-GENDER ME?!!!? IT’S SIR!!! I’ll bet the media would love to hear how the school’s administrators were being so Transphobic,!!” Not another word was said to her, and…she made them apologize to her in writing.
By the end of it, the girls convinced themselves that NOBODY was Trans and they were quite proud of themselves for convincing their parents that they weren’t Trans either.
All the girls saw the foolishness of the Trans Bully Cult….and ALL of them are now dead against the Trans ideology. As it should be.
The school still tried to convince the girls that they were Trans, after they went back to normal, how irresponsible is that?
This story is pretty funny….what a great idea to make these girls see the nonsense of this T-Bully Cult ideology.
Priceless!!!!
Amazing!! 👏
@@LannonHarmsEpicDev I thought it took some pretty big balls for my aunt to do this. She went to work and everywhere in public that way, and so did the other parents… including the Dad. ALL of their employers let them do it, they knew they weren’t really Trans, and supported them 100% if they thought it would save their daughters from this T-Bully Cult.
Update: Since my original post. The councillor got fired along with 2 Trans promoting teachers… I “think” that the principal is next and some of the administrators. Small town, some church group got involved and they are really going after them. Be well.
@@vampu80 Sure was. See the update below that I posted to Landon Harms. The girls filed a complaint because it was the school that convinced them that they were Trans. He’s one of the rare ones who will joke about issues everyone gets all offensive about. I love him
“Just because you’re offended, doesn’t mean you’re right.” - Ricky Gervais :)
I do think the media vastly exaggerates the amount of people who are offended by this sort of thing. They make a mountain out of five or six whiners on Twitter, and really it tends to be confused teenagers, most of whom will grow out of it and realise it was their hormones making them want to scream about something, or ugly overweight people who dislike themselves and so bitterly and resentfully project those feelings of inner inadequacy onto others.
Ricky has a degree in philosophy from Oxford University. There is a very careful and astute thinker behind his material and his delivery of it. He can not only recognise the bs the trans activists go on with but pick it apart with surgical precision. That’s why we love him.
No he doesn't. He has a degree in philosophy from a much better university: University College London. UCL - look it up. The first university to admit women, Jews, non-conformists, the working class, the first English university to even have a philosophy department - and it has a stellar philosophy faculty still. (And it's my Alma Mater, but I'm not biased.)
@@Featherstone169 My bad. I heard it was from Oxford. UCL is certainly a great university too.

As long as a comedian is offending most of twitter, they are doing something right.
Twitter Bots don’t count.
Most of twitter gets offended over a slight breeze these days...
(of center)
And here is one of the big problems. It ISN'T most of twitter is it though, for the most part? It's actually usually a relatively small proportion of it (which doesn't stop them being influential, sometimes). But that's not what gets reported is it? People just act as though everyone online is going ape over something, when often it really isn't the case at all. You get the 'backlash against the backlash'. Often, the first time I hear that Bill Burr has offended someone is because someone has done a video taking down all the people who were apparently going wild at him. Funny isn't it, that I hardly ever hear the outrage , but I always hear the outrage about the outrage. The non woke do outrage incredibly well.
@@AnoNymous-gn6tl agreed
Ricky has FU money, which makes him bulletproof. He is one of the few comedians that can say whatever he wants without fear of repercussion. The fact that he is intelligent, thoughtful, and self aware is why he gets it so right and what makes his comedy so on point.
Has nothing to do with the money. Plenty of rich celebs have been victim to cancel culture. He’s not bulletproof by any means - he just doesn’t care. Same with Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle.
He's also made a rapport of it being his entire style. Even before he was really big he was trying to push the envelope a little bit more and more and every time.
He also points out that these are jokes, not his opinion. Ricky is a legend.
You have to be smart and brave to navigate the window of what you can say to amuse most, offend some, and not get fired/ pulled off the air for the content. Well done Ricky.

Almost passed out laughing at that one. This is one of the only brave comedians. Even some comedians like Chappell seem only to have gotten brave after Gervais began offending people without mercy.
I am a Brit. People need to understand that the British have a self deprecating sense of humour. That is, if you can't laugh about yourself, you can't laugh about anyone else. Just listen to Gervais telling his "take the micky out of" or, "take the piss out off" jokes. That makes him free to take the micky out of anyone, especially those who see themselves as above others.

Completely supporting Ricky here. Just as an aside, I just want to say that "making you feel uncomfortable" is not a "necessary component" of comedy. I think Jerry Seinfeld is clear proof of that fact.
I'm not saying he never says anything to make people uncomfortable, (nor should he be limited from, or reprimanded for, doing so) but he clearly demonstrates that it isn't required.
Listen to him talk about the postal service, or buying things and putting them in storage units.
Should comedians be restricted from comedy that makes someone uncomfortable? No.

Whenever someone tells you that "they watched something so you don't have to"...you need to watch it. Adults shouldn't let any group decide what's best for them. They're not your parents.
The human centipede, I watched it so you don’t have to!
@@onriica how about the human cent-i-pad?
@@onriica WHY MUST PEOPLE KEEP BRINGING IT UP!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
I hadn't thought of that but yeah that makes sense.
The classic prelude to gas lighting.
One of my favorite things about Ricky Gervais is his reaction to his own material. Anyone truly offended by his humor either isn't very intelligent or takes themselves way too seriously. If you pay close attention , he stands up for the undefended. His show After Life is one of the best and deals bravely with some fairly dark but real material.
Its not annoying that Ricky ended his special that way, he wasnt protecting himself, he was EDUCATING people. If Netfix cancels people, people cancel Netflix.
It's so great not being left or right and getting all this great content lately. I really don't know which side to laugh at more
Ricky Gervais sounds like he's Irish, because his humor is a pot of gold

😂
Why did I read this with an Irish accent 😂😂
As someone who is only 3/8ths Irish, but born on Saint Patrick's Day☘☘🍀🍀☘☘ my Shamrock Senses tell me that he is for sure a wee bit....
I love the fact that the end of the GLAAD tweet basically said that being LGBTQ is the only thing which makes LGBTQ comedians worth while, completely violating their own idea of treating everyone equally.
He’s 100% on the money. Love that he’s telling it like the majority sees it.
He is the George Carlin for this generation. Oh how I miss him and his incredible sarcasm.
The epitome of free speech and and integrity. And a true comic genius too boot.
He is so hilarious! Love how unapologetic he is. This is what comedy is about!
Why should he apologise, he's a Comedian, British intelectual with a great sense of humour, all Brits. Grew up being slandered, mocked that was the way, the school of life, survival of the fittest, sarcastic, piss-taking, Turn The Other Cheek respond with a put you down answer and fight or flight.
Unapologetic? He literally apologized at the end.
Im so here for Ricky taking down "pedestal politics"
Like Ricky says "you can joke about anything, if people are offended you don't have to care" 😂
A German comedian recently did something similar. Her started with a classic joke (A man goes to the bakery...) and then pointed out, one by one, what might be considered "offensive". He ended with: "Ok, let me give you the joke in the proper form, so it will not offend anyone.
Someone moves somewhere and says something to someone else. That someone else responds with something else.
What a great joke, hahaha! \s"
What do you mean by some-one? "They" identify as two!!!
Who was that?
He nailed it 💯👏 👏👏
Ricky's one of the best philosophers of our time. I just can't believe how much mileage trans issues are getting. The amount of important issues in the world that don't get this much air time means that we are being played to look the other way.
I've thought that myself. If they put this much effort into issues like say human trafficking, poverty, environment etc the world would be a better place. I always thought we were put here to serve human kind but these people are only self serving.
Got to love ricky & hes bang on top lad👍👍
Ricky Gervais is a comedy Gold
You’re a gem, glad I see you all over my feed now. This is getting totally out of control and I’m glad there are brave comedians willing to continue pointing it out for a laugh
I love his opinions on god. You must watch that
@@gaswhole Oh I’ve watched Everything Ricky G has ever done. I rewatch his material about god on repeat.
@@michaelfabish-wood4444 the one joke he says about god giving aids to babies is actually misplaced a bit, because god gave humans the smarts to fix that we just dont do it, we rather develop addictive flavors of potato chips and spend on wars and fossil fuels
As a 16 year old, left leaning person, I find this hilarious! Literally the younger generation and twitter take simple jokes way too far and act all triggered like tf?! A joke is a joke and It’s FUNNY.
It’s some/most of the Older GenZ’ers too.
The fact that you think those were only jokes, and not Ricky's way of trying to tell the truth without upsetting the elite, means you're still sleeping. Goodnight little sheep.
Just remember: whichever side you're on, it's always "the other side" that doesn't have a sense of humor.
@@m.j2124 Jeez, do you have to nitpick?

I'm so triggered by your honesty Brett.. 😂
He covers his arse in a way that Christopher Hitchens never would.
30 seconds into the video I figured out Ricky Gervais had a new special. Paused, went to Netflix, watched it, now I'm back to finish this video. I love Vicky Gervais.
Vicky Gervais, sounds like a transsexual 🤣
I'd correct the name but it seems rather fitting for this subject
Is that his transjenner name? Vicky
Ricky Gervais represents our British humour to a T!! He’s one of the funniest, brutally honest comedians imo - proper national treasure ;)
❤
All humour
What on Earth is a “national treasure “?
@@drwoo6090 lmao it’s a person who’s deemed iconic enough in your home country to be a NT. put the two words together and it’s pretty simple to understand

I remember what I read a few years ago from someone: "No one can offend you without your permission"
Good old Ricky, will not give two shits about anyone if they piss him off, he tells it straight and to the point, class act.
I freaking love Ricky Gervais. What an absolute legend.
It's not that comedy should make you uncomfortable (although it can). It's that it should catch you off-guard, causing you to laugh involuntarily. The punchline surprises you: sometimes with shock, sometimes with cringe, sometimes with wit, but always unexpectedly. You don't laugh because you heard something you agreed with, but in spite of yourself entirely.
If you can't laugh at yourself, you have no business laughing about others. Stereotype comedy, has always been based on true points being exaggerated. Which can still be a bit uncomfortable, but can't deny the underlying truth to the joke. Which is what I think Brett was trying to convey.
But overall, I completely agree with your comment.
@@lennychorn147 Yes, both John's comment and your reply are spot on. You both "get" the joke unlike the faux outrage mob who will forever be nothing more than a punchline to a bad joke.
Not true. Some of the best jokes have people laughing before the punchline because not only do we know what's coming but the truth of the matter of the joke. There's no one way jokes work.
I think why most people fail to get the joke is because you typically need to have a sharp mind (uncommon), you need to not be self-centered therefore looking beyond your narrow views (uncommon), and be ok with not living in a perfect world. If humor wasn't a thing we'd all be miserable cunts 24/7
Like Chris rock’s? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
but there was nothing fresh about his comedy. he just perpetuated the same transphobia weve seen and its just tiring. doesnt help how genuinely harmful it is to an already vulnerable community. its simply unfunny so its bigotry has no excuse
Ricky Gervais is awesome!!!
"you go woke you go broke" - common sense
I saw this live and the biggest laughs were the trans jokes. The whole arena was in hysterics!
imagine being offended by someone repeating your own argument then sticking to that same argument!
Libs of Tiktok is growing by leaps and bounds doing that very thing!
Sounds like the whole Tim Anderson ordeal with him calling Josh Donaldson racist for calling him “Jackie” (as in Jackie Robinson). Which Anderson called himself. Which Anderson and Donaldson joked about FOR YEARS. But for some reason NOW it’s offensive and racist 🤦🏼♀️ The only people who see race are the racists. And even if it were cuz Anderson is black and Jackie was (which it wasn’t)…where’s the offensive part? It doesn’t even make any sense. Not that it ever did, but now it really doesn’t.
