Maxine Clark I’m pretty sure they’re not letting their hair get dry for real, and definitely not for weeks or months because they have to make videos. That’s probably an old wash and go. And you also have to take texture and porosity into consideration. Type 4 is the driest texture, and hers is definitely not 4...that’s only one reason why we should stop watching textures that’s not like ours.
This black girl Over here amen 🙏🏽 although, this routine will and can work on 4C hair because that’s all we need is oil and something that won’t dry our hair out. Aloe vera gel and avocado will perfectly work for for 4C hair as well.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who goes without deep conditioning for weeks/months at a time. By the end of those months I'm so lost trying to repair my hair. Great video!
I add honey to my dc's also but I recently started adding aloe vera powder also and OMG its a huge game changer for me, feels like my hair is moisturized from the inside out, I got it from Amazon
NaturalNeiicey your welcome, yess its amazing I put the aloe powder in a bowl and mix it with water or aloe juice then add my deep conditioner and honey then put an oil on top of the DC. U and your hair are beautiful btw
you know what, i’ve been seeing a lot about “scalp massages” & how people claim it really helps them. so i’m gonna actually give that a try. but great video girl! i’m obsessed with your hair 😍😍😍
Oh my gosh! So educational! Your hair is stunning afterwards... Bursting with life, health and sparkle. I watched this to really understand how to deep condition. Big thumbs up for all black women who stick with their own natural hair. It's crazy that so many buy the hair off Indian women and walk around with that - when God actually gave them their own natural hair. . I genuinely have no hair at all, due to alopecia. I'll be applying this method to treat my wigs with a deep condition. Seriously, I would do anything to have even the most unmanageable afro, I swear! Your hair in particular is so cute, stylish and amazing. Natural beauty! This was so helpful. Big thanks!
LOL girl my hair looked exactly like your before when I clicked on the vid. I used this routine and yep that's exactly what my hair needed. I'll be using this for now on. Thanks for this vid!
I love that dc on its own. Ima have to try it with some oils. Girl go to Sally’s and get you a bonnet attachment. I bought one for about $10 and I love it. It attaches to a blow dryer
OMG thank you so, so much! I honestly had no clue how to deep condition my hair or even know what it was until I watched this! I have short curly hair and I always have and I'm starting to grow my hair out because I think I could use a new look.. But I've been trying to grow my hair out for TWO YEARS and nothing has happened so I just gave up. But now I feel like I can actually make my hair goals come to life. Thank you !!!
Girl add an overripe avocado, overripe banana, a little honey, coconut oil, olive oil and shea butter 😩😩😩 that's my secret weapon! People run me down trying to ask what I put in my hair! Soft, shine, defined curls FOR DAYS!!!
@@Mayboy004 oh man I remember this comment now! This was 2 big chops ago though! It depends on how long your hair is. If it's over medium/shoulder length, then yes, use whole. If not, then you don't have to. Sit for at least 10, up to 30 minutes. Yes wash it out completely and DO NOT use heat or you may cook the food into your hair. If your hair is really dry all of the time, the best thing I can tell you is to figure out how to properly seal your hair. Now, I use a spray bottle with water, mega protectiv leave in (mostly find at Walmart in ethnic hair section for $6), castor oil (for long term sealing) or coconut oil (for health treatment), and then a butter (raw shea butter, as I am double butter, the doux afro bonita balm). Make sure you are drinking at least a half gallon (but more so closer to a gallon) of water a day. Make sure you don't have any underlying health issues (I know for a fact iron deficiency and vitamin d deficiency can wreck havoc on hair). Try upping your wet conditioning to once or even twice a week in extreme cases. I've actually started adding an oil (olive or coconut) to my wet, shampooed hair before I condition with heat (put a grocery bag on head and use a handheld blow dryer for about 10 mins). Keep a silk/satin bonnet on if your hair will ever touch cotton or any moisture wicking materials (hats, headwraps, pillow cases, even hoodies). Remember that hair will not keep moisture forever so you have to rehydrate (do the l.c.o.b (read the water, leave in thingy above)) at least every week though I try to do it every 3 to 4 days as needed. I have low to medium porosity, medium density 4a/b hair. Please adjust for your own hair needs (i.e. finer hair will not tolerate the heavy oils and butters as often / higher porosity may need more water and less cream based products) Sorry for the thesis but I hope this helps. Edit: also please make sure you are getting adequate trims! Some people are able to do it on their own but some cannot and will require a professional! Trim the ends and make sure to go throughout the whole head to get rid of split ends!!! This can most definitely make your hair lose moisture quickly! LOL I think I got it all and am done editing 😂😂😂
You should shampoo then deep condition because if you use conditioner before you deep condition, it’s going to start sealing moisture before you put in the deep conditioner. And after using a protein masque, you should condition afterwards with regular conditioner to further seal in moisture and get rid of excess protein. If you do this, you’re getting the maximum benefits
Oil Scalp massage Use the deep conditioner and add oil Start with ends and go up, u can give little massage and then twist it (Work by sections) Finished with all- spread oil through whole head Put cap on and use blow dryer to heat it up for 15 mins Leave it on for an hour Wash hair
I really wish I could wear my pineapple as a style. My pineapple never looks even or that good when I put it up. It always hella lopsided and crazy looking lol. Your hair is so pretty.

I’m definitely doing this haven’t washed my hair in a month or deep conditioned long then that and gonna have to put it off some more because I’m sick 😷
OH MY HECKING LORD! I found your video in need of fixing my hair because it was so dry. I tried everything you did in this video and while I was putting everything in my hair I had a feeling it wouldn’t work... but it did! Thank you so so much girl! You saved my hair!
I started back doing hot oil treatments last month but on freshly washed hair, after not having done them since earlier this year on dirty hair, and it helps amazingly for me, especially when it comes to the excessive shedding that I experience sometimes. I have Jamaican Black castor oil as well as peppermint oil, but not those other amazing oils, clear castor oil was the first one that I used to take down my flat twists after doing my big chop in May 2013 (haven't used clear castor oil since and discovered coconut oil shortly after). I deep condition my normal to low porosity hair under the Dryer once a week, and I have less frizz as well as manageable hair. How do you avoid dealing with excessive shedding, Shaneice? I need help there, because I believe I'm being gentle, but probably not as gentle as I should be. I finger detangle on damp hair as well as twist up my hair before deep conditioning, but end up with excessive shedding which I trim off before going under the Dryer. Your hair looks amazingly moisturized!
I loved this! My hair is pretty dry so I will definitely be trying this method out! Thanks for the videos, hoping to see some more natural hair videos in the future!♥️
love your hair gorgeous and that yellow color on you!! Can't wait to meet you! can't wait for my hair to be that long! I've been showing it tlc for about 1 year now and i've seen major improvements. however, due to me having damaged, i've cut over 6 inches off this year alone! so length wise i'm where i started but health wise I've seen a 180.
For the hot oil, do you leave on for a certain amount of time before applying the deep conditioner or do you put on immediately after? Thank you so much ♥️
YOU ARE AWESOME! YOU JUST HELPED ME WITH DEEP CONDITIONING!!! lol sorry for shouting but i didnt know that the conditioner was supposed to show on my hair.. All this time i havent been putting enough conditioner

I feel so good to know that you don't wash your hair often cause that's the same with me too lol. Plus these hair products ain't cheap. I'm long overdue for a hair wash as well but Saturday I'm gonna get the job done lol
Beautiful curls! Thanks for this video! I truly need to get on a routine with my hair. Do you feel a routine will help with hair growth? My hair seems to stay the same length and I really want to get some growth happening this winter. Advice appreciated! ❤
Every beauty guru that shows their "dry" hair, is my dream hair! my dry hair looks a damn mess lol
Maxine Clark girl same lol.
Because there hair still looks decent (presentable). There hair is just less curly and shiny. My hair would just be knotted and more visibly dirty.
