Both candidates are disappointing. They promise many things but they don't explain how exactly they will achieve it. If you propose rent control you gotta give specific examples of successful rent control policies in the past.
That's the art of politics. Rent control sounds good, but really can kill a city. Both economic theory, supply and demand, and all implementations from all over the world, prove that rent control causes housing shortages that reduce the number of low income people who can live in a city. Even worse, rent control will raise demand for housing and therefore increase the rent too because high demand and short supply. Free market is the only way to get the more housing to the market and also the cheapest rent

The dept must be overhauled. We cannot allow another domestic violence predator to rise through the ranks, be installed by white male Mayor Walsh 5 minutes before Walsh heads to Washington, leaving Janey to deal with the mess. All cops involved in that coverup need to be fired. Fired, not retired with pension.

Ahh politics. How welcoming is Boston when every main road has been minimized to one lane and parking is diminished to just handful of parking spaces? The politicians are just as guilty of driving away visitors / business as Covid. But of course, you have the solution. More / higher parking fees or maybe taxing the businesses a little more? (smh) Politics...
It's heading the right way then. Traffic isn't solved by adding more lanes and parking. That just makes it worse. It is only solved by improving Transit infrastructure and making cities and their streets safe for pedestrians.

A good public transportation system is needed in a city with narrow, cow path lanes, often miserable weather, & a large amount of the population below driving age.

Excuse me! China invested more in renewable & green energy than the US. China has more EV on the road than the US. Do you know much much carbon the US military industrial complex has emitted? I don’t think you have any idea!

Also, China has a larger navy than the US now. They produce about 30% of the worlds CO2 emissions. All their factories that produce so many goods that come to US don't even have any kind of environmental controls, I mean air, water, etc. This is how they can produce so cheaply. Their coal fired generation plants don't even have scrubbers in the chimneys. I've lived and worked their and this is how I know China produces so much pollution. When I lived there I had bronchitis every six months as the air quality is so bad.
