Dual SIM Cards mean works together as bonding/aggregate 4G signals?
The alternative SIM card slot is for a backup connection when the primary SIM card is offline.
@@OutdoorRouter what if you are using a plan that runs out of bandwidth, will it roll over automatically? Im looking at this with the new 100GB AT&T plans and having two plans run off the same tower
If you’re aggregating them together, you’re going to need a very specialist phone plan which support irrigation at the other end
@@Robscartoons it’s always best to phone the company providing the plan and talk to her representative because they can often find you a good plan for your usage
Your product looks really interesting. It is a shame nobody has reviewed it or made a video in the UK. I feel this product maybe useful to help solve my problems with slow rural internet in Scotland. I could review the product for you if you wish? Simon
Hi Simon. Thanks. Please send email to sales@outdoorrouter.com to talk about the details.
Simon, I'm a user in the US and I can vouch for the EZR30 at least. We used it to bring Internet to my mom's house who lives "in the middle of nowhere". Signal in and near her house was terrible. We mounted an EZR30 on a 30' pole strapped to a tree on a hill near her house and now she pulls 30-40Mbps. We're using an MC7455. I had a few issues at first but tech support (Astor at the time) was eager and excellent, no complaints. The products are OpenWrt based, you can even compile it yourself if you want to and know how. I'm currently running on a self-build of OpenWrt 18.06.2 as it was more flexible than the official firmware at the time, but I've yet to try their latest official version. Runs rock solid for months at a time since June 2019, no complaints.
Simon, I too live in rural Scotland and for the past couple of years used an indoor 4G router system supplied by EE. I fitted an external antenna and regularly got speeds in excess of 80Gbps - a vast improvement on the O.6Mbps via ADSL.
@@PeterBestel could you please tell me what kind of antenna you use i live in italy and i got scammed many times buying wrong antenna so please tell me about your antenna what kind and what type thank you
Hi, good tutorial, thanks. I live in a rural area where I use a portable wifi as my provider, the signal is weak during the rush hour and gets better when everybody is sleeping, my question is does this outdoor router will increase the possibilities to coneect the with the tower cell as if I where closer of it? Thanks
You can install a directional high-gain antenna, such as a 9.5dBi LPDA 4G antenna, then point towards the cell tower. It's the most stable and cost-effective solution for the weak signal area.
Where to buy this
Dual SIM Cards mean works together as bonding/aggregate 4G signals? Thanks
One one of the SIM cards connects to the mobile network at the same time, and another SIM card is for backup.

If you’re aggregating them to get that you need a specialist phone plan which allows the phone company to aggregate the two connections at their end otherwise you will be limited to load balancing
What category is the LTE modem? What are the maximum uplink/downlink speed?
It can work with Cat.4 or Cat6 LTE modules. Cat.4 module has a rated max 150Mbps download speed, and 50Mbps upload speed. Cat.6 module has two times carrier aggregation, providing a rated max 300Mbps download speed with 50Mbps upload speed. You can check more details and specifications on our web store www.OutdoorRouter.com.
The manual says to use an "Activated SIM" which I take to mean that the SIM should be activated before inserting in the router (perhaps in a phone). The video however shows the SIM being inserted direct in the router seemingly from new - which is the correct process?
? It depends what you have. If you have service through an MVNO they will activate and mail you a sim.
You can be sent an activated Sim usually if it’s a specialist data only plan but they are usually not activated for security purposes
If the 2 simcards are from different providers will the internet switch automatically from one to another? For example if Vodafone has no signal will switch to Telekom? (Like for a youtube live stream from a osmo pocket 2 that has only wifi)
There are no limitations on inserting SIM cards. You can use any workable SIM card on either SIM slot. Make sure to turn on the auto-switch function on the mobile interface. So it can switch to another one when the primary SIM card is offline.
Most of the time the phone companies share the network so they can use each other’s masks so they all minimise cost. The likelihood is both Sim cards would end up connecting to the same mast
I'm looking at buying one at the end of this month to be used in rural Texas, on the edge of ATT internet. I have to go outside to make phone calls, etc as my house is a metal mobile home.
did it work out for you? I want to try this in Nc
Please let us know bro I do too have a metal home
Are there any options to turn off routing so it just acts as a modem so it can be plugged into a moral advance network set up?
Unlike landline modems, the dialing process must be done on the SIM card router itself. It supports mobile IP passthrough (IP-Bridge) to let a specific Mac address inherit the mobile internet IP directly.
Does this support band 17(700mhz) over 4g lte connection? If yes please direct me where to buy
Do these products work in india?
Is it water proof & sunlight hot prevent device? Plz reply me
how does the dial sim works? do you have to switch them as it can only be use one at a time? it does it work like load balancing or MLPPP?
The mobile modem picks up mobile signals on its antennas and dials into the mobile network using the Mobile-Data protocol based on QMI. It has also integrated an alternative PPP protocol. Only one SIM card can currently obtain internet traffic, and another SIM card can act as the backup link. It supports multiple WANs, including WAN, WiFi Relay, and Mobile, and you can control their connection priority using the included load balancing function.
if the 4g falls out, can it be used as a wifi repeater?
Does this device speed up the internet with two SIM cards? Or is the second wire for support?
It's for backup, if there are issues with the primary SIM/provider. FRom the manual: "You can also insert an extra SIM card as a backup connection. To active the backup connection, please enable to auto-switch option on the mobile interface."
does it work in any country?

Can I connect the outdoor router to indoor WiFi routers
You would probably be best looking at a wireless access point so it provides your Wi-Fi signal but it doesn’t need to do routing because it’s already happening

Need a fixed ip sim for cctv?
The likelihood is it’s probably cheaper to use a service for instance, one provided by cloud flare that allows you to connect to them and then they give you a public IP
@UKsystems thanks for the reply, just 3 years later 😂
@@brittenv1000 at the very least this helps other people
@UKsystems cool. I just bought an ee sim and it works perfectly
