I like this project and how you work thru your mistakes. Looks like your wife knows exactly what to do with your creations and ideas.
Thank you very much for your comment Pam Cook .Cheers Ahron👍👍🙏
In the words of Bob Ross, “We don’t make mistakes, we have happy accidents” great piece.
I second that.
Thank you very much . I like Bob Ross very much , he makes me look good . 😂😆😂
Ahron, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity. Mistakes are how we learn, and you covered yours beautifully. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you very much Pauline Bradford for your comment.Cheers Ahron🙏
I like it too Ahron. "Your wife probably won't let you give it to anybody". That made me laugh. You're going to have to build her a bigger house.. 😂
I'm the words of the famous Bob Ross, "There are no mistakes, just happy little incidents". 🥂 Cheers
Thanks Nena i like Bob Ross very much , he makes me look good . 😂😆😂
@@oldmanwoodcraft you are good... 👍👍👍
I love the way you are always doing something defense 👍👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
Thank you very much Richard Johnson . cheers Ahron👍
Genius recovery, still turned out.
Thank you very much. cheers Ahron👍
There are no failures in a design process. It's always, what you make out of a mistake. And your solution looks really great. The two lines on the side make your vase looking way more interesting. I like it.
I'm a little reminded to a LAMY Fountain Pen. They had this two stripes on the side, where you could look, how much ink where in the cartridge. I love this design till today. So it's absolutely normal, that I love the design of your vase. Congratulations to this beautiful piece of art.
Thank you very much Ditk Now when i look at it you are 100% correct it does look like a LAMY Fountain Pen.
Great idea but that was a tricky one
Thank you very much Anthony yes it was and almost i throw it away. cheers Ahron👍
Yes I liked that you shared how you changed your design and did not throw it asway. The extra "windows" to the neck of the glass are an excellent feature.
Thank you very much for your comment .Cheers Ahron👍👍🙏
I really enjoy Watching u turn and really enjoy your projects its never a fail just a modification..lol..I really learn alot thanks for the great videos..
Thank you very much Brian Chadwellfor all your support🙏
Always great ideas and I enjoy watching the way your mind works when presented with a challenge. Keep them coming ❣️❣️❣️
Thanks so much! 😊Gaynl
It's always a learning process. Sounds like you have some good ideas for the next attempt.
Thank you very much it is on my drawing pad . cheers Ahron👍
Sixth like and second comment! I like it and I also use oak (I get cheap seasoned off cuts). As for mistakes - I made three - count them - three ‘funnels’ this week simply by not measuring properly. They were resin inlay bowls so I filled in the holes with the same coloured resin and now I have a niche market 🌞
Ray you make me feel good , so i am not the only one that makes mistakes and funnels😂😂😂😂 have a great day
Great save, I like it
Thank you Vern
Very creative and beautiful
Thank you very much Patricia May . cheers Ahron👍

That came out great Ahron. I like the extra windows and it's nice that it's not all completely symetrical!
Thank you very much John . cheers Ahron👍
I like the accidental slits.
Thank you very much Morgan Calvi . cheers Ahron👍
Great idea, your next one will be better after you experience from this one.
Thank you very much for your comment.Cheers Ahron👍👍🙏
I like It Ahron. 👏👏
Thank you Amauri
מקסים, איזה יופי של פיתרון יצירתי ❤
תודה רבה גיסתי
Ahron, thank you for this video. It is an excellent idea and I appreciate you sharing what worked, what did not and what you would do next time.
Glad you enjoyed it Josh Blumenthal .Take care
Great idea Ahron, I think you might be right about using a harder timber. As for the error, a bloke in my woodworking club told me once when talking about mistakes or problems. 1. can you fix it, 2. can you hide it or 3 can you make a feature out of it. It was great advice. Thanks for the video 👍😉
thanks Dennis your opinion is very important to me .Cheers Ahron
I like it too. Anxious to see your next project. See ya
Thank you so much
Un vrai artiste Ahron bravo 👍👏
Thank you very much Denis Viénatfor all your support🙏
Lovely vase Ahron.
Thank you very much Doug . cheers Ahron👍
A happy little accident - not a mistake 🙂 It looks just fine. One of these days I will have to try one of these inside-out turnings.
Just a thought, even though your solution to the exposed seam worked just fine, you could also have glued a piece of different colored wood into that slot by letting the inserted piece go all the way through, in one side, out the other, Then, after turning it to fit the outside of the turning, you could have drilled a hole in the center to get that round hole you were after. Then, split it apart and put in the flask and finished it off.
Thank you Qapla for your comment and the great idea . i will put it in my solution bank for my further mistakes (that probably i will do)Cheers 🍺
Turned out amazing... you always come up with such original and cool ideas 😊 love it ❤
Thanks so much 😊Heather
You are the artist. Do we agree with your decision?? I wonder if any one asked PICASO if he made the right decision? Great ideas you always have. I look forward to you next many projects.
Thank you very much for your comment Ed Heide .Cheers Ahron👍👍🙏
It looks great sir have a great day ✌️
Thank you very much👍
Very good idea. Even though you had challenges, I think it turned out beautiful. When you mentioned using a different wood next time, my first thought was Padauk. Great project Uncle Ahron
Thank you very much my friend .
I kinda liked the concept. I wonder if you could do an opening on just two sides (like on the neck) and join those bottom openings to the top openings so there's uninterupted glass from the bottom to the top. Just thoughts.
Thanks Michael , it is an interesting idea can you elaborate more so i can wrap my head around it
Imagine a glass vase, encased in wood, with slits (just like the ones you put in yours) that run uninterupted from almost the top of the wood to almost the bottom. For stability you'd probably need to limit the number of slits to just two place 180 degrees apart, but you could widen them to show more of the glass.
Brilliant idea. Were they mistakes or were they happy accidents that you learned from? I think it turned out really nice even though you had some difficulties.
Thank you Richard Slade i am glad you like it and found it interesting and beautiful . Cheers Ahron🙏🙏👍
Wonderful project! Excellent decision to keep it and recover from the error. Would it have been possible to make four slots in it instead of just the two, or would it make it too weak? I agree, maybe consider drilling out the middle to make it round instead of square if there is a next time. Don't make such nice projects and your wife won't insist on keeping them. 😉 You are your own worst critic.
Thank you Mark ,you are 100% right it will be to weak , It was a design mistake doing the neck but i learned from it . thanks for your comment .
