One chord on a loop is extremely valuable for exploring new ways of anchoring solos and different scale and arpeggios ideas. Try a bit of E min maj 11 arpeggio, descending A or F augmented arpeggio, A flat lydian augmented (F melodic minor) or C # lydian augmented (B flat melodic minor), C# diminished, A minor pentatonic, A/C# whole tone, G lydian dominant (D melodic minor), F lydian, D dorian flat 2 (C melodic minor), even D double harmonic major mixed in with your standard dorian and minor pentatonic over this! :-)

What do you mean by nerdy ? Examples ?

I think that the seventh chord of Cmajor7 ( B7b5) arpeggios sounds very jazzy if playing arpeggios starting on root, fifth and seventh,

The VII chord of Cmaj7 is not B7b5 but Bm7b5.
