This video showcases a 100% full game playthrough of Sonic R Mania for PC. Sonic R Mania is a mod for the PC version of Sonic R that changes the textures of every stage to resemble the main stages from Sonic Mania including Green Hill as Resort Island, Studiopolis as Radical City, Mirage Saloon as Regal Ruin, Chemical Plant as Reactive Factory, and Egg Reverie as Radiant Emerald, along with their music. This mod also affects the hud and main menu elements. In this video I showcase all characters, Chaos Emeralds, & S Coins.

This is a really clever mod to breath new life into an old game. Also 4:00 having to mute music due to false copyright claims, you're not the only one getting sick of this...
Yeah, this mod is pretty cool for Sonic R and it’s definitely my favorite mod for the game. Also yeah, copyright claims are definitely a huge pain. I wish they didn’t exist if I’m honest.

It's not sonic R without the original godly soundtrack. Sonic mania music is good, actually more than good, but I wouldn't want the original sonic R OST to be replaced.

I would have liked new tracks entirely but this texture pack looks pretty good on its own. Mirage Saloon is a great fit for Regal Ruin, my favorite of the original tracks

Wow, the "boss" fight with the doctor, complete with decreasing rings, was really something else! Never would have even considered that idea.

The og look on the Saturn isn't bad, but this somehow screams more Sonic even if the gameplay is the same.
Sonic R was rushed so maybe with a bit more time they couldve realized and done something like this...?

Dude, this hack of Sonic R is awesome! Where it is based off the gameplay level aesthetics of Sonic Mania where the original levels were changed to the ones taken from Mania which I thought was very creative for the hacking team behind this!

Really wish there is balances mod though. Like no matter how much game is modded, Sonic and later Super Sonic is literally the only character worth using for.
How is the eggman boss keeping up with Super Sonic? I don't remember anyone being able to keep up with him in the original. Did they buff the ai or stats?

They need to see about including control improvements and implementing modern day controllers to it. Or at least the options to tweak things.

I literally JUST played Sonic R on PC and somehow this shows up lol! so random! Most of the stuff like sonic robo blast and sonic AIR im not a fan of, and I stick to the classic Genesis games and stuff, but Sonic R is an exception, 1 of my favorite games growing up. Back then games didnt have tons of levels and crazy features so, this game not having a ton of stuff wasnt a big deal because it was just a fun good game, and was the first true 3D sonic game! It took like 2.5 years for us in north america to get Sonic Adventure and finally get a true 3D game after R (and as you all know I assume, Sonic 3D Blast is not a 3D game, if you didn't know that, look it up friends!)

Yeah maybe a sequel to the game could be made imagine how awsome that would be if it actually ended up happening
The cool thing is is that supersonic is actually on a timer if you want to have a chance to win as super Sonic your going to make sure that his ring count doesn't reach zero. Or else I think you transform back to regular Sonic and lose those buffs
(A few minutes later) wow! So he doesn't lose his powers and go to regular Sonic when he runs out of rings. Well It is a mod so I guess they couldn't really stop super Sonic from being able to be played even without any rings
I love how Metal Sonic is faster than a doll and should have got that stage, yet Tails doll gets the longer stage and faster speed. Maybe they should replace studiopolis with Stardust Speedway.
