Sorry its been so long. We are in the Clearwater/Dunedin area, as opposed to Tampa. You're right, life roars by and we have our memories. UA-cam and the Sailing Hideaway blog have been wonderful. When we need some cheer we bring up our videos and watch them all! And the blog is turning into a memory log of sorts. I encourage everyone to keep a log and videos of where you went and what happened. They are a real treasure. You don't have to make them public. Small Boats Rock! M

Five years ago I decided to downsize from a Catalina 25 and bought my 1995 Com Pac 23/3 "Dolphin" in part due to the fun you and your wife were having on Hideaway. Thanks for the inspiration. Sorry to see you parting with the boat.

There were several times over the years that the "little bit bigger bug" bit, but when we looked at how we like to sail and where, the Hideaway always was the first choice. The Com pac 23 is very well designed. Don't want to let her go, but ....

Who ever said the happiest day of boating life is when you sell your boat obviously never owned a sailboat! This is hard.

We kept the Hideaway, our CP23, in a 30 foot wet slip for several years thinking we'd trade up just a few feet. When those thoughts would occur we'd take the Hideaway out for a sail and realize the Hideaway was perfect for our needs. We miss her dearly. Looks like your channel picks up where we left off. Excellent videos - they bring back lots of memories for us. Thanks, Matt

I was just sort of fantasy browsing com-pac boats for sale when I came across hideaway. what a great daysailer/cruiser for a couple, and with such a well documented history. it is priced very aggressively for everything included- I wish you the best with the sale! my trailer sailor dreams are on hold as we pack up to leave south FL. our family is aging in NJ and we are being crushed by the cost of living here. fortunately, we are looking at places along the deleware river and I've found an old canoeing and sailing club close by, the red dragon canoe club to do some day sailing :) again best of luck, tons of boat for the money!

I've been hearing a lot about people leaving south Florida because of the high cost of living and hurricane risk. Sounds like you've found a way to stay on the water and its always good to be near family. I've been eyeing building a couple of CLC kayaks or maybe finding a smaller shallow draft cabin sailboat. Thank you for your kind words about our boat. We've had quite a bit of interest in the Hideaway. I don't want to see her go, but I know its time. All the best to you and your family! Red Dragon Canoe Club? Sounds interesting! M

SV HideAway! I recently came across your listing on boat trader and filled the "contact the seller" form as requested. I hope it is received however I have never used boat trader before and would like to be sure I am able to get in contact with you. If my original message is not received, is there another way I can contact you? Thanks! (A bit of fan mail - your videos are fantastic. I sure wish I stubbled upon them when restoring my last boat (1983 Cal 35).) Fair winds to ya!
