As wet slips continue to rise in price along the West coast of Florida the reasons to keep a trailerable sailboat in the water become harder to defend and the concept of making 50kn into the wind down I75 becomes desirable.
In this edition of The Adventures of the HideAways we see other solutions and hear the cautions of someone who partially built a trailer for a Compac 23 sailboat and lived to tell the tale.

Does anyone know if this is possible with a 5 ft keel?

Anything is possible but you would need a massive trailer and tow vehilcle. A boat of that nature would need a crane to launch. Such a boat can be transported but would not be considered a trailer-sailor
