I bought the Pergo restore kit and there isn't any color chart or instructions in the kit. How do I match my Montgomery apple floor, and what are the instructions for mixing and applying? Lacquer is in the kit also so when do I apply it?
Can I use this kit to fill in gaps? I installed new Pergo hardwood floors, but for some reason a few now have small gaps. I heard floating floor can shift based non the weather change and I suspect that is what happened as I had 0 gaps. I was wondering if it's possible to use this gap to fill the small gaps? Thank you.
Hi Marco, Sadly enough this won't work. It is only meant to fill small damages in a panel. Panels will move too much (due to shrinking & swelling of the boards, and due to walking on the floor) and the wax will break. Normally the floor will swell again in the summer period (since it's more humid) and the gaps will again disappear. ^Jolien
@@PergoGlobal I am having a simular problem. There is a gap in my floor in a low visible, low traffic area. The gap appeared most likely during the laying, as the space to the wall had to be increased slightly, and the people laying the floor gave it a little tap in the "wrong" direction. it is in a board that was hard to cut due to it's weird shape, so replacing it sounds like a pain. Can I use this, or maybe some form of acryllic?

Hi! Can I use this kit to repair a larger damage? It is about 1 cm2, and I can clearly see the HDF part. Shall I apply something before the wax (e.g. SafeSeal)? Thanks in advance.
Hi Pablo, The Pergo repair wax can only be used for small damages, otherwise the wax will be too visible. In your case it would be better the replace the whole plank: ua-cam.com/video/H8FxOOTkjow/v-deo.html. In case of other questions, don't hesitate to get in touch! ^Jolien
Hi and thank you for your answer, I keep some spare planks so it was good to see the video on how to replace it. Still I might give it a try with the wax and if it turns out to be too visible I will replace the plank then. Regarding resistance to water, is the wax enough or is it advisable to seal it first with some product? Or impossible to leave it water resistant without changing the plank?
Hi Pablo, You don't need any other products. The wax will prevent the hdf against the water. Of course we do not talk about large quantities of water, but about a few drops that fall on the floorboard. ^Jolien

@@PergoGlobal The colour chart reference is supposed to be on the site pergo.com but isn't easily found. Can you add a link to the video description?
I still can not find the color chart online. Could you please share the link here?

So how long does it last? Does it stay like that for many years, or does it fall/wear out before that?
Did you repair your floor using this stuff?
