I don't know about you but I am having a hard time believing I have a 6th grader already!!! But our breakdown is: Math: Masterbooks Math Lessons for a Living Education (she has loved this series...we only changed it one year and then we came back to it) Language Arts: Classical Conversations Essentials Class covers Grammar & Composition. We will continue to do copy-work, vocabulary (based on her reading) and spelling (based on her writing) on our own. Science: Masterbooks God Design: Life (This is our first year trying their Science so we shall see how it goes) History (this is a group subject): We are using Old Fashioned Education's Ancient History program with some modifications Bible: We are following the reading from Old Fashioned Education's Ancient History. This is also a group subject Reading: I have a stack of Non-fiction for her to read and she will be following Easy Peasy's Reading level 5 (with oral or written narrations) Art/Music: We will do this with our Classical Conversations Community but we will also be following Easy Peasy's Art & Music lessons (Ancient) Language: Spanish & Hebrew with Easy Peasy
I’m bawling at the fact that my baby is growing up. All I can think is before I know it he will be in high school 😭 it sounds like you all have a great year planned! I wish we had gone back to Master Books math after TGTB but I’m excited for Apologia. I think we will do that or Denison come 7th grade.
@@HomegrownHomeschool me, too!!! I feel like High School is way too close, too!!!! BUT, I am thinking about following Masters Books' math for 7th, too...but I am unsure because it is a different series...I think we will look at it together and then we can both come to a decision.
I love your choices! Can't wait to hear how the Bible curriculum and crime scene kit work out for you guys. We are trying out apologia math for the first time this upcoming year. Super excited. I plan on using IEWs online writing curriculum in a year, when I have a 7th grader. Sounds really good! Gonna try all about spelling this year for the first time. Hoping it works out for us! Hope you guys have an awesome school year!❤❤
We are instrested in using that math curriculum in a few years time!!! My older kids are doing a deep drive into the Old Testament!!! I think we will need to find a different history curriculum!!! I prepare morning basket as we get to them!!!
@@HomegrownHomeschool oh ok so more for purposes of being able to read cursive. I was scratching my head trying to think of practical uses and all I could think of was signing their name.
@@madiha3299 totally understand that. That was my first thought too a few years ago but since I’ve realized how much I’ve read in cursive over the course of my life and how we should always have the ability to read important documents, especially those contain our rights as citizens. I hope if you’re interested in a cursive curriculum you find a great fit ❤️
I've been searching for an online herbal remedy class, and I must say, that book you're using looks amazing! would you be kind enough to share what course you used? Thank you so much!

Love it! 😍
Is cursive really needed now that we’re moving more towards digital for everything? What are your thoughts?
I 100% think it is. I want my kids to be able to read letters and documents like our bill of rights and constitution.
