I love how every skill is based off his overall crit chance, and yet he skipped the skill that actually boosted crit chance, which would have improved all of the others.
He also skipped over dex for a large part. The crit chance and crit damage stat. The strength bonus to click damage being pretty minimal warrants maybe a little investment but by ignoring dex so much the autoclicks were a rarity to crit. And yet they were probably still the majority of his damage, given he was getting 84+ of them a second at the end. All in all, could have shredded the enemies even faster.
Oh. OH. Pay attention to 4:10 to 4:23 or so. I think he thinks that it's not +1% additive, but +1% multiplicative, so 10 points into it would mean that his crit chance is 110% of the base value listed (so 12% crit chance base would go to 13.2%).
So one of the upper skills is a chance to auto use a skill when another skill is used. The 6th skill iirc, multiplies all the effects of a characteristic. Intelligence increases the effect of these activated item skills further. With cooldowns reduced (there's an artifact that halves cooldowns but massacres efficiency but this is offset with the stat boosting off activations and is one of the strongest artifacts imho as a 30 second cooldown is now 15, with other cooldowns it gets wacky fast) you can trigger skills frequently. You will need 150+ energy to maintain all skill uses and energy regeneration is quite important. But it is possible for the 6th skill to trigger multiple times and stack. This is how you get the 1 billion damage in one hit achievement also. Finally, once you've finished the game the first time unlocking the multiclass card is amazing. The bottom and top row skills are choose just 1 max but every other skill can be mixed however you like. Oh, and sutomste item uses, triggering say multiple skills off studies is good as you can manually pop that for burst and heals at a certain life toral. The hardest difficulty I've made it 50 odd rounds, apparently the key is fishing for the right artifacts initially which can take a lot if time, but unsure the ideal survivability vs damage mix. Poison is largely a trap but can get some interesting combos off artifacts gor stacks of poison etc.up to the middle tier difficulty with everything unlocked, I've finished things with just intelligence stat points.
So the final boss literally in their dialog just says "so you're going to kill me now?" and just accepts that if you made it to lvl 100 you are going to be steam rolling things, a lot of the dialog in this game is really goofy and fun if you actually read though it, and there isn't much... except for the boss in NY, grandpa sure knows how to talk
I really like how overall the game takes a concept that is old and drawn out, but applies a lot of new mechanics that make it really interesting - like the cards and overall, Skills, Equipment and Character Overview (as well as statting there). It's not that nothing of that ever existed, but it combines them in a very nice overview. And the moment you hear "Clicker" for you, it's obvious the macro will burn to death xDD
When he was talking about the shield gained when he crits being useless, my first thought was "what do you mean useless? If you're gonna do crits every other hit, that skill has the potential to double your health bar and work as infinite hp and your calling it worthless?" One of my favorite things to do in games is the complete opposite of what he does, that being making the most tanky character imaginable. Nothing gives a better feeling than walking into a room and getting shot hundreds of times, only for like not even 1% of your hp to be gone.
@@GudziGudzi that skill reminded me of a power up (I guess you could call it that) where any healing passed your max hp would be converted into shield, especially doubling your health bar. That skill seemed like one of the most unbalanced and broken skills of that entire skill tree.

This is literally one of the only UA-cam channels that I try to watch every single video that is posted and I'm subscribed to a lot lolololol
DF hasn't played enough Risk of Rain 2 (or any game that deals with crit multiplier) to comprehend how important the difference between 100% crit chance and 50% crit chance is.
a great build is maxing crit chance and getting that shield on crit skill maxed, because it stacks so once you have a lot of crit chance youre constantly gaining shield an it really makes you tanky, also that one skill that adds a autoclick on crit chance basically just means when you crit it hits the enemy with a normal autoclick amount of damage
DF should play Grow Castle which is a defense game and you grow your castle the more you level it up and you have archers and mini-towers. And some heroes/mini-tower can get a big upgrade when you lv it up enough. It would be cool if you play this.
12:19 is it just me or when he selects the Ariadne's Threads, he actually gets the Aztec Poison? His enemies are showing up as poisoned, after that, and the checkmark is on it not the Threads.

this reminds me of allods online, where you could simply mop the floor with your enemies just investing in "luck" stat, which in fact was crit chance. The stats on the weapons alone were enough to bring the damage to the crits. That game was wonderfull and fantastic, but the luck stat made it so broken.
hi just wanted to point out that if you have the right upgrades namely regen and 5 stat points up every 2 minutes you can just sit on the first enemy and build stats without progressing. so you could start a run and just let the game idle for 20 hours and start your run with 1000+ modifier in each stat.
@@auretioustaak6579 so to do it it's best to have green slime and frogman researched. With those you just start a run and do not attack and just wait there taking hits and healing while the frogman ability increases a random stat every 2 minutes.
