    After watching your video finally I upgraded head light and FOG lamp of my car to LED 4300K.The visibility on road is much much better compared to white colour lights. It is observed that LED shop owners don't tell all these details and almost every one was offering 6000k to 6500k white LEDs. After requesting only the Shop owner gave me 4300k LED light. It was very surprising to me. Thanks Mr. Jay D for making a honest review and finally we are benefited. God bless you always.😊😊😊🙏🙏

      Thanks a lot Anil . Fun fact - 6000k/6500k are cheaper to produce and hence profit margins bigger for mfg and dealers - hence the push and also we as customers also sometimes are less informed .
      But really happy that you made the right choice

    One info guys.
    Xhp 50/70 will look like a small round bulb- offer more spreading over light concentration
    Csp/ luxeon will look flat thin strip - offer concentration over spread and is closest to actual halogen filament
    For headlights - high or low - prefer csp over older cob as we want halogen bulb like concentration focusing (hotspot)
    For fog lamps it’s okay to go with older COB as they will spread more with less range(flooding)

      All leds operate at lower wattage than claimed after heating up to attain steady state - expect 20-30% drop so going with higher wattage makes more sense.
      Between the three take the higher wattage one and then consider warranty and chip and then price .
      For the benefit of other can you share your city name and pricing for these options ?

      Congrats firstly. Thanks for kind words .
      Yes the v/vx share the same lighting setup.
      As you have seen with poor road lighting and unruly driver who drive with high beams on , I felt necessary to upgrade to a powerful light to better object detection early on .
      I will say first plan to upgrade the low beams as that is what matters most in city with 4300/4500k LEDs.
      Then depending on your driving conditions plan for high beam and fog lastly.
      I am actually still searching for a pair of 4300/4500k for high beam but most places peddle the 6000-6500k leds so search is on!

    Great choice for the LED setup and thanks for the info on how to choose the right intensity bulb. Just a quick question, you got installed LEDs only for the low beam projectors right ? So, does it fulfills the req or does it feel if there's a need to change the bulbs for high beam reflectors as well ?

    • @jayd5030
      @jayd5030  2 роки тому +1

      Yes on lower beam as of now as they are the primary light source on city traffic - and they are huge upgrade over halogens .
      The plan was to get high beams in same config but stocks are very low and hard to get - as plan B., I may go for 30/38w 4300K as I will seldom use them- mostly to warn, momentary long distance lookup or force a dipper from an idiota.
      Also , now with this led , I have a very bright foreground , and the lower output of high beam may affect object identification/ reaction in long range - so a comparable output on high beam is desired.

      Thank you …hahaha even I’m searching for H11/H16 for fog lamps … forget online options as they will only have 6000-6500k
      Best option is to check with offline stores on your city and you have to try all . Based on my research these are some brands and options :
      1. Maxxlink/Axxess- both source from same Chinese mfg even box is same
      2. DHC pro-4300k- not sure on pricing but 45w may be 6k
      3. Stun - 4300k but in 35w/55w - price - 4K/7k
      4. Auxbeam S3- 4300k 30w each - around 4.8k
      5. GPNE - 4500k - 55w- around 7k
      6. excelite -30w - 5.5k perhaps
      Problem is suppliers/distributors send 4300/4500k in fractions , so low very few stock them- again as most ppl prefer that ice cool white look of 6000-6500k
      Also 6000-6500k LEDs are cheaper to make than lower color ones
      Btw you have another option - get iph m617 bi led fog projector setup - I think they come in 5000-5500k color - costs about 7-8k and will fit with your factory fog wiring

I felt very bad even though I just used to flash when overtaking etc. So after 1 month, I removed my high beam's lens and again put my same halogen bulbs back. So the question I wanted to ask is - IF we put this 4500K LED in high beam in HONDA CITY (my current car) reflector slot, will it not scatter light too much and blind oncoming traffic. @vishnukumarkailashkumar6211
      Hi Vishnu - first thanks for being one of the more responsible drivers on road
      Reflectors will scatter and that is why proper alignment is necessary - the ideal alignment is to have the led chips on side - at 3 and 9 pm clock position when viewed from front - this makes it closest to original filament .
      The goal is to create that proper focus some 50-100 feet away like your old halogens and not the wall of light you might see with improper upgrade
      Also another great option is to go with led m617 types projector fog lamps - just ensure combined wattage doesn’t exceed the current wattage - in v/vx we have 19w per bulb . Not sure about zx fogs

    • @vishnukumarkailashkumar6211

      @@jayd5030 Thanks for your response. Mine is VX 2023 MMC. Noted your tips on the positioning of the chips, and your alternate option of led projector for fog lamps. But I wanted to ask 1 more question. In my previous polo, for the low beam I had gone with proper bi-xenon HID projector setup, and the output was simply superb. Like you mentioned, the output got cut on the right side, and there was a proper cut-off horizontal line above which the light never shone. That was fantastic! So naturally what I wanted to ask was - is it ok to have a LED with a projector setup (since HID projector would be too expensive) in the high beam too? Will it be overkill?

    • @jayd5030
      @jayd5030  9 місяців тому +1

      @vishnukumarkailashkumar6211
      Fundamentally By design HIDs are closets to halogen - instead of a filament you have a thin gas discharge tube with way more intensity but almost at the same focal point in the concave surface . So that’s why you got the best output from the bi focal hid projector earlier both low level spread and long distance high beam - in both focal length the hid was in its optimal place
      Leds given their structure try their best to mimic this physical need - that’s why on oem lamps you will mostly see a singular led chip for one reflective surface . What we are doing here is retrofitting with the hope that the incoming led bulb will somehow be closets in focal position to outgoing halogen, so it will never be perfect sadly .
      Should we have a projector for high beam - yes - depends on your need - if you need far away surfaces to be brightly light around a centre HOTSPOT . That’s where bi focal led projectors shine - they were made with the led chip at its optimal focal position. You also get what’s referred in market as laser lights that output in a square pattern at 200-300 feet - which is awesome for bright hotspot 100s of feet away to give you more reaction time
      In your case I would say visit some good lighting installers and ask them if they can demo good bi focal led fog projectors - so you can decide if that is what you seek - with or without assist from high beam

      You have to try multiple shops cause stocks are negligible for this color - but try konark , glamour or Sachin’s . Color and wattage may slightly differ

      All LEDs deliver lower wattage as they heat up - eg - a 55w claimed unit will probably run at 38-43w steady , while a 35w unit may run at 25-28 range
