I was at the concert in this video by accident… I went because The Radiators were playing!! This show really did impact my life and I count most members of the band, and the people I have met because of them since this night as some of my dearest friends!! Just saw CM again on New Years Eve in Boca!! Still kicking ass and causing harm to vocal cords after almost 20 years!!
@@jaysee4992 same Just happened to be at the beach one night when they were playing decades ago. I've seen them more than any other band in my life. Just bought tickets for May so I can finally share the experience with my daughter.
Yeah, dude. They used to play my hometown pretty frequently, and, no matter how many times I saw them live, their shows never got old. Such a fantastic fucking show.
I saw them many years ago at Music Midtown in ATL (actually seen em a few times there over the years) and the singer/drummer got his tech to play this song while he climbed the scaffolding of the stage. BTW, he was a lot thinner then lol. Anyway, he got about 30 or 40 ft up there (he took a mike with him) and said "insurance is for sissies" as he was hanging on with one arm...funny as hell & will never forget it. BTW, he also said he wrote this song when they were in Atlanta. Cool band, good times!
They came to a local music festival when I was in high school! They played the 11:00 stage on a Monday. I wanted to leave but my friend said “no we gotta stay to see cowboy mouth” They played an entire set, brought SO much energy, we bought their cd then drove around in her shitty Saab for months! We’d get on the interstate and just floor it with this shiz on.
part theater, part revival, part frat party, part mardi gras. you will be forever changed after a CM show, whether fred sprays you with sweat, tosses you a drum stick, snarls-smiles, exhorts you to leap, sing or get down. its a jolt of energy. you wont need caffeine for days.
Legendary live shows. First saw them open for Barenaked Ladies in the late 90's. Saw them numerous times after that, whenever we could. My kids grew up on them. Best show was on Landsdowne St. in Boston, during the 2003 Cowboy Up playoffs. Fred chanted "the name of the band is COWBOY UP!" and the crowd went stupid. Climbed up to the balcony. Man knows how to play an audience. I miss Paul Sanchez especially, but also JTG and Rob Savoy. What a great lineup.
I first saw CM at Springfest in Pensacola, FL back in the 90's. They weren't as well known then and were on the bill in the early afternoon. Probably 100-200 people were watching the show. I was sitting on the VIP bleachers off to the side of the stage. Fred jumped off the stage, marched over, grabbed me by the arm and dragged me down to the front of the stage. He then rounded up anyone who was nearby and demanded we join the crowd. CM then commenced to rock our world. I'm a convert.
Drake Hall at 96.1 in Memphis, TN turned me onto this one...he always has amazing top shelf taste!! He has an app on all the stores as well, so check them out. Getting me a great playlist together to play along to on my drum kit, including this gem!!
I saw them a few years back in Nashville at the Dancin' in the District concert series. They weren't the headlining band that night, but after all the energy we had was given up for Cowboy Mouth, just about everyone left before Better than Ezra came on stage. Cowboy Mouth is, as Fred puts it, a pure rock 'n' roll orgasm.
That was the most kickass video I've ever watched. I've known the song for years but unfortunately never able to see them live. That will change and soon. What a freakin' animal! Great stuff!!!
They came to huntsville's summer fest, they had all of downtown closed off and it was an epic concert in the streets, and cowboy mouth had all of downtown in riot mode...Trully EPIC concert.
love it love it love it love it. i could keep going but you get the point. BEST ALMOST EVER for those skeptics. this does not do them justice. you have to be there and get absorbed by the the crazinest that is COWBOW MOUTH
This is a cover of a Dash Rip Rock song from the 80s. Dash Rip Rock was from New Orleans and I still think they play gigs. I have the album called Ace of Clubs.
I see that the lead singer Fred Leblanc was the lead singer of Dash Rip Rock. I went to college in Louisiana in the 1980s. That was a while ago so I guess I am out of the loop. I knew this song from somewhere.
This is by far the best song i've heard from these guys...otherwise...they are average at best. I would be bored to tears watching these guys live. They are a less talented Radiators clone. Fred would grate on my nerves after two songs of trying to ram this boredom down my throat.
LADIES.AND.GENTLEMEN.ARE.YOU.WITH.ME. When I count to ten, we are going to scare the shit out of the security guards here, do you hear me ladies and gentlemen? ARE. YOU. WITH. ME???? lol
OK i admit i dont remember the drummers name but he had a black leather jacket when i talked to him at Enoch's in Monroe La in 1986. He and Bill did a great show and we talked about Georgia Satellites. I never understood what happened between these boys. I can only imagine what would happen if there was a reunion. Please make the music you did when you were together. Fuck the bullshit. the glass is half full.
Went to a Cowboy Mouth concert by accident one year. I’ve never had so much fun at a concert before. Blew me away!
How did you go... bu accident?

If you've never been to a CM show, you'll never understand...if you have, you can never explain.
Holy shit. I almost started crying this was so good.
Same
everyone should see this band at least once... they are awesome live
I have...awesome
I agree! Most fun I've ever had a a concert. And I been to a lot of them!
Yeah, dude. They used to play my hometown pretty frequently, and, no matter how many times I saw them live, their shows never got old. Such a fantastic fucking show.
saw them for 10$ a couple months ago
he is the definition of stage presence !
UA-cam needs a heart emoji just for this comment
The Mussolini of Rock n Roll
Most awesome live show I've ever seen.
These guys have so much character
Go Fred! Dash Rip Rock was freakin' entertaining, too, before Cowboy Mouth.
I ❤ Jenny 4ever!
Cowboy Mouth...awesome live show...I'm fortunate I've been able to see them more than once...Fred LeBlanc is the consummate showman...
This guy knows how to bring a show
perfect crowd worker and showman totally agree
I saw them live about 15 years ago, and as others have stated, one of the best live acts I've seen.
I saw them many years ago at Music Midtown in ATL (actually seen em a few times there over the years) and the singer/drummer got his tech to play this song while he climbed the scaffolding of the stage. I was at that exact same show
He was probably barefoot too.. Love this band...
Sorry, late input. I first heard the song in 1985 when Fred was in Dash rip rock.. It was first on the album Ace of Spades.
I was in high school when I heard this I’m a devoted 10 percenter, y’all are good

A drummer/frontman like Fred should spontaneously combust!!!
Oh heck. The old days.
i was like 10 or 12 years old at this show i am 22 now OMG i cant believe this show is on youtube its bringing me way back

I have always liked this song since the first day I heard it and I have to assume great performed live
I obsessively attended Cowboy Mouth concerts when I lived in Southern California from 1999 to 2003. I have seen shows with Rob.
CM is JTG for me. He noticed in the autograph line that I was NOT in California
The most energy of any band I've ever seen! Proud to be born in NOLA! And the name of the band is... :)
The best live show, period.
If you are not horse when you leave a Cowboy Mouth concert, you did it wrong... :)
Damn right
And your ankles are bleeding in your socks from dancing
Or hoarse
One of the best front men E-V-E-R!!
Best live band ever. It takes a week to come down.
I was lucky enough to get to see them live back in the day
Awesome performance.

Mother’s Finest is the only band that matches their energy level
I don't what year I went; I just remember being blown away! So glad I saw him LIVE ! ! !
(So much energy.)
"best live act you will ever see! " Totally Agree. Never miss when they come to d.c. FRED!!!!!!
The name of the band is, COWBOY MOUTH. One of the best live shows I've attended

Craig Kilbourne said " On a bad night they'll tear the house down, on a good night they'll save your soul"
Kilbourne was so good it's a shame they gave his show to that talentless hack Stewart
Actually, that was a review from CAKE magazine that he read before they played on his show.....
not a single cell phone in the audience.....thats how it should be
F'in Rock Star!

Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Get down....on the ground!
I saw them live in Atlanta, I left soaking wet and exhausted. Fred jumped off the stage dancing wit the ladies.
seen them in the 19 ninety's at regis and kathy lee in new orleans louisiana
The drummer is the singer/frontman.
saw them at bele chere, shit was nuts
Frederick just let God use you
I just saw then live last night and they were almost as good live as Slayer and Metallica!!!!
1:14 mom’s night out 😂
This is by far the best song i've heard from these guys...otherwise...they are average at best. I would be bored to tears watching these guys live. They are a less talented Radiators clone. Fred would grate on my nerves after two songs of trying to ram this boredom down my throat.
Hi
@skate2475050 This show was post Katrina
God damn, that looks like fun! When are they coming to Ohio?
The name of the band is...
Fred Leblanc. . .The Mussolini of Rock n Roll
LADIES.AND.GENTLEMEN.ARE.YOU.WITH.ME.
When I count to ten, we are going to scare the shit out of the security guards here, do you hear me ladies and gentlemen? ARE. YOU. WITH. ME????
lol
Does anyone know why they perform this one so fast?
Was wondering the same cause I rather the recording… it seems like it keeps speeding up when they sing it live
there should be a huge mosh pit for this song.
a hypnotist?
Josh Matthews from WWE at 1:22
Anyone know who his daughter is?
dood no way! my last name is lasseigne! not a very common name. i wonder if were related.
The name of the band is?!
