I'm a speaker head and love it when I find a speaker that has great sound and value. The Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 7 speaker is one of the best sound-to-value portable speakers I think is on the market right now. The sound out of this speaker for both in-door and outdoor use has great bass, tone and mid ranges. I think it could use a little more in the high-frequency area, but overall I give it 5/5 stars! My only comment is that the weight of it is much heavier than you might find in a smaller portable speaker coming in at around 7.25 lbs.

I was hoping for a louder sound onyx 7. The quality is good. But on 80 to 90% sounds 4 hours and empty battery.

Anyone notice that Onix 7 starts beeping when you pause the music/video?
I find that annoying, sometimes you just want to pause the content and go do something else.

Thanks so much. I was looking for an aux compatible device to add to my home office setup. I have a Sony preference vs your Bose preference. I was debating between this and the Sonry SRS XB-43 portable because it also has aux and speakerhphone capability for meeetings and it has lights to book. This thing is gorgeous though and I love the Planet Saturn like look. I just wish it was waterproof.

You can plug in an auxiliary if that's what your are asking. If you mean keeping it plugged in to the wall, yes, that too.

ya I returned it, ended up getting two tribit stormbox blast and two motion boom plus, motion booms in stereo are good for music, the two tribit work well in stereo for movies.
