060▶️ Sacred (Dreadbox - Nymphes with no external effects ; 6-voice analog polyphonic synth)

The challenge with this one was to use the Dreadbox - Nymphes, 4-voice analog polyphonic synth, as only instrument for the whole track, without any external effects! (only some EQ/comp for mixing purposes).
I'm not a big fan of the Nymphes' internal reverb, but had to use it for this track.
As I also wanted to have a kind of delay effect on the SEQ track (heard on the left speaker), I had to do it manually by re-recording a 2nd SEQ track (heard on the right speaker) after having shifted the MIDI notes of the first SEQ track 😅
I initially composed this track with the Conductive Labs - NDLR sequencer. I recorded its MIDI output in my DAW and later did some editing, adding some pitch bends, notes for transitions, etc.
I was quite surprised of how this little synth can be so versatile and sound fat! (There's been a lot of talk about its user interface, and indeed, I would have preferred either a small screen or a larger surface too!)

This one was quite a lot of work to set up actually (in particular because I had to think ahead of phase how those 6 parts would sound together after the recording of each one of them 😅) So thanks, I'm always grateful getting some feedback on this!

Sounds great, have you tried Nymphes v2 MPE with the Hydrasynth Keyboard? I also wonder how much different this sound would sound with an Hydra emulating the Nymphes he he ;)
Thanks Rubén! I haven't tried the Nymphes in MPE mode yet. Actually I think that the Nymphes and the Hydrasynth are quite complementary 😉 The Nymphes does bring some analog bliss that the Hydrasynth can't necessarily produce (however the Hydrasynth is way more versatile!)
I own one and I think the global LFO makes the pwm a little static compared to if it affected each voice independently. Plus the UI is difficult. Yesterday I almost made up my mind selling it, but I have the feeling I can make something out of it. But I rather have a Ju06a I think, despite digital.
I must say that I really like the sound & modulation capabilities of the Nymphes despite its twisted UI 😅. The JU06A UI is way more accessible, but it only has 4 voices of polyphony which can be somehow limited (and is indeed digital, but sounds great too). I decided to keep both for the moment 😊

Impressive work, especially I love the bass tuning👌. I need to learn for creating something like this, because I'm often using only one synth for all sounds in my soundset demos

It does need some preparation though knowing what you want to do in advance because when you start recording the first track, you must keep in mind what the other tracks will do 😅
I had the opportunity in the past to do some demos (audio only) using the same concept for companies selling presets, samples, etc. That was a nice experience 😃
@@2MinuteWarning As for compiling a Demo from one synthesizer, for me this is a common job, familiar already) The main question is how to camera it all and I wonder how long it will take and whether it will make sense, but it's definitely worth a try :)
@@NatLifeSounds Indeed it does take quite some time because as for the audio, you'd have to record a video for each part, then sync them together, do some video editing etc. but I do think you're right, it's worth the try 😉

I really enjoy the sound of the Nymphes and its modulation capabilities (as you might have read, its main drawback is the UI which can sometimes be a bit confusing, mainly when you are modulating a lot of parameters 😅)
