I nuked it with Tenacity last month, threw down a lot of seed and hoping for the best until August, when I'll start my fall overhaul of it. Keep the videos coming.
I just applied my first application of this product to the lawn, and I hope it comes out half as good as yours. The front and back lawns look fantastic, and that dark green color is stunning. Enjoy your holiday.
Great looking lawn my man! I live in central Indiana, do you think that Greenview Turf type Tall Fescue would do well here? You mentioned you over seed in spring and fall, do you use a pre-emergent for weeds in early spring? How does that affect your spring over seeding project? Also what type of pre-emergent do you use? Thanks again for the great videos! Killer deep green color on that lawn!!!
@user-un1ek3iz6k thank you. If I'm overseeding I won't use the pre emergent. I'll use the scotts built for seed that is the starter fertilizer plus weed preventer. If I don't seed I'll use the spectracide weed stop for lawns crabgrass preventer granular as my main pre emergent. The Greenview Turf type tall fescue should definitely work in your area. I hope this helps thank you for watching

How often should I fertilize...and what about during summer? Headed to watch your video on blade sharpening. By the way, I planted 216 St. Augustine plugs in the damaged area of my front yard. For some reason, the last two seasons, it emerges from the winter severely damaged, or some spots, the grass died.

Hello I live in Houston the weather is terrible it’s really hot I was wondering what I should start with first time treating the yard after I took care of the weeds after watching your video. I still have some weeds. I am just very new to all this as this is our first house. Also what kind of seed grass you use I have to take care of some of my yard.
Hi, I use turf type tall fescue by Greenview. Since you already started with treating weeds. You can start planting grass seed. Get the grass seed down so they can start germinating and after you get the grass established, you can come back and fight off any remaining weeds

I'm using the Performance Max plus a few GS Plant Food products this year and I really like how my yard is doing. One word of caution with the Performance Max though. Beauiful bro
What height is your mower?
What height do you suggest Bermuda being cut?
3.75 is my height of cut. For Bermuda grass about 1-2 inches looks good on it
Thanks for making videos, man.
No problem, thank you for your support
Looks like a beautiful carpet!!
Thank you 👌🏾
i see you bro im in the northeast two im on year 2 on fixing the lawn . you definitely out me on with the spray for the weeds . do you use a striper kit for your mower ?
Yes, I use a Toro striper
Love that deep color and I'm still working on getting those stripes but tackling a devil 😈 right now getting Bermuda out of my zoysia yard.
Bermuda is definitely tough it'll take over a yard
@@LawnAmateur My plan is to get my zoysia stronger and it will choke out the Bermuda. Many ppl have Bermuda but just don't know it bcuz it can blend in with other grasses. Easy to spot in the morning bcuz it holds the dew and stands out.
Looks awesome wish my yard did
I’ll be using it, happy holiday
Thank you. Don't worry you'll get there. Just a little TLC is required
Holy cow how tall is your grass
3.75
Happy Memorial Day! I accidentally cut my lawn low for the past two weeks, it’s browning out. Do you recommend fertilizing or just wait for it to grow in?
Happy Memorial Day. Yes you can fertilize the lawn. Just make sure to deeply water the lawn
Looks really nice!👍 Have to proud of that.
Thank you 👌🏾
It looks great, I used it this year ago, but I used the Scott's last year, I think the Scott's is a little better, but Sta Green is a little cheaper, can't go wrong with either one.
I always used scotts but they became a little too expensive and I also was curious about this brand because of all the extra nutrients inside the bag. But like you said can't go wrong either way. Thank you for your support
I applied this product last week. No change yet. How long it take to come into effect?
Normally take about 5 days to start seeing a difference. Did you water it in properly?
Im from CA, would I be able to use this fertilizer right now?
Yes
@@LawnAmateur thanks 👍. Also, is it the same as milorganite as to it won’t burn the grass?
@Miguel8. no, this one is different from milorganite. This is a synthetic fertilizer this will burn. So applying the proper amount is necessary to avoid burning
New subscriber, love your vids fam’ I just ran out and bought a bag, gonna lay it down tomorrow, been in my place for 3 summers and NEVER treated it’s after I lay it down what do suggest I do right after that and when??
Welcome and thank you. After you lay down the fertilizer water it in with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water and get ready to mow 2x a week if possible
@@LawnAmateur it’s been raining where I’m at, so when I wake up and grass is still wet do still need to water it in?
@antoinebaylor4166 no rain is fine
My brotha love your site. Keep up the good work. Make some videos my dude for thinned our lawns and to get it to that. All the weeds are gone. Its growing but this rain is killing me. Maybe i have to wait 5 seasons. Brotha your set up is looking good. Thanks for not gate keeping and explaining things from people like me. But i just want my yard to fill in like that. So many dead spots and then spots
Thank you bro for your support 🙏🏾. Start by reseeding those spotty areas and fertilizing the lawn that'll help thicken it up the lawn.
I used this brand last yr and the lawn got so thick even the stolons looked like they were on steroids. I had some left i tried to use it this yr. Big mistake the bag has humic so melted/sticky w the granules so it was hard to spread. So if you use Half or so place the rest inside where u have ac.
Thank you for that information 👌🏾
@@LawnAmateur this one is the few fertilizer that come w micro nutrients 👍
Your lawn is amazing. It looks like a baseball field. I wish that my yard would look like that. I have been slacking. My fur babies take up mist of my time. I have Zoysia grass. My lawn is not looking very good at all.
Just need a little TLC. You can do it.
I'm going to try this lawm looks awesome Thanks. ❤
Thank you. It's a great product and reasonably priced
Can I use on warm season lawn?
@user-tk7wg7xf4c Yes, it's perfectly fine to use
@@LawnAmateur thanks for reply, I will try
What grass type is that?
Turf type tall fescue by Greenview
Can you help me out with my blade sharpening, or changing it??
