This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is an incredible time capsule from the final year of E-Type production. Delivered new to Eckman Buick in Kokomo, Indiana, this E-Type has never left the state of Indiana and has been under the care of the Eckman family since brand new. Mr. Eckman always wanted a Jaguar roadster and his wish finally came true. He custom ordered the car in 1974 with desirable options of factory air conditioning and chrome wire wheels. Upon delivery of the car, he had the undercarriage coated by Ziebart to keep the Jag clear of rust while residing in Indiana. Since he ran a Buick / Chevrolet dealership, he kept the car under the dealership name and never registered the car. Due to this, miles were limited and the car remained on the original Certificate of Origin from Jaguar. The car was taken out of for weekend drives, occasional shows and parades and only in ideal weather. To this day, the E-Type has been left in incredible factory condition with its original paint, interior, soft top, drivetrain, and even the original Dunlop tires! Only 9,340 miles have been added since brand new and the car has seen recent service by Muncie Imports and Classics to bring the car up to date on mechanical service. MOTORVAULT is proud to represent a true motoring icon that as been left untouched since day one.

I’m not sure whether there’s another car that’s quite as badly disfigured by the US-spec 5 mph bumpers as the E-Type. Hideous. I’d remove them at once.

O.M.G. - oh to be rich enough to buy that - absolutely (and as has been said) the most beautiful car in the World.
