2024 Corridor Outdoor Adventures with cicadas

Join Corridor Outdoor Adventures they explore the 17 year periodical cicada (genus Magicicada) in Iowa. The year 2024 is a unique one in that we have different species of cicadas emerging the same year (and their incubation period to live as a nymph is 13- and 17-years under ground). While moles have enjoyed the nymphs under ground for those years, now it is humans, birds, raccoons, dogs, cats, etc turn to enjoy their sight and sound!! (Some who are adventurous to eat cicadas say they taste like SHRIMP)! In this video we show cicadas come from a nymph stage and attach itself to a surface then emerge a white color and spread their wings before they become black in color and are audible to find a mate. Listen to how LOUD they are. We received warnings on our phone and watch that the decibels were between 60 and 85 and not protect our hearing!! Join our adventure!
