From where i sit, I think it's adorable. It looks like a Fashion Week Runway dress. It has unique lines & hemlength like a '60s dress. The collar is reminiscent of 16th century, maybe. But of course, it now has a contemporary viewpoint. What do you need to do to make you feel better in it? Wait for spring, maybe a formal event? Long strand of pearls or long chain & hoop earrings, like in the 60's. Maybe a black velvet choker necklace.
thank you!! overall i just don't love how it fits and sits on me. It might be possible to make some changes but i'll need to revisit it in the future with a clear headspace. it wasn't the easiest to work with!🥴
Kudos to you for trying, learning, retrying, learning again, and sharing it even though you still didn’t like it! That’s brave, and your “just do it” attitude is always so admirable! 😊
Definitely a fickle fabric!! The final dress is giving retro future editorial, and the gathered neck modernizes it imo, but i understand your qualms! I'm happy to see your toiling in the studio! :)
I love your approach on this! If you dislike it like this you could try adding like an empire waist? Maybe just gather at around underbust and make the bottom more fitted? I hope you do something with it because I really want your journey with this dress to end with something you love. ❤️ I really appreciate that you shared this experience with us.
I'm sure it's only because it was curtain material that this didn't turn out how you wanted it to. I just made a 2-piece set out of a curtain and the fabric was not good to work with but I struggled through. :) I think you could turn your dress into something you would like still. It's really not bad. :)
Great to see your creative process! 🩷💜Would have loved to see a floor length skirt with pockets in this gorgeous fabric; in my mind it would have looked great with a white dress shirt (but then again: I’m not creative at all 😂)
Im glad you show us your mistakes... we all learn from mistakes, even others. Im sorry to mention it now that you have run out of fabric, but I was just thinking how nice it would look as the drop waist bubble hem dress,.

thank you so much 💖
Maybe the dresses didn't work out but it was fun to watch your video 😁
😊 thank you
Agreeeeee

haha definitely retro future!!
I love the finished product! But thank you for sharing what you are not happy with! It’s encouraging to hear we all feel this way sometimes!
thank you!! not every project works out haha but its okay!
Celebrate the fails - makes us learn and do better in the future. Thanks for sharing , your fails are wins for me!
Absolutely!
I honestly LOVED how it turned out 😂 This girl is ready for a party I really wish I were invited to... Reminds me of Effie Trinket, in the best way.
😂 she's really the best so that's a high compliment! 💖
Not a Fail, just your First Attempt At Learning this! It's Still Beautiful because you made it!❤
i'm going to start using this phrase from now on lol thank you!
The final dress looks like a burlap sack in the best way possible! 😂 it’s very high fashion

I'm still thinking about what to do with it, but i have some ideas. I think i'll approach it again in the new year!
Awesome! Can't wait to see what you will do with it! 🤩👍

thank you so much! sometimes it's worth the try haha

thank you!! that also could've been quite the skirt! sometimes it can be overwhelming with so many options haha

I'm sure I can figure something out with the fabric. It's too special to just leave!
❤ I love what you do.
thank you so much!
You should just do something with the lining fabric! Its a much better colour too! 😂
I'll definitely keep it aside for a better project haha. too good to let go
hehe i love your videos
If it still doesn't suit you maybe use the fabric for pillows in the living room. Ty for sharing.
Maybe you'll make the ambitious bag out of the dresses ;)
actually, that's a great idea haha.i'll have to think of some designs! thank you!!
That fabric was not made for clothes. And you almost made it work 😊❤❤❤
Almost! It's close but not quite there haha
That was not a total fail. I think it looked pretty
I feel like a fabric like this might work for a bubble skirt? But maybe it's too stiff
It's handy to see someone trying and failing - that's now a lesson that I hopefully don't have to learn the hard way!
very true! glad to fail for you haha
💒💒💒
You might not like it, but I think you had a great idea, maybe work at it a little more!
thank you!! i will revisit it in the future for sure
I love your creativity, please don’t stop! Thank you!
