I urge you to try constructing with your overnight. Particularly when you are taking as minimal SA you get a lovely finish inside, and with a4-thread stitch a very secure seam
Wonderful episode Sally 🥰 I really enjoyed having you sewing “alongside” me 😅 (making my first ever Myositis, I know I know, where/when do I live?? 🤣🤣) xx
I love a mini skirt and thick tights in the winter- another great pattern is the Nina Lee Camden skirt. I love the big pockets and have made a denim and a dark green corduroy version.
What a lovely Fall/Winter addition to your closet. I love that color! You did a beautiful job with the lining. It's nice to hear your commentary in between the sewing steps and it's so relatable hearing you hesitate or worry over how things will turn out. It turned out great!
Hi Sally. Your video release is perfect timing as I am just about to cut out the pattern and sew up the mini skirt using a cord fabric with the lining. Your skirt looks amazing. Thank you xx
You’ve made a really lovely job of that skirt . You should get plenty of wear from it over the winter months. I like to hear how you think things through ie: seam allowances . Normally I’m not a straight skirt person as I sport a pop belly and they don’t look that good on me! 😁 But. Maybe I might have a go at this , with a few adjustments it might work 🤔.
Yes I think it will be lovely! I have no idea how you would do this but maybe you could add a larger dart to give more shaping? There may be a tutorial out there. Thank you so much for watching xx
Hi Sally. I finished the Marnie in the ivory viscose with the undulating pleats and it looks lovely so thanks for your advice. Love your skirt. Super cute! Diana
I only recently found your youtube while looking for jumper ideas. I love your style and makes, you have a great eye, especially with what works well for you personally. I'm working on that in my sewing journey. I had to reach out to you because as I was watching a video on jumpers and knit dresses, you mentioned the fur backed sweatshirt fabric from Minerva. I have only found this fabric once locally and it is one of my favorites! Now I have a whole range of colors and can make a bunch of cozy makes! Thank you! And thank you for all of the style inspiration!
Love that look, Sally, tights, loafers and skinny jumper to match with your lovely skirt! Timeless and so flattering!
Thank you! I thought the loafers made a change from my usual boots 😆

Hi Sally, I love the skirt, it looks lovely on you. Can you tell me what kind of press cloth do you use, please?
Thank you so much! It’s a cloth from Amazon I think it’s a minky one I’ve actually had it for years x
The skirt looks fab. Can you sew this in a Jacquard and if so what weight?. Thank you.
Yes I think so! I would say a medium weight would work well x
I've never heard of bubble cord before! What were you using on top of it when you were pressing it? Thank you for the video!
