Thank you once again Paul and Fellipe, and thank you so, so much Aussie Debb. I appreciate all this wonderful John content. John's music has filled my life since I was 14 (I'm 71 now). Every day throughout those years, I've listened to his incredible voice. He's been there with me through the good days and the bad days, through the exciting days and the boring days. His voice and music will never grow old to me. I've been to literally dozens of his concerts. Even though he doesn't know me, he's a huge part of my life.

And that was his best mate Glenn Wheatley that he was hugging, who was playing the base guitar when he was performing You're the Voice at the Aria awards.
Glenn is the guy who Mortgaged his house to fund the Whispering Jack album.

He is about to win best Documentary Movie for Finding The Voice at the Logies. If everyone goes online and votes.
Watching him with his arm around Glenn made me cry. He was as much family as John is and I still cannot believe we lost him to COVID. Thank you.

Bon Scot who was the lead singer of ACDC was Scottish and introduced the bag pipes into rock music and because of their association with Scottish battles they are very appropriate to be used in these anthemic songs. They are beautiful and strong at the same time. We Aussies of course have a lot of British ancestory. They are just so good in You're the Voice. Thanks guys. Great presentation.

    • @carolynh8866

I have Scottish ancestry on my dads side. And a few relatives who can play the pipes and are in pipe bands. God awful instrument sometimes. Wheasing and hissing and bloody hard to sing along to unless you can sing in the key of B flat.
And if you've ever had to suffer while listening to someone learning to play bag pipes ...well you deserve a medal of valour 😂😂😂

AussieDeb, another awesome compilation showing the life and joy that is John Farnham. Everyone needs to see this life story of videos and background that you have showcased on all these videos. When they see this they will begin to understand John's personality, and everyone will love him as much as us Aussies do. Thankyou Deb, and thankyou Paul and Fellipe for giving us your time to share our John with the world, he deserves it after everything he has given to us. Loving your reactions Paul and Fellipe. You pick out all the little fun nuances in John himself and his performances that shows why we love him so much. Can't wait for 2hr interview collection of John. Hope we reach the target so you can react to it. I have watched it a couple of times and it really shows his gentle nature and personality. He can talk to anyone like he is their best friend. Just a good ol' Aussie bloke.

Re The Bagpipes. (I’ve read even earlier from Egypt. True or not, I don’t know
    * Bagpipes gained military importance in the 16th century, with pipers accompanying Scottish military forces into battle. The stirring sound of the bagpipes was said to boost the troops' morale and intimidate the enemy.
Personally I was born a Stuart, a Scottish surname, I have Scottish ancestors and I grew up wearing Stuart the Stuart Tartan skirt- sometimes.

You know that for the last year plus I've been following John, many times a day, by randomly selecting from what is on YT and viewing new uploads - now I can move your John Farnham History videos to one place. Heaven, absolute heaven. It must have taken a very long time to put this together - you're amazing, thank you. This old girl is in a very happy place! Aug'24. UK. E❤

This is part 1 of a tour that John did with his band from Cairns in far north Queensland to Brisbane. This will show you the extent of their closeness as a group. Btw, I prefer John's rendition of Help to the Beatles original. Far more emotive. Such a fabulous icon of Aussie music

If you want a really cool version of Burn For You, check out the link below and scrub forward to
28:15 to 38:30 he is in his 50s and singing it with Brett Garsid on guitar. Then he has a good joke around for a bit, but If you keep watching til 47:00, he is singing Angels with Lisa, also rather funny at first but beautiful. So worth the watch!
So 28 mins to 47 mins! Its the best! Starting with the country version of Burn For You!
