I'm not even a fan of both Newjeans and Le Sserafim but what Newjeans did in that live vs what LSF did on VMAs shows me what I need to know about these girls. One is used to victimising themselves and manipulating public opinion while failing to see their own wrongs and MHJ's evils. The other fights through criticisms and shows their strength by performing. Both had the privileges of debuting with the platform, resources and networks of BTS. But how they were trained seems very different and this issue is showcasing the character they actually have. I can't help but root for the girls MHJ bullied unfairly since debut. With all the perks and privileges, their success they wouldn't have had without HYBE, Newjeans continues to support people who orchestrated harming HYBE, its labels and groups including GFriend, Le Sserafim, Illit and BTS, who they used so much for exposure. This woman in both SM and HYBE have harmed employees, even covered up sexual harassment and then demoted, verbally abused and defamed the victim. It is insane to me how Newjeans is willing to risk their career for a pathological liar and manipulator, a criminal and abuser. And they not only support her, they do it so proudly while looking down on other people's sufferings and pushing the blame to HYBE or whatever group or employee. It just shows lack of sense and good character from their part. All this time, they play victim but the only mistreatment they can say is not being greeted by the chairman in the elevator once and not being greeted by another idol once cause the manager said so (can you blame the manager if these girls and MHJ always do presscons and victimise themselves?).. Imagine how ridiculous other idols from both inside and outside of HYBE will probably view their complaints. With their UA-cam live, now they really are ostracizing themselves cause people will be afraid to go near them. I am not even disappointed anymore. I just want this Newjeans-MHJ-HYBE fiasco to end. They should be responsible and fulfill their contracts, pay to terminate it.. instead of defaming everyone to force HYBE to terminate..that is so Min Hee Jin way and it sucks how they have become this influenced by her. Added: Apparently, a news article stated the group Hanni said had a manager who said to ignore them was the manager of Illit. But this actually happened in June when MHJ was still the CEO so why is Hannie implying her complaint was ignored by the new ADOR. And in the re-investigation, the CCTV showed the manager didn't say something problematic and that in fact Newjeans and Illit had exchanges. And now Illit is under attack.. Idk what to say anymore. These girls keep doing things that enable harm.

I feel like the girls in New Jeans are just acting immature. Their CEO, who was the representative of the group in Hybe, had created all these controversy and problems for them. As Korea is a very conservative place, the treatment that they are getting is natural. Non of the managers would like their groups getting involved with New Jeans right now. Although I do not accept it, they are in Korea so they have no choice but to sit it out. Going into social media and pulling out such stunts will only negatively effect them. I mean. look at BTS they have been misstreated by the korean media and a large part of the Korean public. They have never addressed it on a public platform, rather, very cleverly used their art to express themselves. See what support they have recieved in return. New Jeans' action kind of further reflects Min Hee-Jin's failure towards these youngsters. In addition, the way in which the girls are egging on their fandom (Bunnies) adds to my argument of calling them immature. They are desperately trying to appeal to the emotions of their fans to achieve their goals. Which for me, as a fan of a band for 7 years, is utter disrespectful. But then, like I said, it stems from their immaturity. I feel angry at the adults (their parents or Min Hee-Jin?) who knew they were about to take this stand but did not put some sense into them.

Exactly, the job of a parent is to raise your children to be independent and able to hold their own in society. Unless the child has a major deficit they should be able to function without their parents. So as a "mother figure" she failed them. She's really just using them to save herself and as she said in her texts when she called them fat and lazy she also said they were successful because of her and not because they work hard and unfortunately the girls also think that they can't be successful without her. Say what you want about BSH but he worked along aside BTS for a time and once they got the hang of it he had less and less credits on their songs and he pretty much went off to do his own thing. I think the thing is, if she is correct and they were groomed it doesn't really matter how old they are now, they've been in that situation since they were kids, just because you are an adult it doesn't mean you suddenly realise the people you trust are toxic. People with abusive parents can go their whole lives without ever really realising their parents are wrong and those parents are usually awful to their children. While I don't think all groups should have had to go through the struggles that BTS did.... to live in ONE HANNAM right away? What happens if New Jeans ends in a few years or breaks up. How will they continue to live that life? That is crazy. My question is... but do they realize that money for that didn't actually come from MHJ? I for one know that BSH wanted to do better by BTS but financially couldn't in the early years. So they gradually were able to stay in better places as Big Hit grew. And it was largely the income generated by BTS and the business mind of BSH that provided the funds so that current groups don't have to struggle as much. I doubt BSH objected to them having good things. But come on....... ONE HANNAM? Celebrities usually work for years to be able to afford that. And I'm sure the cost is immense. In the future they may come to find that they don't have the savings and money that other individuals in the same situation do.... but it was spent so freely too early on. They could end up broke. Most idol groups still don't last that long. What are they going to do if the ride is over in a few years..... but they haven't saved money?

I was flabbergasted at the end of the live, when NJ threatened Bang PD to get their way. It has MHJ all over it but that was such a slap on the face. Their exit plan is indeed underway. They will force the termination of their contract and probably do what TSwift has done, get all the rights to all their work and rerelease them to fund their new ventures. Bold move by MHJ. I hope that after all these, the girls will realize what was done to them and how ungrateful they have been for what was given to them. What a sad story this is.
I don't think they'll even get the rights to their songs unless they took part in the songwriting. That's why Taylor Swift was able to rerecord her songs because she has the copyright. So if they were to leave Hybe they wouldn't be able to make money off of their previous songs.

This looks like Fifty Fifty case but worse - since Hybe is conglomerate not a small company. I read somewhere - but I admit I don't know if it is true - that MHJ once stated thar other companies/labels where interested in NJ. Fifty Fifty case was clearer a "greed got their best" case, cause if ppl read between the line a company saw the potencial the group had and the chance to go big with their song as part of a Hollywood Movie OST (Barbie) and tried to steal them from their company so they could take advantage off. The girls and their parents also wanted too aim to make more money and - probably - promises to have more freedom. If you look to NJ + MHJ x HYBE case it is not so different. Just big (I just can't point out if it is just MHJ greed OR if we really have a third party involved).

I think the NJ girls are in for a rude awakening when their K-pop careers end (and I believe they will simply because it's extremely rare, especially for girl groups, to persist in K-pop. Their current attitudes will definitely not be accepted in any ordinary workplace. I honestly have mixed feelings about them because on the one hand I feel sorry for them but on the other hand they're actively digging their own graves in regard to the music industry.

I'm only few months apart from Danielle, 2 months to be precise and I can assure you that it's not a generation thing but a person thing, it really bothers me if the older generations assumes our entire gen-Z to be spoiled entitled brats just cuz of few bad apples...most of us are going to enter the workforce very soon and and know where to draw the line in a professional setting, unlike like princess syndromed people being talked about in the video offcourse

I agree with you, these girls have been groomed into this. They have been love-bombed to heck. At the same time, when you behave badly and hurt people there are consequences and you can't go on doing it just because you're young. I can sympathize, but they aren't completely blameless. They are not just supporting MHJ but joining in on her harassment. So are their parents. They have joined in on the game with their little winks and nudges, encouragements to harass others and making strategic moves. When they are not offended by their own CEO calling them names, but claim feeling mistreated because someone else's manager says "ignore them" - it's not naivety. When they see their CEO swear at her bosses and are fine with that, but feel mistreated because the chairman didn't say 'hi' - that's not ignorance. They might have been made into that sort of person and they may come back to themselves later, but right now they don't care who gets hurt as long as they get what they want. What they are doing is affecting so many people, some even minors. The priority should be to stop this and protect those people first. NJ members are not even going to try and come around until they get a dose of reality. Understanding how they turned out this way means if they come around in the future and genuinely try to make amends, they should be given a second chance. They shouldn't be incessantly bashed for it either, people should remember how they got here. But looking after their interests right now comes at the expense of others. I don't think that's right.
This is really getting on my nerves by now. Since I already made clear my perspective on this matter on a comment in another channel I just resume the main points of my opinion 1) we, as human beings can only ask for respect when we respect others AND ourselves (they are clearly not doing either) 2) If we want to be treated as adults or at least as persons with the right to decide and take Control of our lives, we need to be willing to take the consequences of our actions and also be willing to establish priorities, define the best ways to achieve goals (taking into account the possibilities given), make concessions and focus on creating solutions to obstacles (and not more problems). What we absolutely cannot do is demand that there should always and forever be someone to solve problems and decide everything for us, on the grounds that we don't trust anyone else (specially ourselves) to do it. 3)Learn to recognize and be grateful for all the blessings and privileges given (they are not your rights so you are not entitled to them) Not wanting to make any assumptions or value judgments, since everything I've heard on this subject has been in third-hand and probably very biased, take my last observation with several grains of salt and still in the spirit of learning from the experiences of others. This girls' actions strike me as a tantrum of adolescents who want to continue enjoying indulgences given to children but with all the benefits and none of the responsibilities and obligations of adulthood. As long as that's the image they convey to the outside world, they will never be taken seriously and valued.
My personal thought is that MHJreally hurt those girls. As a parent I would never let my kid enter into a contract without my knowledge of the industry. They unfortunately are hindered in their careers. BTS are 7 and are not going anywhere.

I completely agree. Some BTS members even managed to attain their Masters degree all while working at the same time. They worked hard while things were just handed to New Jeans. Three weren't newbies. One was a child performer in multiple TV shows. Another was a trainee under YG & another a long-time dancer. They didn't move to ADOR from Source until 2021. They basically are afraid that they are going to lose their "princess" status. Who do they think paid for One Hannam? Have they been kicked out since MHJ left? No. Pretty sure it will be LSM who pays the fine & we will wake up one day with the announcement that MHJ has joined his new company. It goes to character. BTS faced real hardship & they became stronger & more determined, mostly led by the hyung line. At one point during contract negotiations, Jin even said, "Screw it. Let's just trust the members and ARMY. " To be whining about needing a person to "protect" them in the company that BTS built is asking for comparison, resulting in them falling far short. The girls in NJ with entertainment experience could step up & lead the others in working toward their dream, but it seems they just want to be pampered & have their success ensured by others.

Since MHJ🧢🐍 bragged so much about them and their success I thought leaving the company that 'abuses' them(according to their believe) would be a piece of cake for them, turns out they only bring in 5% of the entire revenue, which don't get me wrong, considering hybe is a conglomerate, is itself a huge amount, but the way they're sticking it out like a leech, I sense they have some other agenda behind this, a malicious one at that.
I wish NJ parents could step back and look at this situation. At this point, if MHJ actually cared about their future she would explain that it would be in their best interest to just go. I watched their message, and to be honest, for me, it was clear that they were being monitored. It's a shame because up until they aired that video, people other than bunnies have sympathy for them. They are completely clueless as to how bad this is for their characters and career. They basically said they are the puppets and can not work without the puppet master. I know this may never happen, but all artists should take classes on contracts and how things work in the entertainment industry. If they are minors, their parents should take those classes. That's why they sign these contracts without going through them thoroughly. They are only looking to make it big with a big pay day.

She will be put to the test, will she buy out your contracts from HYBE, and back your group forward? Your talents might be better supervised and promoted under someone else. So call insults have not been against you NJ, (except wishing you would understand what has truly been happening to your group), but against MHJ.
HYBE should assign them resources and let’s see if they come to work or not. If they don’t, that is clearly a reason for HYBE to put them on indefinite hiatus, without being accused of constructive dismissal. That and the tone of their live was downright insubordination for which I think there should or could be clauses about in their contracts. I don’t want to hear that they are young. Her plan was to inflate the profit (eg. paying people off the books), exercise the put option, then tank the group and the company and take them out for peanuts. But now, Hybe holds the cards. I understand what you're saying. I do feel bad for the girls, but how much collateral damage will be done to others just to save these girls. Hybe has a lot of other artists. Some are also under age. Hybe needs to look at the whole vrs the few they are responsible for. I feel it's too late to salvage this relationship. Hybe also needs to set a precedent for the future groups that may want out of their contract for petty reasons.
I feel for them as they are all too young to understand the corporate fine print. But I can't help but feel that the person they most trusted has betrayed them and they are completely lost in this situation. I'm not even a fan of both Newjeans and Le Sserafim but what Newjeans did in that live vs what LSF did on VMAs shows me what I need to know about these girls. One is used to victimising themselves and manipulating public opinion while failing to see their own wrongs and MHJ's evils. The other fights through criticisms and shows their strength by performing. Both had the privileges of debuting with the platform, resources and networks of BTS. But how they were trained seems very different and this issue is showcasing the character they actually have. I can't help but root for the girls MHJ bullied unfairly since debut. With all the perks and privileges, their success they wouldn't have had without HYBE, Newjeans continues to support people who orchestrated harming HYBE, its labels and groups including GFriend, Le Sserafim, Illit and BTS, who they used so much for exposure. This woman in both SM and HYBE have harmed employees, even covered up sexual harassment and then demoted, verbally abused and defamed the victim. It is insane to me how Newjeans is willing to risk their career for a pathological liar and manipulator, a criminal and abuser. And they not only support her, they do it so proudly while looking down on other people's sufferings and pushing the blame to HYBE or whatever group or employee. It just shows lack of sense and good character from their part. And in the re-investigation, the CCTV showed the manager didn't say something problematic and that in fact Newjeans and Illit had exchanges. And now Illit is under attack.. Idk what to say anymore. I feel like the girls in New Jeans are just acting immature. Their CEO, who was the representative of the group in Hybe, had created all these controversy and problems for them. As Korea is a very conservative place, the treatment that they are getting is natural. Non of the managers would like their groups getting involved with New Jeans right now. Although I do not accept it, they are in Korea so they have no choice but to sit it out. Going into social media and pulling out such stunts will only negatively effect them. I mean. look at BTS they have been misstreated by the korean media and a large part of the Korean public. I think the thing is, if she is correct and they were groomed it doesn't really matter how old they are now, they've been in that situation since they were kids, just because you are an adult it doesn't mean you suddenly realise the people you trust are toxic. While I don't think all groups should have had to go through the struggles that BTS did.... to live in ONE HANNAM right away? What happens if New Jeans ends in a few years or breaks up. How will they continue to live that life? That is crazy. My question is... but do they realize that money for that didn't actually come from MHJ? I for one know that BSH wanted to do better by BTS but financially couldn't in the early years. So they gradually were able to stay in better places as Big Hit grew. And it was largely the income generated by BTS and the business mind of BSH that provided the funds so that current groups don't have to struggle as much. I doubt BSH objected to them having good things. But come on....... ONE HANNAM? Celebrities usually work for years to be able to afford that. And I'm sure the cost is immense. In the future they may come to find that they don't have the savings and money that other individuals in the same situation do.... but it was spent so freely too early on. They could end up broke. Most idol groups still don't last that long. What are they going to do if the ride is over in a few years..... but they haven't saved money?

I read somewhere - but I admit I don't know if it is true - that MHJ once stated thar other companies/labels where interested in NJ. Fifty Fifty case was clearer a "greed got their best" case, cause if ppl read between the line a company saw the potencial the group had and the chance to go big with their song as part of a Hollywood Movie OST (Barbie) and tried to steal them from their company so they could take advantage off. I think the NJ girls are in for a rude awakening when their K-pop careers end (and I believe they will simply because it's extremely rare, especially for girl groups, to persist in K-pop. Their current attitudes will definitely not be accepted in any ordinary workplace. I honestly have mixed feelings about them because on the one hand I feel sorry for them but on the other hand they're actively digging their own graves in regard to the music industry.

If Hybe does let them go it should be with a stipulation that Hybe owns the rights to their music, group name, individual stage names, etc with an option to buy them for a huge amount of money. I'm only few months apart from Danielle, 2 months to be precise and I can assure you that it's not a generation thing but a person thing, it really bothers me if the older generations assumes our entire gen-Z to be spoiled entitled brats just cuz of few bad apples...most of us are going to enter the workforce very soon and and know where to draw the line in a professional setting, unlike like princess syndromed people being talked about in the video offcourse

I agree with you, these girls have been groomed into this. They have been love-bombed to heck. At the same time, when you behave badly and hurt people there are consequences and you can't go on doing it just because you're young. I can sympathize, but they aren't completely blameless. They are not just supporting MHJ but joining in on her harassment. So are their parents.
They have joined in on the game with their little winks and nudges, encouragements to harass others and making strategic moves. When they are not offended by their own CEO calling them names, but claim feeling mistreated because someone else's manager says "ignore them" - it's not naivety. When they see their CEO swear at her bosses and are fine with that, but feel mistreated because the chairman didn't say 'hi' - that's not ignorance. They might have been made into that sort of person and they may come back to themselves later, but right now they don't care who gets hurt as long as they get what they want.
What they are doing is affecting so many people, some even minors. The priority should be to stop this and protect those people first. NJ members are not even going to try and come around until they get a dose of reality. Understanding how they turned out this way means if they come around in the future and genuinely try to make amends, they should be given a second chance. They shouldn't be incessantly bashed for it either, people should remember how they got here. But looking after their interests right now comes at the expense of others. I don't think that's right.
This is really getting on my nerves by now. Since I already made clear my perspective on this matter on a comment in another channel I just resume the main points of my opinion
1) we, as human beings can only ask for respect when we respect others AND ourselves (they are clearly not doing either)
2) If we want to be treated as adults or at least as persons with the right to decide and take Control of our lives, we need to be willing to take the consequences of our actions and also be willing to establish priorities, define the best ways to achieve goals (taking into account the possibilities given), make concessions and focus on creating solutions to obstacles (and not more problems). What we absolutely cannot do is demand that there should always and forever be someone to solve problems and decide everything for us, on the grounds that we don't trust anyone else (specially ourselves) to do it.
3)Learn to recognize and be grateful for all the blessings and privileges given (they are not your rights so you are not entitled to them)
Not wanting to make any assumptions or value judgments, since everything I've heard on this subject has been in third-hand and probably very biased, take my last observation with several grains of salt and still in the spirit of learning from the experiences of others. This girls' actions strike me as a tantrum of adolescents who want to continue enjoying indulgences given to children but with all the benefits and none of the responsibilities and obligations of adulthood. As long as that's the image they convey to the outside world, they will never be taken seriously and valued.
My personal thought is that MHJreally hurt those girls. As a parent I would never let my kid enter into a contract without my knowledge of the industry. They unfortunately are hindered in their careers. BTS are 7 and are not going anywhere.

Three weren't newbies. One was a child performer in multiple TV shows. Another was a trainee under YG & another a long-time dancer. They didn't move to ADOR from Source until 2021. They basically are afraid that they are going to lose their "princess" status. Who do they think paid for One Hannam? Have they been kicked out since MHJ left? No. Pretty sure it will be LSM who pays the fine & we will wake up one day with the announcement that MHJ has joined his new company. It goes to character. BTS faced real hardship & they became stronger & more determined, mostly led by the hyung line. At one point during contract negotiations, Jin even said, "Screw it. Let's just trust the members and ARMY. " To be whining about needing a person to "protect" them in the company that BTS built is asking for comparison, resulting in them falling far short. The girls in NJ with entertainment experience could step up & lead the others in working toward their dream, but it seems they just want to be pampered & have their success ensured by others.

I watched their message, and to be honest, for me, it was clear that they were being monitored. It's a shame because up until they aired that video, people other than bunnies have sympathy for them. HYBE should assign them resources and let’s see if they come to work or not. If they don’t, that is clearly a reason for HYBE to put them on indefinite hiatus, without being accused of constructive dismissal. That and the tone of their live was downright insubordination for which I think there should or could be clauses about in their contracts. I don’t want to hear that they are young. They are just downright rude and ungrateful and deserve to be sent to purgatory!
If my parents gave me a luxurious life that my grandparents paid for, I should be grateful to both of them. It’s easy for parents to be generous when it’s not their money.

Her plan was to inflate the profit (eg. paying people off the books), exercise the put option, then tank the group and the company and take them out for peanuts. But now, Hybe holds the cards. MHJ and SM must know the group isn't really worth $400 mil. Maybe Hybe and SM can work out a number.
With all due respect, I did see thru her since the beginning, I felt a bad vibe when PD presented her online. I even thought why in the world is he hiring her. Then when he was talking of all her experience, I thought YEAH RIGHT. She didn't convenced me, not a Bit.

I understand what you're saying. I do feel bad for the girls, but how much collateral damage will be done to others just to save these girls. Hybe has a lot of other artists. Some are also under age. Hybe needs to look at the whole vrs the few they are responsible for. I feel it's too late to salvage this relationship. Hybe also needs to set a precedent for the future groups that may want out of their contract for petty reasons.
I feel for them as they are all too young to understand the corporate fine print. But I can't help but feel that the person they most trusted has betrayed them and they are completely lost in this situation. It's similar to a toxic relationship that convinces you it's not them, it's the other party at fault. Meanwhile, their albums are selling and they have a fandom who's loyalty and trust has not broken. I also feel that at some point someone else would have had the role to supervise all the members mental health and would have caught on if their relationship with MHJ was problematic before it became this scandalous. They have made no exit plan if they are truly unhappy with the company.

They are employees not the bosses. Imagine someone in a different employment doing something like that. The person would be fired on the spot. I think this is a huge huge number one point that almost everyone especially the k-netz or Korean public keeps forgetting about (so they continue to fall for MHJ distraction tactic) while army has on their minds is MHJ not only plotted to destroy Hybe the company built by BTS but also committed several illegal crimes to steal a sub label from them by secretly meeting with investors and trying to turn major shareholders to her side to do it. As well as links to leaking insider information about the company & artists like private financial documents & medical records of trainees. She also tried to contact BTS' financial advisor to get private info from him about BTS' finances. Even links to insider trading. All these crimes that she has committed that was the reason all of this all started cuz she got caught or knew she was about to with that Audit. She has been muddying the waters ever sense so no one even remembers what the biggest issue is.
BTS who are older than NJs are still respectful to HYBE whatever issues or misundertandings they have. Maybe NJs have imbibed the attitude and character of MHJ. They need to learn from BTS!!
