Used to play this with my dad as a kid. When I say play I mean hide behind him while he plays it, lol. My dad is gone now, so this video gives me lots of feels.

Our school has this game but had no idea who installed doom, it was pretty much unnoticed until we started playing it and every uptight parent was like oh noooo 🤣 we still played it all the time even though it was against the rules 😂 not gonna lie it was an epic game !

I remember I got my first PC in 93 and this was the first game I played on it. I was so hooked

I saw loads of people crowding around a PC in a Computer shop and wondered what was going on and
it was the Quake demo done by the same team as Doom they were watching.
I was like 7-8 years old when i played this game and i remember dying a lot and scared af to the point i just stayed at a corner for an hour.
something is wrong here, from what i remember in nightmare difficulty the imps' firing is much faster and the monsters revive a lot faster
Yea the imps balls of crap used to move so fast you barely had time to avoid at distance

@@NuniGamer954 me too, played the life out of it, never completed it though, same with Duke Nukem 3d. Tbh though I always preferred Doom on PS1, the music was so much better, more scary and atmospheric, made it more like a horror game

I remember my young 17-18 year old self back when I worked at then gaming/software store called Electronic Boutique and one day during break one of the older, geeky employee setup a computer in the back and he had Doom playing. I went in the back and played for a bit, of course, and I was in total awww at how different it was. Boy, those were the days!

Hell ya. I remember when it first came out in 1993. But we couldn't play it right away since the computer we had only had 1mb of RAM when the game needed a minimum of 4mb to run. It was a demanding game and people forget that. It was a while before we got the expansion, but we still had opportunities to play it elsewhere.
The game was iconic, extremely 90s, and just impossible to forget if you played it back in the day.
I was only a kid but remember playing this like 20 years ago. amazing.

“Chocolate Doom”, for example, allows you to play Doom in its original functionality and graphics, as shown here, while at the same time being optimised to run on modern computers.

I remember growing up with my best friend who was passionate about this games and I didn't give a shit so I was watching him playing and it was fun in any case. He ended up studying informatics and he said years later it was the worst choice of his life because it took away all the fun and enjoyment in dealing with informatic itself which it was now only a boring job. It was said to hearing saying that. And as a psychologist I would like to help him but we don't speak anymore, I don't know even why. I guess life took us apart.
that is not nightmare difficulty. imp fire balls should be super fast. you are not playing original doom. but the "bfg" edition. also health packs have pills instead of cross because your unoriginal version.

I’ve never played this, but I heard I played Star Wars, dark forces a lot, and her that it was considered somebody knock off doom and a lot of the landscape and design’s almost look, identical the some of the levels in dark forces
