Playing a completely vanilla game is an awsome idea. I've been a player for about 3 years and during that time, I've build a complete driving setup. It's easy to forget what the regular game without mods even looks like. I'm happy to see so many new drivers to the game and I believe this video will help them alot. Thanks.
I’ve been playing since the SCS Hard truck 18 Wheels of Steel back in 2002. 18 Wheels of Steel Across America 2003. 18 Wheels of Steel Pedal to the Metal 2004. 18 Wheels of Steel Convoy 2005. 18 Wheels of Steel Haulin 2006. 18 Wheels of Steel Long Haul 2007. 18 Wheels of Steel Extreme Trucker 2009. Rig n Roll 2013. I remember going into the SCS files and putting in the real gear ratios and engine specs. Taking the fake crap out. It made it a lot more fun. I’ve had my CDL-A since 2006. Been around trucks and aircraft all my life. Dad was an Aircraft Mechanic, then a truck driver. I’ve driven 5spd, 6spd, 8spd, 9spd, 10spd, 13spd, 15spd and 18spd with 13spd my favorite. Always ran heavy from 80 to 100 thousand pounds. Driven trucks with all kinds of engines. Driven mostly Cat engines. PACAR my least favorite due to the heavy weight I usually pull. Smoothest truck I’ve ever driven was a Mack CH613 With a 350 and 5 speed. The truck wasn’t worth a crap pulling 80 thousand pounds but it was smooth.
I started playing ATS back in early 2019. I started out in Los Angeles. Later, I added the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. I bought garages in each state, hired drivers, customized and bought each driver a truck. I bought different trailers for each garage. I hope to get back on ATS real soon. I haven't been on ATS since early 2021.
Just got a gaming pc last weekend, started playing atc this past weekend, it’s a blast been trying to figure out how to make it all work and have more trucks and drivers
I’ve been playing ATS for about a month and man this game is clean asf. I know nothing about trucks or anything and still having a blast just doin deliveries and vibin
I got into trucking because of my cousin. I originally come from Bosnia and i have a cousin who works as a trucker. He drives an old Mercedes Benz SK truck from 1980s. It's a vintage truck which still to this day works like a charm!
Love this game, modded or not. over 1400 hours. I don't drive road trucks but I spent 10 years operating cat 793 haul trucks in the Superpit in Kalgoorlie Western Australia. About 420 tons loaded.
I’ve been playing since 2016 too. I started with ets1 and ets2 after, but once I found ats I never left. I have almost 600 hours now. Keep up the good work man
I love that you’re doing a new “Let’s Play” series! I started earlier this year, in January. I have two profiles, one is a “just for fun” fleet profile and the second one is a realistic O/O profile with the GDC economy mods. Both of which, I’m based out of Cheyenne, WY.
I started American Truck Simulator yesterday, but during my childhood i played a lot off 18 Wheels of Steel. In 2019 i switched to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and i had a blast! Now im done with Europe, time to explore the USA! Greetings from Sweden.
I've been watching your videos for a couple of weeks already, (watched pretty much every single one by now lol) bought the game and went ahead and grabbed a tobi eye tracker also, playing on a g29, it's been a blast.. but was thinking about quitting yesterday when the game updated to 1.49 and some of my mod trucks went missing 😅, including a brand new one which I've spent an hour (or more) customising and haven't even driven it yet, fortunatelly I've found pretty quickly a tutorial on how to get the game back to 1.48, now my mods work again and I'm a happy boy once again 😊 tchooo tchoo! 😂 Sad part is that I don't get to experience the new skyes and the used truck market, gonna have to wait till I start a new carreer, wich will probably be a real economy one.. Thanks for all u do for the newcomers! Cheers from 🇧🇷
Bruh.... I just started playing like the mid summer of 23...4 hrs in.... Put it down then picked it up at the start of New Year after getting a wheel....I CAN'T PUT IT DOWN..😂😂 I see why this Game Is Legendary... And you commentating is on Airplane Pilot Mode lol👍🏽 Subbed
I'm in both TruckSims since their release (ETS2 over 2100 hrs and ATS over 1300), playing vanilla as well as modded, but allways in VR. Therefor i can't do TMP, because VR is a mod itself too. The rest of my playing time goes into things like Automobilista2 (perfect in VR) and so on. Greetings from Germany (6 hrs ahead).
Shoot I’ve been playing so long I don’t remember where I started but it was only cali and Nevada or which ever states that first came out with the game. Played on keyboard and mouse haha with all the updates and new states and content, it keeps the game fresh for me.
Im an OG on my 2015 macbook pro..... but I built my first gaming pc a year ago and now have a ton of time and a long list of trucks and garages now. I believe I started when New Mexico was released
I started with ETS back in 2013 and then jumped straight into ATS, when it launched in Feb 2016. Been mostly in ETS but spent the last 6months heavily back in ATS with around 755 hrs now
Dude I'm glad I found your channel I use to watch Alot FTG VIDEOS but he hasn't posted anything in a long time like he just up n vanished but im glad theres ATS people like u keepings the game alive bc i have learned alot from ur videos. So keep up the great work...
First time i have been on your channel. Just like it here. I am from The Netherlands and i love American trucking. I'm looking forward to part two. Greets Marcel
Ive been playing this game for a long time now. Honestly the base game without mods is actually really good, i definitely play with alot of mods however its still great without
Hey man, first time I watched your channel - very enjoyable! I picked up ATS back on launch in 2016 and it was wonderful escapism during a hard time, made all the better with the rescale. Unfortunately I had to drop out of ATS for a long time as a game engine update made my game stutter massively and it became unplayable, with very ugly shimmer also. To my joy though I recently tried it again with this update and they've done something to make it a lot smoother, and combined with a frankly incredible simple TAA aliasing mod by a heroic chap called SnowyMoon I can now run max settings scaled at 100%, but with the aliasing all fixed and shimmer and jaggies largely gone. I stopped playing when Colorado came out so I'm going to have a LOT of fun catching up with what's new!
I just got my first pc 4 days ago and this is the only game I been playing completely vanilla Took out a 100k loan for a used kenworth started at the bottom of Cali somewhere worked my way up to port angles Washington and then shot over currently making my was across Idaho and then going to shoot all the way down to Texas
I think I’ve been playing since like 2016 or 2017? Started out in San Diego and still play on my original profile, took a couple year break but getting back in the swing of things, gonna get back into some modded rigs before too long but for now I’m doing some vanilla work which is nice with all the new stuff that’s been added in my absence
I've been driving for 15 yrs myself been watching your videos on ATS for a while I just purchased a steam deck so I can play this at work on my 10 I have a PS5 on the truck but nothing of this quality on console😢.
I’ve been wanting to get into this game I’m a driver in real life and was wondering how much it would cost for a basic setup gaming PC & some of the things you have
I'm aware of the cut off of the video. I was battling my editing software all week, but I have made a cool loop into Episode 2 so be on the lookout!
nice one Mike you want us to wait for the second Ep 😆

My advice is to first play and explore the base map with dlcs (if you have them), then when you are done extend it with mods.
I Started in Seattle WA, I'm from WA. I Started with the release of Idaho, I have 895hrs on the game currently. One of my favs.

Always forget how stunning the vanilla game looks. Thanks for reminding me/us!
I started playing almost 5 months ago starting with ATS and 2 months ago started ETS2, got about 500 hours combined playtime.
Really like your vids, unskipable! I would love to see some dushboard explanation or a setup tour!
Best thing to listen to truckin down the highway

Im an OG on my 2015 macbook pro..... but I built my first gaming pc a year ago and now have a ton of time and a long list of trucks and garages now. I believe I started when New Mexico was released
I love the game. I been playing for a month. I learned how to play by watching you. So thank you for your videos.

Been playing since 18 Wheels of Steel and started 3 different profiles from way up North Seattle to Cali and also in Texas
I started with ETS back in 2013 and then jumped straight into ATS, when it launched in Feb 2016. Been mostly in ETS but spent the last 6months heavily back in ATS with around 755 hrs now

Been playing for about 2 years, but can't remember what city I started in.I want to get into Trucking. That's the main reason I bought ATS.

I've been driving for 15 yrs myself been watching your videos on ATS for a while I just purchased a steam deck so I can play this at work on my 10 I have a PS5 on the truck but nothing of this quality on console😢.
How do you get things to move like the mud flaps and cb cord
I'm new to this game. I was wondering if this game is worth playing if you don't know how to use a manual shifter?
I’ve been wanting to get into this game I’m a driver in real life and was wondering how much it would cost for a basic setup gaming PC & some of the things you have
