    The 1' inch height reduction in the shift knob actually makes for a better shifting experience.. It creates a shorter throw and with the added weight it makes for a great driving experience. good vid

    OEM Lock nut should also fit inside the countersunk area of the Modaddiction shift knob. Locking it in place and allowing an increased height, if desired.

      Dennis McCool how would you suggest tightening the lock nut if it is buried in the countersink ?

      NAUS use li rite on lock nut after ensuring the spacing is correct. Then tighten the shift knob on the shifter. You can also raise the shift knob height doing this.
      It tricky if you have a shift pattern on top of shifter, as I have, but doable. Good luck.

      Dennis McCool exactly what I would suggest not to do. Never use Loctite on the shift knob.

      U totally missed the point. The oem locknut stops the new shiftknob from moving and keeps the numbers straight. You don't need locktite if your using the oem locking nut. You sold it bc user error lol 😅

    I just got myself a 280 gram titanium counter sunk shift knob. It takes more effort to shift in my opinion than the OEM leather shift knob with more mechanical height leverage. I feel more agile moving the shifter with the OEM knob as I downshift than I do with the 2inch round knob of the titanium that is sitting lower.

      Agree 100% , I only ran this knob for a short time then sold it. I’ve been using a 2012 civic Si shift knob and it’s perfect

    Was going to make a video about how changing the shift knob was my first mod on the CR. We're like brothers.

      My first mod was a Alpine deck and amp on stock mids and highs and a 12 powered Cervin Vega behind the seat. it gives just the right amount of bass and kick to the seat when the top is down. Totally recommend you look into one of the subs for yours and you can power it right of the + service terminal on the fuse box under the dash.

    Hey, a year later what are your thoughts on the moddiction knob? Looking back do you regret not getting the lighter, titanium one?

    • @NAUS2K

      Andy Cantiello hey I actually ended up selling it this summer , I couldn't stand the fact that you can't use a jam nut so every fast shift the thing would come loose . And I definitely didn't want to use threadlocker on it. I now run a OEM 12-15 civic si shift knob in my s2000 and couldn't be happier

    • @andycanti2181
      @andycanti2181 6 років тому

      Interesting. I can see how that would be annoying. I wonder if using loctite or something would help.

      @@NAUS2K you can use the factory jam nut. It works just the same, the hole in the bottom of the knob is large enough for the nut to fit inside. This video shows all kinds of nut combos...

    This question is not related but what kit is better CT or Kraftwerks?

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  7 років тому

      its all personal preference, KW will make more peak power out of the box but CT Engineering is 100x more reliabale and up-gradable if you have deep enough pockets

    • @gabrielguerrero9071
      @gabrielguerrero9071 7 років тому

      Yeah, I do see that! Honestly I would rather go with reliability because in the long wrong the repairs can add up. Last question! Where can I find a good aftercooler (like the one you have) for the CT kit.

    • @willl5250
      @willl5250 5 років тому

      CT is out of business. That alone makes KW the bettwr buy.

    There should be a nut underneath the shift knob that you hold/tighten with a wrench as you spin the shift knob on.

    • @NAUS2K
      @NAUS2K  7 років тому +3

      yes I understand that lol thats how the OEM knob came off. This one is countersunk though so you cant put a locking nut on it.

      I sold this knob because of that, the only thing you can really do is use threadlocker on it, and i didnt want to do that to my shift assembly. @@DrDaydrinker

      NAUS use teflon tape, or the weakest locktight
