I switched to the Heavy 2B recently, and I fckn *love* them. Feel great, sound great, durable af. My only criticism would be that they don't make me play like Brody.
@@meinlcymbals Good question. I feel like the guitar riffs of the band are what makes the band distinct, and the drum parts are usually overshadowed by that. I also know the drums are programmed on their new songs- honestly, this song in particular doesn't have any 'out of the ordinary' drum parts, in terms of technicality, when compared to other Meinl artists. All that to say, I never figured that their drum parts would warrant a play-through of this caliber, alongside all the other insane Meinl drummers. I say this as a huge Invent Animate fan But that just goes to show it's about highlighting the artist, not necessarily the part. Because Brody is a super skilled drummer, and even in a straight-forward song like this, you can see how good his technique, timing, and dynamics are. And also how beautiful the cymbals sound ;)
The question is…should they have had Brody or Trey do this video?? Trey doesn’t seem to want the spotlight with this band anymore even tho he’s the one recording and spending his other time with FFAK, while Brody tours with IA. Or so I’ve heard. We’re missing the massive reverb on the snare too! Either way, glad to see this band getting the recognition they deserve!
It should be Brody because he just recently officially joined the band. That is the reason Trey doesn't want the spotlight, him and Brody are great friends and has made a great transition for Brody to shine.

as an instrumental, I find that I can appreciate this song and genuinely enjoy it without marcus’ vocals. The only issue I have with this song is the lack of creativity during the breakdown. great drumming
