I like the Relaxed rules on foot wear in the workshop. It would be interesting is the work place inspections turned up to there work shop. As it’s on camera Tyler
if its a day where the shop is closed and they open for a mate then they dont need to do shit
Was thinking the same thing…. He would know about it if the bull bar fell on his toes.
Best part about running your own business is you make the rules.
@@gasnxt6805 and regardless of day, open or closed, insurance will wipe their hands in a heartbeat.
Another great video showing actual work being done, top stuff! This is what people like to see & there’s a line between getting it right & leaving out too much for ease of editing. You’ve got the formula right and are in touch with what appeals to people. Watching auto electricians apply their trade is gold class. The bar fitment was really good too. I liked it that you also showed the mistakes made which are human nature & part of the process. If you get enough work done on your car by places similar mistakes occur. Just how it is.
Thanks just got both of these delivered and perfect video for me installing my raslarr bar and 11xp Tommorow
Thanks for the content.
Your channel has inspired me to get out and film my first pretty basic video for my channel.
Keep up your top notch work and quality
Same here mate he got me off my bum and filming!
Great bar mate. It's awesome seeing you get hands on with the accessories. It's the best way to learn about it👍
Thanks 👍
Again, nice explanation of how the front bar went on etc.. love this Patrol, great looking bar👍👍
Looking forward to getting my Xrox bar and winch for my 4rby. Happy Easter !!!
Thanks 👍
Lol, that auto sparky would have heart failure under my bonnet 😂
I second that hahaha
Wow, someone has been spending up!
Top vid mate,it's good to see the build coming together. Thanks😎
Cheers mate
Runva work well maybe better than low mount Warn which for us always let water in. Bar looks good too and hid s lights are amazing. Nice work!
Dude the camera quality looks insane
wow, lightforce, a blast from the past. i ran them on my 3 4bys at the time n where really gud. not all that long ago they where pretty much on every truck, 4by n car n now rare as hens teeth on a vehicle. always where gud lights from the xenophot to the HID beam. they where the driving light leaders at the time. hopefully they r as gud as they where. interesting to get ur thoughts on the lights. the RFI signal booster is very gud. i used them on the 3 4bys through the QLD outback for work purposes which was very helpful.
Just got back from trip to WA goldfields with the phone booster. Works really well, in places where I had patchy 1 bar 3G the booster gave me 4 bars 3G and sometimes even 4G. The trick is to turn on your phone app when looking for a camping spot to make sure you have good reception before you park up.
What make and model are you using mate?

@@jamesmcmillan2656 thanks mate 👍
That bull bar looks as tough as they come . It looks great on the Patrol . Mate driving on a dead straight country and outback roads on a dark night Semi Trailers will be flashing their spotlights letting you know that you should turn them off from a kilometre or more away lol .
😆
Love to see the build progress, behind the scenes on the patrol 🤤
Looks wicked mate you must be well happy with that 👍🏴
I am!
Hey man I mounted a celfi on the dash bar just about the glove box with the button accessible threw the glove box hole in the top was the best spot for it
Awesome bull bar, so much choice in Australia. Electrical work was very clean. Be interesting to your impressions once used. Happy Easter.
Thanks mate
Great Work mate 👍
Thanks ✌️
Great video 👍
Bullbar is so cool looking 😀😀😀
Love your numberplates 👌👌👍👍 love the bar btw
I doubt many get that it’s Tyler Thompson, not twin turbo..... they gonna be puzzled at the lights.
Awesome channel with great content. One thing you can do with the patrol dash is to have a second glove box behind the dash pannel where some patrols have a passenger airbag. Good little mod for mounting accessories and relays up nice and high in the dash.
Yeah mine has an airbag there mate
Thanks for the pricing and gear codes.
On ya mate. Good choices.
DAMMNNN Looks mint brother!!
cheers mate!
Sick bar
cheers mate!
What head torch is Josh wearing?
Great content 👌
Demi will enjoy her new mods
Looking Good Tyler.👍 Some quality gear there.👌 I didn't realise you can still get HID aftermarket driving lights now that LED is so common. Aren't those HID lights heavier that their equivalent LEDs? As for the UHF mic/head placement, I would have mounted that on the same spot but on the opposite side (ie. passenger side). 'Coz after a while, the coiled cord will start annoying me when it rubs on my leg during 4WDing on the rougher tracks.
It seems Runva winches are the flavour of the year right now. I'll be in the market for a winch soon. I was just going to get the Domin8r Xtreme as it seems to get favourable reviews (I know there are many brand snobs out there, but to me if it works, and provides value for money, I'll consider it), and I won't be doing any hardcore 4WDing. But since last year, everyone seems to be raving about the Runva. So I hope you provide a long term review on this winch in a few months time to know how they perform and if their quality stacks up to the hype. 👍
Runva is good, i have one on the current rig. But Carbon is imho better, it's a lot lighter, better water ingress protection and better warranty.
Nice socks!
To build an ultimate off-road weapon you must first start with the number plate.
Just scored ‘TURBODSL’ for me hundred series mate - power upgrades and suspension next 😀
Hey Tyler, nice video. What brand of battery terminals did you install? They look great and I’d love to do the same on my vehicle!
Also, when I installed my runva I ran an extension cable from the control box to inside of the vehicle in case the wireless remote fails while using it inside the car so I can quickly swap over to the hard wired remote.
With The additional weight now on the front is the recent upgraded suspension still within limits for this? Also does the front need to be aligned again to correct camber?
No change to the front, I got the correct weight suspension knowing I was getting this bullbar/winch etc
yeww! Go the Patrol! been waiting for this episode for ages !
I wonder if this episode would explain why the last few days I seen about 10+ patrol bullbars being sold on fb market place haha
I thought the winch control box remote was a UHF 477xmhz frequency ?? not Bluetooth . but that's okay ..
it really is a big transformation in the looks between the two bars !!
good explaing the ADR approved over a comp bar
hopefully your mains battery has a high CCA to drive the winch also..
Josh sounds so much like Robert "bobby knuckles" Whittaker 😂
20 years old and still outperforms everything on the market with a few boltons. Loving the patrol vids
Thanks mate
Did you fuse the winch?
Would love to know where you got the battery terminals from,I can not find that type anywhere. Ive been trying to find a decent bar for my GU and mate I love that raslarr so i am copying you sorry.
Have you got passenger airbag ? If not could put cel fi in that spot
Yeah it has passenger airbag
I wouldn't mount that isolator switch on the engine. Too much vibration through the bracket. Try and put it somewhere else firm, not on the engine where it moves
Any reason you went Rinva over Carbon winch?
I thought you might of gone for a high mount Warn winch?
Runva and carbon were the two most recommended but Runva slightly more recommended so just went with that one. Didn't really think I needed a high mount
Love your videos tyler great looking crew and an unreal beard on you how do you keep it trimmed and clean?
Do you use beard oils?
And are you circumcised?
Thanks your biggest fan noey ❤️
Are you circumcised 😂😂
That’s a hell of a question to ask. 🤣

This build is making me want to get back into a patrol... should of kept mine dam it 😒
haha, its coming along nicely!
Engine mods one day?
cake the winch terminals in dielectric grease they will corrode otherwise
Looking shmicko 👌
Cheers mate
what did you do with the old lights
Just gave them away
Good to see G Works are complying with Australian safety standards, having a guy working in their workshop with no shoes on
What about the beadlock wheels what happened can't believe you had no idea very strange
Love your channel mate. I know editing takes time, but your uploading this quiet a few videos too late.
usually unfortunately I can't get all the mods on at the same time so it takes a bit to put it all together
@@TylerThompson90 all good mate. I understand. Love your videos either way. Cheers
Run and carbon are literally the same winch.
Good vid, car lookin pretty cool... but $1300 for driving lights.... Yeah...... Bit to much..... Keep goin...... 😀
depends, some of the new spotties you can get probably beat the sun in brightness
Put the engine cover back on man
Keeps the temps down a bit having it off
@@TylerThompson90 nah it doesn't man, the engine fan actually blows under it a bit and helps cool the coil packs
Yeah okay few people told me different from testing it out but Ill look into it!
@@TylerThompson90 bolt it back on and get someone to rev it, put your hand up behind the cover near the firewall and have a feel, you will feel airflow.
Coils have issues with heat in these and you will go though a couple, MACE Industries have a set for like $190. Good quality and much cheaper than genuine.
Do not buy coils,MAF,O2 sensors off eBay, they are unreliable or sometimes completely out of spec for the car and can cause issues.
I dealt with 4.8s for years, I have Nissan data scan 2 on a laptop and can advance ignition timing 2 or 3 degrees in the ecu for a little more power and efficiency.
Throttle body issues arise fairly often too with the autos, but it can be as simple as one of the relays on the passenger side in the engine bay. Also, the O2 sensor plugs are the same, and can be plugged in wrong, so the banks are switched which will make it run poorly and feel like an intermittent missfire, just be aware of that
Old mate gonna lose his toes or foot one day
'Looks bloody beautiful' lol. Mate its a Patrol. You can't polish a turd hehe. Nah, it looks good bruz.
The old Airbag legal crap, need to be at minimum speed and have enough decelartation G's. No sensor up front and factory chassis will punch chassis rails through things they hit.
Lights, simple rules regardless of opinions: LED is for close to medium distance ONLY. HID (needs to be propper HID lamp ratings, many are fake wattages) is for focussed medium to long distances. LED simply does not focus well enough to run long distances. FFS, idiots who build bars with antenna mounts too close together then fuels muppets who install antennas without a clue why you DON'T DO IT!. They need to be spread out and 1/4 wave of lowest freq in use away from other antennas. Cel-Fi units are geat and legal, sadly, network operators are now limiting bandwidth on Band 28 (700MHz) to point where good for calls only, getting crap for data. Now the likes of Telstra who are still rolling out old 3G which is calling only kills data.
Sorry Tyler, I hate those bars, only saw one yesterday on a Ranger I walked passed and thought yuck, not for me.
each to their own mate 😄
