When I was a kid, I would draw all the characters from Warrior cats into ponies (with their cutie marks, what species they would be etc) and I would cut the drawing to use it as a figurine and then, I would re read the book from Into the Wild to the last one, while moving the piece of papers like they were toys acting during the story. And each time a character was growing up, I would keep his old design away and make him a new one.
I would also make for each generation/cycle a new set of main 6 who would develop different powers depending on which set it was. The main 6 of the cycle 1 was FireStar, Graystripe, Sandstorm, Ravenpaw, Cinderpelt and Cloudtail. Of course, those from cycle 2 were the six ones who traveled to get Midnight XD

8:25 when me and my bestie had a warriors phase in middle school we actually made a roleplay based on cats living in abandoned buildings in chernobyl, so, i guess we partly fulfilled it, no castles though
Help when i was a kid i wrote down a warrior cats fanfic that literally turned cartoon network characters into warrior cats and it delved into deep lore with portals to other dimensions and stuff

No joke, i had a warrior cat rip-off story where the ''subway clan'' thing was real. Well, it was another restaurant called A&W, but still. They lived in the abandoned restaurant and ate burgers and stuff. 💀💀

This reminds me of my unwritten Avatar as Warrior Cats AU, especially the whole comment about FlutterPelt being a vegan cat reminded me of how I characterized Lightpaw/feather.
The way I tried to resolve it was that he had a deep respect for prey animals that goes beyond anything in the warrior code; he feels awful and hesitant toward killing for eating let alone killing the corrupt leader of Thunderclan. Part of this is he befriended a prey animal he named Momo which I’m thinking would be a flying squirrel.
His other non-cat friend, Appa, is an eagle, something that could easily have killed him, but he was so sweet as an apprentice that when he was taken as food by Appa’s mom, Lightpaw charmed Appa to the point the eagle chick protected Lightpaw from being eaten and they ran away together. They tried to go back to Windclan, and he was given his warrior name despite not being an apprentice for very long, but not everyone was cool with Appa so they went off again in search of a new home.
They landed in Riverclan, who, due to their warriors providing reinforcements to another clan, was composed of only queens, elders, and kits on the cusp of being old enough to apprentice. The medicine cat Wellheart and her warrior brother Wolftail befriend the loner and his posse of predator and prey after they find him in the ashy tunnel that is just outside of camp that Wellheart regularly gets her herbs from because surprisingly the ash helps the plants grow better.
There’s a prophecy Wellheart gets from Starclan about light at the end of a tunnel of ashes and they go to Iceclan to train Wellpaw and complete her training (she takes on the paw suffix but takes up her warrior name when she’s finished). They go through Lawnclan (mix of kittypets and various subgroups all across some suburbs that Bearstar (the Earth king) claimed as his own) and pick up a blind kittypet named Lotus who renamed herself Badgertuft. They get chased by an ex-Thunderclan rogue named Burntface (his name was given as a punishment for demanding to take the place of a kit being made into a warrior too young) and his mentor Westdragon. This is basically it, but of course I could go on about Kindlewit and her posse once Northstar finds out a young Windclan warrior survived the storm and ensuing fire they had taken advantage of to nearly wipeout Windclan (that in early Warriors was notably small) so it works. Also it’s kinda fun that Thunderclan is the Fire Nation in this because in WC, TC has a habit of making decisions that effect all the clans and butt into other clans’ business.
If anyone wants to make anything with this, feel free, but thank you Bliximi AND Alphias for the inspiration to write this all out.
(Also, I took out the names I put next to the first instance of a cat name so you can feel smart for telling from context)

Honestly I really wanna draw my own Warriors!AU of mlpfim now. The clans could be the pony races or smth. Celestia is a StarClan cat who gives Twilight a prophecy about uniting the clans in harmony. Twilight’s like “yeah I’ll do my duty, but I’m not happy about it,” but as they work together she comes to trust and rely on her companions. And when all is said and done the three clans are an actual community rather than separate communities that tentatively tolerate each other.

Hamstar stood atop of the counter that stored the sub ingredients as he yowled, “All cats old enough to eat a ham sub, gather beneath the Preycounter for a clan meeting. Soon all of SubwayClan had gathered beneath the Preycounter to hear what the leader had to say.
“Today we will launch an attack on BurgerKingClan. As many of you know,” he meowed, “At last night’s Gathering, BurgerKingClan claimed that their sandwiches were better than our subs.”
The clan let out a collective gasp. Turkeytail felt rage and offense rush through her pelt. SubwayClan’s subs are way better quality!
“I will bring Provoloneheart, Baconjaw, Chocolatecookie, Turkytail, Cheddarclaw, and I will go to Burger King and order chicken fries as a cover up for the attack.
Burger King had a lack of employees so this would be easy. As they reached BurgerKingClan’s camp, Wopperdawn, a BurgerKingClan warrior, ran towards them.
“Thank you for choosing Burger King, what would you like to order?” She meowed
“A six piece chicken fry.” Hamstar replied.
“Is that all for today?”
Hamstar then looked back at them as though asking if we wanted anything else, but when no one spoke up, “Ye-“
“Wait, can I get a water please!” Turkeytail meowd. Then she felt a wave of embarrassment rush over her.
“Ok, that will be $9.69.” Wopperdawn said, “Would you like to eat inside?”
“Ya!” Chocolatecookie responded.
When they got inside BurgerKingClan’s camp they found a nice spot to eat their fries. But when the SubwayClan cats finished Hamstar yelled, “Attack!”
Then the camp burst into screeching. Cats fought everywhere. Turkeytail fought SweetNsour, while Bakenjaw fought Wopperdawn.
The Warriors-in-the-future thing you were spit-balling about where the humans are gone is pretty much how Guardians of Ga'Hoole works, the owls live mostly in the trees and deserts but some of them live in the wreckage of old castles and churches. It's done really well

It involves Otterleap, a ThunderClan warrior, being chosen to lead the lost clan SeaClan to its former glory (basically another SkyClan situation).
