Depends what the assessed tax value of the farm is. Noting that if the farm has remained in the family since initial settlement, there is no actual sale price to base taxation on. A really bad approach is to assess the value as an arbitrary multiple of the farm dept.

Doesn’t bear thinking about. Like Bernie says, it’s going to need massive voter turnout, probably on an even larger scale than the mid terms to counter GOP voter suppression. superschmolz I think it’ll be ok. While in practice the GOP has no qualms about undermining the constitution, they and their supporters convince themselves they are the true defenders & supporters of it. It’s hypocritical but even their twisted world view would be messed up by something as blatant as that. The cognitive dissonance would be too much, even Kelly Ann Conway couldn’t spin an obvious collapse into dictatorship & I can’t see the SC, Congress, intelligence community or Pentagon going along with it. Also this impeachment is ultimately going to knock quite a bit of faith in Trump out of his supporters. They might let him shoot someone on 5th Avenue but I don’t think they’re quite ready to abandon their “constitutional republic” just yet.

Alex Thelander ...who were treated illegally.
Alex Thelander aside from the fact that seeking political asylum in the 🇺🇸 is an entirely legal process, what’s being done to them is a far more terrible, grotesque crime against humanity then the crime they are accused of, no? Which until Trump’s zero tolerance policy towards humans, was regarded as merely a civil infraction, misdemeanour at worst.
