Hey there, Carnivore can absolutely do that but you have to make sure you are not under eating. As long as you're eating plenty that should give just enough insulin bump to help with your thyroid. Have you had your iodine levels tested?
@@rfolea2me too, 51 yr old female, my TPO is down 70% to 187 ui/ml, but my thyroglobin antibodies is up 23% to 787.... @CoryHobbs2178 I have. When taking an iodine supplement, my iodine was way high. On no supplement now and my 24hr urine iodine test has me smack dab in the middle of the optimal range.
I started Carnivore six years ago to gain better health and to lose weight as I was Class 2 obese... near morbid obesity.... So, I was not able to keep to more than about 95% Carnivore over these past six years. Now, finally have two weeks into 100% carnivore again. I did not lose one pound after eliminating sugar, grains, nuts, seeds, all vegetables and all fruits and dairy... Nope not one pound did I lose... On 100% carnivore I still do not lose anything. I did eliminate about 100 skin tags, I eliminated a lifetime of bleeding gums, I lost a huge growth on my leg that I had for 40 years, age spots faded, skin eruptions completely eliminated, as long as I kept away from dairy depression was much less. Also no more bloating or gas. I just am not able to lose one pound. Even after six years it is very challenging to avoid all carbs, but I am doing it! Not losing and being near morbidly obese even giving up so much, is very depressing. I have kept a food diary of every teaspoon of food I have eaten for about 15 years now... I only lose weight if I do an extended water-only fast but that seems to be beyond my strengths in the past couple of years. I eat mostly beef, & lamb, and a limited amount of chicken, bacon, pork, or seafoods. I do not do well with eggs, cheese or other dairy, so I limit those to very little. I am 79 years old.
Are you physically active at all? Btw, I think you’re doing great eliminating non-nutrient-dense foods from your diet and lifestyle 💪🏽 You’re 79 🎉 - living life unlike so many others. Thats a wonderful feeling in itself 🤗🤗

I am pretty fit and athletic person, after having C0v1d in 2020 my health went down the drain. I couldn't breathe as normal, my endurance went down for about 70% so subsequently my workouts suffered as well. Also in this period i started to have gruesome wrist and back pains, hips problems, knees and ankles. I just pushed 4 years feeling like shit convincing myself that "TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER" story, but tomorrow never came...untill a month ago I saw a video on UA-cam about carnivore and I just went all in. No more pain, my lungs are better, my sinuses are no longer congested, my workouts are starting to be better and better, I have no longer problems with blood in my stool, no longer stomachaches, literally no bloating.I went from 90kgs down to 80kgs in about 24 days(without even tryingto lose weight). Oh yeah, I eat about 2-2.5kgs of beef a day plus 5 to 10 egss. This is frickinnnn awesome. LET'S GO!!
Tried carnivore for 2 months but became a wreck mentally regarding the restriction. I've given myself permission to go keto 50gms. Most days I can do 20gms but the pressure is off. Much more relaxed. It takes time to work things out. I got the app carb manager that helped. Took the guess work out.
WOW!! I have been looking for this type of advice for years.. I'm so very happy that i found you yesterday 💕 💛. I've already watched some of your videos late last night. Thank you, thank you, thank you for caring 💗 ❤ from Texas
Hi Judy, I have followed many influencers in the carnivore community and I like most of them and their contents. However, you have this really down to earth and practical side in your way of explaining things that I really appreciate. As a mom of a soon 6 year old, I’m trying to provide my son a healthy way of eating but the temptation a great in our world. Food provided by the school, the peers even the families are very confusing for him. I really hope you can make an episode that talks about your own experiences as a mom of three and how you help your children to form a healthy eating habits. Many thanks!
This was an excellent video, one of the best I've seen recently in terms of helping people fit this way of eating into their life. I'm more keto than carnivore, but your comments around stress really resonated with me. Thank you.
Bless you Judy❤❣️ It took me years to relax with this lifestyle. 5 years! This past year I did experience calm & the ease of trusting all is well even if meals out have less than perfect WOE Your advice is refreshing !!
Thank you for sharing that. This is comforting to hear. I’m only 60 days in but I can’t get anything done. I’m utterly drained. Zero energy. Four days ago I started to add one serving of fruit back in each day and I’m hoping that might help relieve my issues with debilitating muscle tension. I didn’t want to have to do that but I’m not coping well at all. I can’t get anything done. I’m patient but I know I also have to be able to function. Your comment gives me hope I will get there eventually.
@@benicio1967 same for me. Probably because I was so malnourished at 100+ overweight but a lifetime of stress, vegetables and not enough protein & fat. We thought arthritis was hereditary but probably everyone with it in the family just ate the same: low sugar, no fat, no meat, just carbs, fruit & veg
Staying strictly with meat (primarily beef), eggs and (if you can handle it) dairy, is very easy if you prioritize your long term healthy and vitality over your short term sensory pleasure. Kick the habit of the short term view in favor of the long term plan and things get both easier and better. If it doesn't add to your nutrition, don't add it back in. Given that many detrimental effects take years (sometimes many) to manifest, why consume things based on the fact that there is a no negative effect in a day or two, if not more quickly? You have to think long term, not short term.
I'm writing down everything I healed on this way of eating. I'm also going to start saying I choose to eat this way. I have to work on sugar addiction. What an awesome talk Judy! Thank you!
Thank you. I like cheese everyday even though I must take "dairy relief' tablets, sometimes I have tummy issues but I so love it. Want to stay on carnivore for life!. Cheers
I’m willing to go very strict if it increases the chances of healing. Definitely need to get dental work done so I can chew food properly. Bought salmon a few days ago and cooked it in a cast iron skillet with butter and it was delicious. I’m a Pilot Vehicle Operator and steer the trailers behind the trucks carrying the wind turbine blades. I work and live in my van and have it set up with a Dometic refrigerator and a microwave as well as a toaster oven and electric burner. It’s pretty easy for me to find a grocery store often enough to get more salmon regularly and since I love it I’ll have it several times a week.
Yes, it's hard sometimes to figure out what works and what doesn't. Tried calorie counting, didn't for losing my menopausal weight. Plus I was still eating carbs. I'm sure that was why. Carbs makes me hungry an hour later. Been keto for 3months and it's working for me. Weight loss, more energy & clarity. Less stress & feeling super. I'm in control of my health.
Enjoyed your video with the exception of the word DIET. Made me wince every time it was said. It's MUCH easier to consider this a WAY OF EATING, not a diet. Appreciate what was shared.
Thank you for these tips. I am struggling with losing more weight. Been stalled for two years. Truly think it's low thyroid. Now if I could get my doctor to believe.
So sensible! Thanks for the sanity. I switch back and forth, keto to carnivore, and both seem to work for me. So true about orthorexia in the UA-cam world.
Thank you Judy! Great video! Lots of great tips…. I’m 3+ years in Carnivore and your work and interviews have been very helpful! Have you studied the work of Morley Robbins? I’d love for you to do an interview with him?
I have 3 men that like variety....Chris Cooking Nashville has so many recipes that are carnivore that add variety...carnivore pancakes, carnivore chicken fried steak, carnivore meatloaf. (We roll it with pepperoni in the middle!)..then Ketogenic woman has carnivore noodles...All still healing...so variety makes it easy to stay carnivore.
Just found your chanel. And love it. Ive been low carb for yrs but I have to step it up to Carnivore. Want to address my high blood pressure, keep my weight down, and cortisol levels, and sleep apnea. Ive been having some carbs like Kimchi and sourdough bread here and there, but I want to go full carnivore. I feel my best eating red meat and eggs. I quit dairy in May instill dring decaf.
Eating out; call ahead to the restaurant & ask them how they cook their food. If it’s a seed oil let them know you have reactions to seed oils if they could cook their food in tallow, or its own grease or real butter.
La dieta carnivora me salvo la vida, se que mucha gente se puede beneficiar de este modo de alimentación. Estoy convencido que los humanos somos predominante carnivoros.
Hi, Judy, I have one question needed to confirm with you: just a day ago I watched Dr Boz video mentioning about the presence of maltodextrin in the lmnt packets which haven’t been mentioned in the list of ingredients on the pack which got me little scared of using this. It’s true about LMNT? So scary!
So far I do not miss other foods at all, these are all my favorite foods, if id have known I could eat just eggs and meat and be healthy i would have started decades ago.
Hello Judy, I have been eating meat for 33 weeks. In addition to normal meat, all three meals are supplemented with butter. Before eating meat, I was on a low-carb diet. When eating meat, I started to get rashes on my body and it was very itchy at night. Three days ago, I took a kiwi fruit supplement a day and felt much better. Have you ever encountered a patient in this situation? thank you!
Third attempt on the Carnivore diet. I’m on day 60. I feel really good as long as I’m lying down. That’s no joke. I’ve been trapped on a couch for 2 months. The second I stand up my body says oh No!!! I can’t stand for more than 10 minutes without very hard heavy pounding heartbeat breathlessness and extreme muscle tension that is unbearable. I use Redmond’s, Nu-Salt (for potassium) and I take magnesium. My energy and stamina are non existent and I can’t get rid of this debilitating muscle tension. Why is this happening? I began adding one serving of fruit back in four days ago; out of desperation, in an attempt to get rid of the muscle tension and it has only provided a very slight improvement. I don’t know why I’m not losing any weight or how to stop the muscle tightness or get my energy and stamina back. Any suggestions or insight would be so appreciated. I was relieved to see one other person say she’d been on carnivore for 3 months and literally can not get out of bed. It was truly comforting to know I’m not just imagining things. I was told to add more salt but it didn’t provide any improvements, unfortunately.
I’m not sure if you are here just to scare people so they won’t try carnivore, I look on your profile and you only have cats and dogs in there, so you might be a vegan. Very suspicious that you’re so hill that you would stay on it and not go see a doctor, it doesn’t make sense at all.
Start eating a variety of foods, not just meat. Perhaps you have vitamin C deficiency, or you have consumed way too much vitamin A. Just eat like normal person. And if doesn't help, go to a doctor, who is not on the internet.
I have been carnivore 11 months I have not cheated. I have recently added some olives.. I have tried, and hoped that I would omit my many many immune deficiencies. So far my stomach issues are gone. I was hoping for my neuropathy in my feet and also, restless leg syndrome, insomnia would be better, but they are not. Did not have any type of sugar or caffeine, but I do have my coffee with heavy cream, 3 cups a day max decaffeinated. I hate giving that up thinking to do the lions diet that’s so strict for me anyway not gonna change anything I’m still gonna stay carnivore I love it
Look up oxalate and if you’re eating anything with high oxalate, then that may be causing you a problem. It was a major factor for me and meat does not have that nor does the salt or the butter. Good luck.
Truth is carnivore diet is a lifestyle and tool to help, but sometimes especially with mental health, evaluate what you are still struggling with, stress and weight can contribute. My sleep apnea improved, my anxiety and depression improved but I had to lose 30 pounds before I started to see results. Everyone is different bit it looks like healing is still happening
I've had restless leg and tingling in my extremities. My Chiropractor and Dr Berg recommends the fat soluble version of b1, benfotiamine. I also have regular spinal adjustments. These have helped quite a bit (in addition to carnivore) Remember coffee has the anti nutrient tannins, so like all anti nutrients can inhibit nutrient uptake
@@angieobes9835 yeah I already use that. I’m like a walking UA-cam video I love Dr. Berg, and all the others and I follow them right to the t. I had oxalate dumping when I first started carnivore was pretty bad I don’t eat any food with oxalate as I am carnivore but I did have a few olives here and there is I love them. It didn’t seem to bother my stomach but otherwise, I am caffeine, free sugar, free for 11 months now.
@@donnapope2058 well, I went through oxalate dumping in the first two months of carnivore. I have been sugar free three years, maybe more. No caffeine. I am sure there are no oxalates in my body right now from food. A few olives will not cause high oxalate. I actually am a U tube walking video, I am constantly educating myself continually. I am pretty close to 100% carnivore 11 months now I feel great but it has not dissolve my auto immune issues only my stomach issues so I’m hoping.
Hi Judy! love your channel but, I don't agree with the your recommendation for water consumption. The more you drink, the more electrolytes you flush out. Many native people barely drink any, and when you are truly fat adapted you will make your own metabolic water. I drink no water during the day and I only get thirsty after my Omad in the evening, and will drink 1-3 glasses of water with some added salt, then I'm good for the next 22-23 hours. I do not cramp up anymore, unlike when I first started carnivore when it was awful. I did the standard recommendation of drinking more water and adding electrolytes, which I tried numerous brands differing amounts etc etc for over a year. Nothing helped till I cut waaaay back on my water intake with some added Redmonds salt.
@@maryspearman9441that is his point-he disagrees with the recommended amount. He drinks much less than the daily recommended amounts. So he, in effect, is in agreement overall by finding what works for him.
Judy i watched your videos with Dr. Brownstein and I remember his saying that he has a hard time getting fluoride out of the body of his patients, can you research Tamarind and fluoride excretion and pass it on to Dr. Brownstein if he doesn't already know about it. It apparently helps to detox it out a lot better.
I feel the same. I even eat when I'm not hungry sometimes just to get enough calories. I'm 8 months into carnivore. I've had many things improve, but I'm praying my energy level and libido improve soon.
Judy. Can you look up pastor Dennis he does blood glucose test. Have him on. He made a muffin in cup receipe that actually lowered his blood glucose 1-2 hours in by 20 points. What is causing this? I would think stable glucose readings but a drop. I would make this muffin for hamburger bun or egg sandwich. Have Dennis on and like to understand why the drop as that's huge.
why does cronometer say a 16 oz steak has 120 grams of protein, if what you say is right that it has 80 grams then I am undereating, how can we really know how much protein is in a piece of meat, I try to hit a certain number of calories and grams of fat and protein. great video thanks

Oh yeah, I eat about 2-2.5kgs of beef a day plus 5 to 10 egss. This is frickinnnn awesome. LET'S GO!!
Congratulations.
What a great video!!! One of the best I’ve heard lately. Thank you Judy. You are so reasonable
I'm currently considering carnivore. Excellent advice, thank you
Tried carnivore for 2 months but became a wreck mentally regarding the restriction. I've given myself permission to go keto 50gms. Most days I can do 20gms but the pressure is off. Much more relaxed. It takes time to work things out. I got the app carb manager that helped. Took the guess work out.
My Dr kinda scolded me last week due to my LDL (bad cholesterol) being elevated. I'm Keto as well, and as you, keep the net carbs below 50 per-day.
You are improving gradually.. good on you.
You are a "common sense" young lady. This helps us all. Great advice.
WOW!! I have been looking for this type of advice for years.. I'm so very happy that i found you yesterday 💕 💛. I've already watched some of your videos late last night. Thank you, thank you, thank you for caring 💗 ❤ from Texas
Excellent video! Worth listening to several times.
So glad I found your channel ! On 2 weeks of the carnivore diet
Thank you.
Bless you Judy❤❣️
It took me years to relax with this lifestyle. 5 years! This past year I did experience calm & the ease of trusting all is well even if meals out have less than perfect WOE
Your advice is refreshing !!
It took me about 3 months to get my energy back
@@benicio1967 same for me. Probably because I was so malnourished at 100+ overweight but a lifetime of stress, vegetables and not enough protein & fat. We thought arthritis was hereditary but probably everyone with it in the family just ate the same: low sugar, no fat, no meat, just carbs, fruit & veg
It's so great to hear such a balanced and wise perspective. Thank you, Judy!
This was a wonderful conversation!! ❤️
Super great tips, Dr. Cho. Right on! ❤
Thank you Judy i always love to listen to you.
Thank you! My addiction is sugar severe health issues because of very unhealthy food choices.
I'm writing down everything I healed on this way of eating. I'm also going to start saying I choose to eat this way. I have to work on sugar addiction. What an awesome talk Judy! Thank you!
Really appreciate this realistic approach which can make maintaining this lifestyle possible. Thank you! 😊
Beautiful message - give yourself some grace. Thank you ♥️🙏
Thank you. I like cheese everyday even though I must take "dairy relief' tablets, sometimes I have tummy issues but I so love it. Want to stay on carnivore for life!. Cheers
I eat the cheese even though I feel a little nausea but I'm okay with that! LOL
Addiction is a bitch.
Thank you so much ❤😊
I’m willing to go very strict if it increases the chances of healing.
Thank you for this, this was very good ❤
Great advice. I've been struggling a lot lately.
The conversation makes sense to me 💙💙
Thanks. I needed this today.
Ah, so great to hear. Slow and steady wins the race. ❤
Just plain EXCELLENT. Wisdom from experience. Thank you.
Thanks!
Glad I found you I really enjoyed this thank you 🙏🏼 33:36
Great content Judy. Thanks 😊❤
Very good advice. Finding ways to adopt your healthy lifestyle and keep living.
Great video! Love this
Thank you great video wish I saw this 7 years ago
lol, me too.
Enjoyed your video with the exception of the word DIET. Made me wince every time it was said. It's MUCH easier to consider this a WAY OF EATING, not a diet. Appreciate what was shared.
Thank you, Judy .. you are amazing ❤ blessings from Johannesburg South Africa 🇿🇦
Awesome ideas Judy! Thank you!
Day 7 🎉 although I was feeling a bit weak today I made it through with coffee and heavy cream to supper
This was excellent! Thank you. 😊
Love your balance Judy
Thank you for these tips. I am struggling with losing more weight. Been stalled for two years. Truly think it's low thyroid. Now if I could get my doctor to believe.
I would take iodine. You may want to watch Nisha Berry on UA-cam. She had a severe thyroid problems and takes iodine. Good Luck!
@Linda-ic1il already taking 5 drops of iodine in a.m. It has helped.
@@Linda-ic1ilYou should not supplement on iodine, unless a doctor tells you to.
So sensible! Thanks for the sanity. I switch back and forth, keto to carnivore, and both seem to work for me. So true about orthorexia in the UA-cam world.
Excellent advice, practical, and realistic! I am 13 days in without any cheating and this information is very helpful!
This video is so helpful! The best video I’ve seen all week. Thank you for all the tips!
Great video Judy! Very helpful
This is such a wonderful and needed video 🙌 thank you, Judy ❤❤❤
Comprehensive and informative, appreciate the review of the finer points!
Another AWESOME video, thank you Judy!!!!❤❤❤
This is wonderful tips that can make all the difference. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Judy! Really enjoy this video !
I really love your balanced message
Terrific tips, thank you Judy
Thank you Judy! Great video! Lots of great tips…. I’m 3+ years in Carnivore and your work and interviews have been very helpful!
Have you studied the work of Morley Robbins? I’d love for you to do an interview with him?
This was absolutely amazing information. So helpful thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing this. Was so helpful.
thanks Judy!
You are excellent with your information..thank you!
Such great advice! Liked 👍🏼 and subscribed 🔔
Good info thank you!
Excellent practical advice. We can’t b perfect.
Nice! Thanks🎉
Eating out; call ahead to the restaurant & ask them how they cook their food. If it’s a seed oil let them know you have reactions to seed oils if they could cook their food in tallow, or its own grease or real butter.
Very awesome tips!
❤Thank you 😊
Great video
Thank you.
Hello Judy,
I have been eating meat for 33 weeks. In addition to normal meat, all three meals are supplemented with butter.
Before eating meat, I was on a low-carb diet. When eating meat, I started to get rashes on my body and it was very itchy at night.
Three days ago, I took a kiwi fruit supplement a day and felt much better. Have you ever encountered a patient in this situation?
thank you!
Thank you ❤
Third attempt on the Carnivore diet.
❤thank u!
She is not talking about excessive water. She is talking about adequate water.
@@maryspearman9441that is his point-he disagrees with the recommended amount. He drinks much less than the daily recommended amounts. So he, in effect, is in agreement overall by finding what works for him.
There have been a lot of good things on Carnivore but insomnia & fatigue are my constant companions.
Meat heals
Yes, it does. ❤
Well said 👏
Super tips
I often wonder if I'm eating enough. I eat eggs, meat and butter, but I have low energy.
Hi Ms. Cho, I'm trying to advise my wife to place her type II in remission. Do you have a video discussion on this topic? Her NP just put her on Jardiance along with Metformin. Yet, her fasting bgc never goes below 140. Thank you! PS: You're wonderful
