- With AJ recently announcing that she's retiring from WWE, I wanted to put together a bunch of clips of her being awesome on commentary. She's arguably one of the greatest talents to grace the ring as well as roasting the shit out of Jerry Lawler with her quick wit. It's also very telling how much JBL, King, & Cole come across as disrespectful, way before "Giving Divas a Chance" became a phenomenon across the internet. Enjoy!

omg it gets me everytime because a part of her, I bet, knew she wasnt goint to stay long. You could almost feel and see that she looked pretty unhappy I think. cuz her commentary after the pipebomb the months followed were like FIRE and then after a while when things started going sour with WWE and Punk her commentary kinda chilled down like she was just chilling almost. Idk. But god do I miss her!
She'd probably still be with the company in some way if not for her relationship with CM Punk.

After watching this video my respect for aj has definitely grown. She wanted better and everyone thought she was being critical,but in reality she wanted better and she was going to fight for better. She was trailblazing and making history and she was still getting shitted on by the company she was working so hard for. She wanted equality and to break down the molds that wwe want women to be and they thought she was jus being a hater or “jealous” but in reality she wanted wwe to expand their horizons. She is legit Daniel and wwe was Goliath.

But yes absolutely agree. She was light years ahead of her time. So sad she had to be wasted in the sh*tty Divas Era.

Holy shit, did the Commentators not give a FUCK about the women's division back then. DAMN.
Jibble giving AJ shit for getting the date she won the Divas title tattooed on her neck is what irritated me the most, he thinks she's being a mark but this was the ceiling of the women's division, it was literally the best she could do, of course it was an important moment for her.
The great thing about Punk and AJ is, they were basically trolling WWE and exposing all the company's shortcomings every time they picked up a mic, but Vince couldn't do squat about it cuz they were both so over with the fans. xD
As for AJ specifically, I really wish she had come along during this current time of the Women's Division. She was so beyond anything on the women's roster back in the days of the Diva Era crap. It would have been great watching her work with real talent like Charlotte, Becky, etc. :o
Also, my god is Lawler a heap of trash. I'd pay top dollar to see AJ deliver a shining wizard right to that sweaty hamhock he calls a face. >;)

What I hate about the commentators today is that they are all "faces", they are always supporting the babyfaces and here you can see how annoying they are by mocking a heel wrestler as if the wrestler was a joke, this is obviously wrong lol, when JR was in commentary he never mocked heel wrestler's abilities, and he knew how to take them seriously and make them sound heelish, JBL and Jerry as faces is a terrible mistake as well, those two knew how to sell a heel wrestler's work, they just sound forced and corny as faces
