The true facts are that most of the properties, paintings, jewellery etc are owned by the British people. The Queen also has a lot of personal property which generates her income and she also pays taxes to the British Government.
They are owned by the Crown Estate, not the British people. There is a specific trust for the Royal Collection (Art and jewellery and books) . Nine of it is owned by the British people.

The true facts are that most of the properties, paintings, jewellery etc are owned by the British people. The Queen also has a lot of personal property which generates her income and she also pays taxes to the British Government.
They are owned by the Crown Estate, not the British people. There is a specific trust for the Royal Collection (Art and jewellery and books) . Nine of it is owned by the British people.

The Queen actually hates Buckingham Palace, but has to spend much of her time there because of the innumerable royal duties. She prefers to live in Windsor Castle which is more private and less lavish, or her other private residences.

She is fit for her age, (all those years of horse riding & walking ) & capable of showing up because she wants to, not because she has to. Hard to let go of the Crown when it created so much power & wealth. Maybe she simply doesn’t want to be like the Queen Mother, relegated to the background & let Charles now 71 years old take over. Maybe she knows the people don’t want Charles to be King.
