If anyone’s interested, a more serious song from them is one called the 8th of November
And their song Holy Water.
Big and RIch were a part of a group of musicians known as the MuzikMafia born from open mic nights at local music bars. They included Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, and Two-Foot Fred (amongst others). In loose association was also Kid Rock, Jewel, and Bon Jovi. They hung out together and collaborated as a way to fight corporate music management and return to just having fun in what they do. It lasted roughly from 2004 - 2008.
What? What? Big and Rich WERE the party! They also did one of the most gorgeous songs ever, "Lovin' Lately."
The video was filmed in Nashville. I’m pretty sure the marching band was just a collection of various musicians and marchers (i.e., it wasn’t an organized band affiliated w a particular school/university). Apparently the video was a pain in the ass to make 🤪, causing tens of $thousands in damage to the Shelby Street Bridge-mostly from horses damaging the cement and the decorative paint. It’s a pedestrian bridge that wasn’t constructed for the heavy vehicles that were hauled across it repeatedly during the filming. A fun blast from the past, nonetheless 🐴👠🤠🫦!
I live in Tennessee (little over an hour from Nashville) and was a teenager when they filmed this. All I remember is everyone talking about how much the bridge was damaged while filming this music video.
Being from Texas, it's said "cowboys stay in the saddle just a little bit longer."
The Marching Banjos and Cowboy Troy were awesome.
They sung Holy Water and John Rich sung about Detroit Shutting Down a car manufacturing. Both are really good especially Shuttin Detroit Down.

This is a simple fun Country Rock song but Big and Rich are a very talented duo who also do some hard-hitting ballad songs which I highly recommend.
The 8th of November is a true story about a friend of theirs who fought in Vietnam.
Holy Water written for Big Kenny's sister and others like her.
On a side note:
His lyric "I'll buy the crowd a round of Crown."
It's referring to Crown Royale Whiskey.

The origin dates back to 1939 when King George VI, his wife Queen Elizabeth and their daughter Elizabeth became the first reigning Monarchs to visit Canada.
