In today's video, I'll be getting my 1948 Ford Super Deluxe ready for car show season! To do that, I'll be performing some overdue repairs and a thorough servicing. This car is an awesome example of a well-sorted, driver-quality classic. It's also an incredible time capsule, making it one of my favorite things to drive! I've wanted to film this video for a while and show what it's like servicing something this old. Maintenance was certainly more hands-on and while there's something to be said about how simple things were, there's a lot of stuff to keep up with!

It looked very easy to work on even for young folks like me!! Very simply design no electronic nonsense!
Sweet job, Kyle! Great to see you are keeping this old beautiful machine in the best possible shape! Greetings to you and all of your family.
Really cool video! My dad recently bought his first classic. A 55 chevy & now im shopping for the right mopar. U never realize all the extra work that has to be done god forbid something happens.
Very cool. Not a Ford guy, but the simplicity and design is very close to my moms 51 chevy 3100 truck. I think keeping these old vehicles stock is just as important as restomoding
Thats a great shape for the late 40's when you look at what us British were driving new as daily drivers in 1948, Morris Minors and Ford Poplars that looked like designs from the 1930's. We had the Jaguar MkV and Riley RM but they were not affordable to the working man back in those days.
Those are my favourite cars when I get lots of money I’m gonna buy them
Great videos I have a 4 door 1947 whith colombia overdrive V8 and a 2 door sedan 1946 V8 just great cars and will be driving forever. Thanks ,
Arthur from Denmark.
Sooo excited to see this beauty out again. Huge fan of this car because of the sheer 40s energy it just radiates.
The 48 flathead Ford is a thing of beauty! Just finished watching your series on this car. Take good care of it and someday you may be giving it to your children/grandchildren!
Hej have a 46 like yours and a 47 fordoor sedan deluxe with a colombia overdrive great cars , great show, videos just great, Arthur from DANMARK
Nice job, Kyle.
Been a long time subscriber, back to your dealershp startup days, that's been over 10 years.
I can't even remember the first video I watched of yours.
Thanks for the video, Kyle.
Kyle I’m really loving this Timelapse as well as explaining new style of videos! Keep ‘em coming
We miss the thorough car reviews Kyle!!!
Thanks pal, I appreciate your support for the reviews! That being said, I have no plans for reviews in the near future. I am focusing on my builds and starting a restoration business, which I am far more passionate about.
@@saabkyle04 I definitely respect your choice. I miss your reviews, as they bring me a lot of nostalgia and good memories, but like I said, your life, your choice, man! I wish you the best of luck, and will look forward to these new videos. :)
Thanks a lot!
@@saabkyle04 i guess this is gonna be my fav yt channel then 🥵🥵
This has been my favorite car channel for I swear like 10 years
It won't surprise me if you find at least some zerk fittings plugged with hardened old grease as you take care of the chassis lube. There is a tool made that is intended to force old grease out of the fitting, but it doesnt always work.
What a gorgeous classic vehicle
Would love to have one of those. I'd make sure to add a tachometer to it to know when to shift to the next gear. A 3-speed on the column would be fun to drive. Kyle should add dual exhaust to that bad boy. I love the exterior color.
There are two small red dots on the speedo face 8ntended to let the driver know when to shift.
Great video! I just bought a1946 Super Deluxe Tudor as my first car and currently getting it ready for the upcoming show season! Just wondering, do you remember what you used to fill the rear end and tranny? I’ve heard all sorts of different ideas but seeing you actually do it makes me feel more confident! Thank you!
Including the video of papa's. Was amazing. 😭😊
It was an emotional piece to edit that's for sure haha
Lookin good ! Love the clips of papa and mama Nene.💖
I would recommend upgrading it to a 12 volt electrical system but otherwise I think it’s a very nice example of an original 1948 Ford Super Deluxe
Awesome video always a Fan of them classic & antique vehicles 💯% 👍.

Lol

i really need ur help i can’t make up my mind about which car to choose the mazda 3 or the subaru xv i know that they are not comparable one is a sedan and the other one is an suv but i need to know since u probably drove both which is best in driving dynamics (comfort-stability-driving fun-sound insulation)and stability on high-speeds and cornering is the most important to me???so could u please help me and thank u for your hard work and consideration U are so dedicated to this and we are thankful for that
The Mazda is a very stable feeling car. They make a sort of luxury sport feeling suspension. The Subaru has more wobble being that it's an SUV. If you get bad winter weather and live in a rural area, definitely the subaru
SheridanTank said it perfect! I've been out of the review game for a while so I can't comment on the newest models, but I would definitely agree with the other reply.
Kyle, since the car’s oil filter partially filters the oil, how often do you change it and what type & weight do you put in it?
Depends on how often I drive it. I don't put a ton of miles on it so I usually change it twice a year, maybe three times if I put more miles on it. I run 20w50 Valvoline VR1.
Are you planning on straightening the steering wheel?
Yeah at some point. I'm afraid of the wheel cracking apart when I try to remove it. I want to try and find a replacement first.
Epic
Thanks pal
Nice!! :-)
Have you ever considered putting dual exhaust on it??
Why don’t you swap the carburettors to efi.
Because it's original
@@saabkyle04 Some people don't get it when you want to keep a vehicle to original specs
John 3:16-21 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
