    i keep my modest little basement 'studio' on a strict budget. Its nice when some gear comes along that sounds good and doesnt bust a hole in the wallet.
    I think there a few levels of gear: the really cheap, doesnt-sound-good-at-all- knockoff, the cheap-made-but-sound-good stuff, and the sound-good- and built-like-a-tank (and also $$) stuff. Realisitically, I think most of us, like myself, fall into the middle category. Unless you're running a pro studio, and gigging/ touring regularly, gear like this is quite sufficient. Good vid as always man, thanks!

    For so little money this pedal is a really great pedal, it’s very well built, looks great, sounds great, has plenty editing features especially when using the app. Love using mine a little too much sometimes I have to make myself turn it off even I don’t want to. Well worth the money.

    This is really great. It's something of the closest to a real tape delay.... and then the price. GET IT

    I have a dozen of delay pedals, some very high end and very good but this one is the only to really imitate perfecly a real (reel) tape delay. I cannot explain why but when I use it I see a spinning tape in front of my eyes, a strange case of hallucination !

    I'm a huge fan of the roland RE-21 space echo and the boss RE-20. The fact that you can plug this into a computer and modulate parameters is pretty killer. Solid pedal. I actually just bought one for my Melodica that i modded to be electric. 😛

    absolutely great, even at 150€ it would be nice. Bought it 68€! insane price. tap delay allows to come over 1 second which is also cool and as tempo is set, you can still change the modes and it keeps working.
    what can I say more ? sound is really awesome and I'd be interrested in hearing a shootout with the real space echo Roland.

    Hey Leon, EXCELLENT review. Incredibly thorough with great musicianship on top of it. I've actually bought 2 pieces of NUX gear based on great youtube reviews (a B2 wireless system and a mini practice amp) and both were surprisingly garbage. I even returned and repurchased to give them the benefit of the doubt but had the same dismal results. On top of that their customer service was HORRIBLE. So, not to be a downer, but I'd advise anyone watching that NUX quality and customer service is a pretty bad and what they receive will not be the same quality that they provide to online reviewers. NUX is cheap. And you get what you pay for.

    • @LeonTodd

      That's a shame to here. I'm road testing a B2 at the moment so hopefully it holds up.

    It's unfortunate that you have to hook it up to a computer to access wow and flutter and saturation. The larger DD-7 version allows you to click down on the select knob to access those parameters right from the pedal.

    Holy cow! Man these new cheap digital pedals just keep getting better and better all the time! I personally lean more towards the Echoplex tape delay side, but I would have absolutely no complaints having this handy.

    Great sounding pedal. But I hate that you have to hook it up to a computer to get all it offers.
    The reason I prefer individual effect pedals over multieffect unities is quick access to all parameters. And this one fails to deliver that.

    This pedal is almost takes 2 people to operate it, the guitarist using and someone behind the curtain tweaking it....lol. Sounds like it might be the perfect pedal for someone wanting to copy or simulate the David Gilmour tone, for the price $99 new it beats the crap out of the Keeley Dark Side pedal $299 new. It's Very Cool pedal.

    • @6Stringers
      @6Stringers 5 років тому +1

      to be fair the Keeley does quite a bit more than this does. Not trying to downplay how good this sounds, especially for the money, but the Dark Side pedal has a fair amount of effects packed into it. And no, I cant possibly afford it lol

    • @dickdastardly2560
      @dickdastardly2560 5 років тому

      @Dave Young Absolutely the Keeley is a much better pedal and it should be for costing 3 times as much, but just listening to the NUX pedal and seeing what all it can do, for someone like me a " bedroom hack" 🤣🤣it's a better deal. Even used the Dark Side is well over $200 bucks where you can get one of these used for around $50 and less.

    Hello,
    Congratulations
    Thanks to your really professional demo I am really enjoying this NUX TAPE CORE very much.
    I also tried ATLANTIC from NUX and I must say that they are really working very well.
    I should buy a stereo echo to pair with my tc flascback delay.
    What do you think about it? Is it more suitable t-rex replay stereo, thera echo boss stereo or this nux tape core (mono input - stereo output)?
    The problem in my case is that it is not stereo in but it works really well.
    For what it costs maybe it is better to buy 2 and do the double line with the other stereo effects that I already have in this sequence: VESTA FIRE STEREO CHORUS - TC FLASCH BACK STEREO - 2 pieces NUX TAPE CHORE? - TC LOOPER FIRM X2.
    What do you think about it?
    I subscribed to your VERY INTERESTING AND PROFESSIONAL channel.
    Thank you very much

    Truthfully even the three and four hundred dollar multi tap delays don't sound as good as this. I was surprised when I got mine and I sold my fancy over priced giant pedals , they're useless space hogs now. I bought them just for the multi tap delays and they don't do this good a job at multi tap note values and sync, in fact, they are non-adjustable parameters ...... touché pricey junk!
