Just got a gold burst T484 from Sweetwater a few days ago and I can wholeheartedly say that the hype about them is real. I have a number of Gibson USA guitars and a Heritage, and while they are very nice instruments (haven’t tried a Gibson Custom Shop yet), the Eastman is without a doubt the most perfectly crafted guitar I have personally owned and the setup out of the box is spot on. The case is one of the nicest I’ve seen, too. I love my Epiphone ES339, but the Eastman T484 is on a whole other level. It’s definitely a long term keeper. Might have to check out an SB56 or SB59 some time.
I love eastman guitars. I have three of them so far. I've got my eyes on a couple more. Best guitars i've ever played. I'm an old guy so i've played a lot of vintage guitars. Because forty years ago they weren't vintage. Eastman's are as good or better than most of the guitars back then.
I have never played an Eastman but have the T484 on order so looking forward to it especially after watching your presentation. Also I like your bluesy 12 bar style. Keep the reviews coming. Cheers
I’ve never played an Eastman, but I had an old Ibanez AM50 , the same small size body, built in the 80’s, that was excellent all around. That Eastman sure is nice! Good video man.
Hey Leonard great review, I’m lucky enough to own a T386 model for the last 7 years and it’s a keeper despite the funny shaped headstock the guitars only drawback but they seemed to improve that now, fantastic playing as usual, have a great weekend and take care ✌️🧷🎸
Thank you my friend. I was unaware the headstock was ever any different. I do like the Eastman headstock quite a lot though. As always, thanks so much for following my channel.
Great review and playing! 👍 I'm a fan of the full-size hollow body and owner of a Gibson 335, however, I've tried smaller sized hollow body guitars and enjoyed playing them as well though there are some tonal differences but often it's minor and maybe more of a mental thing. I do like the smaller footprint from a comfort standpoint; that's a definite plus!
Sounding great! Very keen to try one of these - could never feel comfortable with a 335 but after playing my Casino for a couple of years when I spotted this in the Eastman range I figured would be worth looking at (that would be after I grab the SB59/v, of course!)
Great playing my friend 👍👍 While I cannot afford high dollar guitars I just got a Gretsch g2655p-90 (the staple pickups) off of reverb in mint condition. Simply put, its Fantastic (& less than $300) ☺️
Thanks so much. Actually, I featured the GB10SE just about a week ago. It’s a very different guitar though. A full hollow, not a semi, and it has floating pickups, etc. You can check that one out here: ua-cam.com/video/j6qK2enz6Hs/v-deo.htmlsi=PIzeMm1TX3wNjCMo
Great sound. I recently purchased the 339 sized Dangelico with A2 in neck and A5 In bridge and I I think it is amazing. I suggest checking one out when you have a chance. Maybe Sweetwater would send you one.
Hi. What's your opinion on those puckups? I tried this guitar at a shop and I loved the feel of it. One thing that held me back from buying was that I felt the pickups being too dark sounding. Maybe it was that the pickups weren't adjusted at the shop 🤷♂️
I see you asked this question a couple of times so be sure to check out my other response. But the short answer is no, I didn’t find them excessively dark at all. Same Seymour Duncans as the T486. Try another if possible.
Great job on the review! Tried a D'Angelico Mini DC and an Epiphone 339 Pro. Still looking for the "right" one. Did you get a chance to put a strap on it and check for neck dive?
Thanks so much. I’ve not tried that model D’Angelico yet. Stay tuned. I’ll get to it at some point. No actual neck dive, but the neck does sit fairly parallel to the floor. Not a problem for me since I don’t actually have to hold it up, but not the perfect angle hands free. I imagine that’ll vary with body weight.
You bet. I assume you mean fingerboard radius(?), which is 12 inch, like a Gibson. If you mean profile, it’s an even C shape and the depth is in the video.
I already have a fully hollow T184MX without the horrible pick gard and all solid woods. It's incredible. Try it before you buy the semi hollow. It's better.
Yes, the fully hollow, solid top thinlines are a very different animal. I had a 1981 Aria for years built exactly like that. I do like both styles though, having grown up around and having owned traditional laminate semi hollows. My take is they’re simply different but I can certainly understand preferring the fully hollow models. I’m sure I’ll get to one of Eastman’s fully hollow thinlines in time. By the way, I’m old school and like the pickguard. LOL. Thanks so much for watching.
One of my favorite channels
Thanks so much. That’s very gratifying.

They are impressive guitars that feel truly handcrafted. Thanks so much for watching.
Bought mine today my 4th Eastman..awesome review ..makes me very happy🙏🙏
Thank you my friend. Eastman makes some really nice guitars. Enjoy yours!
Always good and USEFUL reviews , I really fancy one of these😆😆. Glad to see your subscriber numbers on the up Leonard, keep up the good work.
Thank you my friend.
Damn son, that intro sounds amazing. The tones are perfect for Bluesy stuff. Beautiful guitar. Eastman makes good stuff for sure. Thanks Lenny
Thanks my friend. Yes, they sure do. I’ve been fairly impressed with all of them and I’ve featured a few.
Thanks so much my friend.
Great playing and honest review and informative…thank you.
Thanks so much. I hope you found it useful.

Those 80s Ibanez models are very nice. Thanks so much for watching.
Smoooooth, super nice guitar, perfect playing of course!
Love these reviews and demos!!💥🤙
I think what you mean is, smooove. 😆
Leonard, another great video and the same great playing as usual.
Thanks so much my friend.
As always, excellent, informative reviews. Thank you sir! :)
And thank you so much for following the channel.
Excellent! Really caught my attention with the 339 ish of it.
Nice. Thank you.
Great review, Leonard!
Thank you my friend.
Thanks. 😎
What a great box. Love it.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for watching.
You sound great. I love my Gibson ES339. I did not like the stock 'memphis tone circuit', so I got it removed, and now the 339 is my favorite.
Thanks so much. I’ll have to give one a try at some point. Keep an eye peeled, I’ll feature one at some point.

Yeah Leonard, my T386 is a 2016 model and the headstock is shaped more like a light bulb, have a great weekend Pal
✌️🎸🧷

It is a really easy guitar to sling around without hitting anything. LOL. Thanks so much.

Thanks. It’s a sweet one. It wouldn’t be hard to convince myself this is the better option, especially on tight stages!
Great playing my friend 👍👍

Well that sounds like quite the deal. Enjoy it and thanks for watching.
Nice guitar and great review thank you. Also a good small semi-hollow body is the Ibanez GB10SE or the less expensive Artcore AG75 (same shape)

@@leonardgriffieblues5845 you're quite right, it's a full hollow! Will check your video now. Thanks 👍

I’m afraid I’m still to small a channel for anyone to send me anything, but I’ll keep the D’Angelico in mind. Thanks for tuning in.
D'Angelico is the lesser guitar. Eastman kills it!
Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching.
Reminds me of Gibson's Bluehawk.
Interesting. I hadn’t thought of those in awhile. Thanks for watching.
What a fantastic video have a wonderful weekend Leonard also Monday is my birthday ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊
Well thanks and happy birthday!!
What gear did you use for this video? I love the sound of the guitar.
That’s straight into a Blonde spec Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb, no pedals.

Romeo LA is really nice with P90s
Keep tuning in, it’s on my radar and I’ll probably cover that one at some point.

It’s not better, just different! I played the 184MX and the T484, and my playing fits more with the T484.
Is the T184MX a fully holly body? I think it has a (small) center block. Greetings, Bart the Belgian.
