I do listen to those songs, Taal is one of my fav albums. I did reference Rannvijay's melody song, in the Pop music section. Thanks for watching the video, and leaving a comment.
I think vanga sir is highly inspired by Quentin Tarantino Also I think way of presenting story in animal is good but not story I think he will write better story in spirit
Thanks for the comment... TBH, I had a thought of this for a while, knew what source material to reference, scripting took half a day, and editing took 1 day... I did some pre-work to gather the clips when ANIMAL had released, knowing that I will use them in future videos I make.
Am sorry, the breakdown involves more information on what sounds can be used in the film and has only 3 real points about Sandeep's use of sound in Animal. This video essay could be better. Like the use of siren sound or the use of Arjun Vailley and its loud thumping coinciding with the action on screen. Use the sounds in the essay more often to make the point and not just talk about it. Also, does not matter what foley is used for - analyzing the foley sounds in the movie would have lent more analysis to the essay. Vanga is a technical master in sound and keeping the film mobile. But his stories are the opposite of what they need to be. That understanding is completely missing from his movies coz he projects his own fantasies in those characters and lets them get away with the vilest of scenes.
Thanks for the feedback; something I can re-calibrate on... My intention was to share all the different points without going too much into detail, and every point is a sound technique Sandeep uses. It could just be a preference thing. For the last point, I completely disagree... His stories are exactly what they are supposed to be, and the music helps elevate the experience. There is no project of his own fantasies, if that is true, then every director does that, there is nothing unusual about it.... But I can understand why some people think that, I myself know a few who think he is projecting things unnecessarily, even though I believe it to meet the requirements of the story. Thanks for watching the video and leaving a comment :)
@@FilmyInfluencer thank you for your reply. As for the video essay, I recommend the channel Every Frame a Painting, if you have not before. The essays are detailed but he is too laser-focused on the subject. You will certainly enhance your videos soon. Best wishes for your effort and success. I believe you still need to explore a bit more into South Indian films. Almost all mani ratnam movies has visual and sound design at their peak. Consider watching raavan, sakhi, thalapathy, Yuva. Very precise and right at the moment. Good luck 😊
Thanks for the suggestions and for leaving a comment. I am slowly graduating myself towards watching more movies from South India. I have watched Raavan (did not like the movie), loved Yuva (Fanaa is among my favorite songs), I have seen Thalapathi (songs were good), around that time Roja was among my favorite music albums. I haven't seen Sakhi, but I have seen the original RHTDM Tamil movie (Minnale is probably the best romantic music album IMO). Thanks for supporting the channel.
@@FilmyInfluencer I don't know which version of ravan you watched (I talked about Vikram). Yes I too didn't like ravan much interms of narration and story. But the visuals and the sound used is unique. I hope you agree that some of the best works of directors often fail at box-office.
@@bhargavstumpy9674 I saw the Hindi version first and couldn't bear it... Yes, the music was really, 'Behne De' and 'Thok De Killi' are my favorite tracks from that movie... And yes I agree, often films of great directors fail at box office... Anurag Kashyap is a prime example of it 😅😆
Audience can bear bad video but cannot bear poor sound Sound is cheapest and best technique to make film look rich..Most of directors without sound taste have failed even though the story is good...ramgopal veema is best example for director with best sound taste..he for his first film shiva visited theatre in hyderabad tested the sound and then released the film...
Absolutely, and this is true for every video... even on UA-cam. At some point I will be making a video on RGV as well, hoping to capture all the great moments from his films. Thanks for the comment...
I think the placement of Sari duniya jala denge in the airport fight scene was a bit weird. It was liked by few and unliked by many. Maybe due to lesser importance to father son chemistry development or it just feels misfit for some other reason. Other than that, music is good af
Thanks for the comment... I felt it was fine, considering it was the first time the two cousins came face to face, and Vanga doesn't use songs in a traditional way. The story keeps moving while the song is going on. Thanks for the insight though
wowww...jus see the mixture of Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino...he will keep going until the copies or inspirations from them r emptied..no one can ever become great by this kind of making..thats the difference between originality n a copy..
Interesting take... but being inspired by something isn't a bad thing. One can't say that the presentation, screenplay or sound design is a copy, that is original... the concept, some parts can be inspired, but that is something we do in our daily lives anyways. Every creative artist finds inspiration in some way, but what they do with it, is what makes them GREAT... Thanks for the comment
As a person from Telugu audiance the song or the bgm from Animal that had fater and son sentiment one always remember me the Vanga's presence in it cause of past movie Arjun Reddy experience those caughty lyrics with melody tune was a gem... Most important thing of vanga songs are that, they always plays in background the only song that i remember that had lip-sync is panjabi beat one. That take even more into the film in the movie irrespective of the language. You concentrate on scene even more..❤ In Arjun Reddy a famous dialogue was there "Suffering is personal Gowtham let him Suffer" that too a must added one for this video....❤ BTW great analysis 👍👍.
Glad you liked the video, and added a comment. I have got so many comments for not including the "Suffering is personal" dialogue... my bad, I will add that in the future if I reference Arjun Reddy in a video... Thanks again
I really wanted to listen any analysis about the bgm of Heading to kill jeeja sequence..... I wnated to ask... After he killed abrar he cuts his great beard and only hair remained. Doest that signify anything?
IMHO, it's the end of his ANIMAL phase, and just like Balbir 60th bday, he had cut his hair and beard as a bday gift, this post act is in a way a gift to his father, signifying that he has taken care of all the threats.
@@FilmyInfluencer yeah... But he didn't cut his hair in last scene... Meanwhile he did in 60th birthday party.... So why difference in the same gift this time?
@@Avanish0011 I am more on the 'ending of the ANIMAL" phase than the bday present theory... but remember that Balbir also told him during the 60th bday that you look good with long hair as well, so may be that's why he didn't cut the hair...
@@FilmyInfluencer good observation.... But again in the birthday scene he says "I have cut my hair" as before it je only had long hairs and no big beard. So why does the beard sacrifice? He could have just tied his hair like the Micheal Jackson long hair style which he had in begining.
@@FilmyInfluencer Appreciate the reply and the effort to put the video together. But the supposed value add in the sounds is what should be the norm in all films. As far as songs and BGM, Vanga is at best an aspiring director, nevertheless a strong writer. Except for 1 original song and a couple of BGMs, nothing else sticks which makes the content quite the ordinary. And borrowing songs (thankfully legit) to be reused is literally okay. Cheers.
Thanks for the reply and appreciate the candoe. Well my video is more on how any kind of sound, whether it be Foley, dialogue, ambiance, original, pop music etc. fits into the movie's narrative, and how Vanga does it... I was hoping to capture that aspect more than anything else.

You should be listen ar rahman taal song , ranvijay singh entry melody ♥️♥️♥️
I do listen to those songs, Taal is one of my fav albums.
I did reference Rannvijay's melody song, in the Pop music section.

Gurthperithiko Sandeep Reddy vanga 😈😈😈
Thanks for watching the video, and leaving a comment.
I think vanga sir is highly inspired by Quentin Tarantino
Also I think way of presenting story in animal is good but not story I think he will write better story in spirit
Thanks a lot for the comment...
More than the story, it will be the presentation that will standpoint, the overall package.
The only two people to use sound and music this way and revolutionise it - 1)RGV, 2)SRV
Yes, and SRV has mentioned in interviews that RGV has been an inspiration for him.

How many days to Create this video?
Sure, films are subjective and can speak differently to different people. I will leave it at there about Vanga. :)

You concentrate on scene even more..❤
In Arjun Reddy a famous dialogue was there "Suffering is personal Gowtham let him Suffer" that too a must added one for this video....❤
BTW great analysis 👍👍.

Ilayaraja watching this video will chuckle.
Sounds a lot like Sarcasm... but I will still go ahead and say - Thanks for the comment
