I’ve toyed around with the idea of selling on TikTok, but I wasn’t finding any info on the whole discount thing and didn’t know if sellers were only receiving for instance, $1.77 for their $40 item. Tiktok gives the discount to buyers. The seller still receives the whole amount. Tiktok shop is doing this to get more buyers on platform since its relatively new. But right now it starting to get alot of drop shippers like etsy.

This is a very interesting and helpful video! I just started a small business on etsy and shopify. My kids keep telling me I need to get more into tiktok, but my retail inventory isn't huge right now. Question, I use Etsy to ship my Etsy orders, but could I also use Shopify to fulfill? Do you know if shipping is about the same cost? How would you recommend setting shipping prices if you have both Etsy/Shopify? Is one rate better than the other for buyers? Thank you for your tips!

Tik tok on Dec 6, said shipping/handling can be set at 1-10 weeks. Is this true? Why do they say 3 days? This is what stops me. I make quilts and do not have/can't keep inventory. I need 2 weeks to fill an order. Thanks!

I do have a question regarding embroidery patterns with Disney . Did you have to purches the license from them to be able to sell the 👕 with they characteristics, etc
I am new to the business and I do not know how the copy right works here. I read about it and I know they are overprotective regarding they characters or anything what might be resemblance of they products.
Can you sell the Ts on Etsy without buying the license?

I did not leave Etsy, I still have it but I do like having my own website on Shopify as you have more control and the fees are less!

I finally figured out how to turn off the tiktok free shipping but, can't find any solid videos on shipping settings.
Tiktok charges way less for shipping versus what we're paying so, we had to pull our products out to stop the sales til we could figure out the shipping settings.

When it comes to TikTok shop, do TikTok shop take forever to release the money to you? It’s like I don’t want to send out the order until I have the money because TikTok shop only give you three days… And if I send out the product before I receive the money, the customer can cancel it get their money back and have the product, so how do you go about it?
Does it matter the quantity? Can it be small?
I'm a newbie so all of this is overwhelming to me I'm still trying to understand using the machine and coming up with Designs. I found a digitizer that I like so I haven't gotten any orders yet because I haven't done any advertising. Do you have to set up a webpage or something on Shopify and TikTok? I'm not real savvy on the computer anymore after a massive stroke so that's why I ask do I have to hire somebody to put me on these locations of these companies?

Not sure if you mentioned this and I missed it, I know you said at first they cap you at what you're able to take in for orders but is there a way to cap yourself? We're just getting started and only have one machine so even 100 orders in a day sounds terrifying haha. Thanks for all the info!
Hi! you can set inventory limits that way you only sell what you can make!

Not sure what the answer is but you could always limit the available stock which would have the same effect

I know you sell on TikTok how do you keep up with having enough inventory ect so you can ship it fast to comply by their rules so you don't get kicked off
do you have the ability to set a max stock limit so you do not get bombarded with too many orders based on your blanks inventory so you don't have a bunch of orders that are late due to waiting on more blanks.

Looking at yours gives me hope… are you paying for any advertising, to keep your views up, now that you’ve gotten established? If you are doing advertising, are you comfortable sharing a ballpark of what you had to spend to maintain traction? Your video taught me so much, just really trying to figure out if we can swing this.

Your buyers shop directly on your TikTok. You don’t need Shopify to use it.
Shopify just organize if you have more than one platform and of course, it costs more $$

So my question is, did you all not set limits for your items? Like I make sure I set limits so I don’t ever get overwhelmed lol even on my website. I’m confused bc there’s limits on how many orders in a day too…
haha we didn't set the limits
They just increased the referral fee from 2% + .30 cents to a flat 8% today.

So if you only have 1 machine, how would you approach TikTok.
Set your quantity to what you can do I just got in Tiktok Shop and went over things easier to setup through Shopify tiktop app and if you do Individual you only need to upload ID if you do Sole Proprietor then you need EIN. Just took 1 day for approval. Then read they have an academy. I am not starting yet to I get inventory.

No, as the payment processing is done through tiktok!

yes I use SKU IQ to transfer them over automatically
I have blanks on hand but if I was starting from scratch that wouldn't be possible, I would recommend having at least 2 of each size on hand since tiktoks processing time is so low
