The C4 intermediate oval is the only reason I now own a Schuberth (well, that and the closeout prices cutting the cost in half for the C4 at most retailers now). Makes it identical to my Shoei RF1000/RF1100/Hornet X2, all in Medium. The Medium C4 fits me perfectly and feels like my Shoei. The C3 Pro and C4 Pro are of no use to many of us.
Thank you for your feedback Tim. True, the C4 Pro went back to the traditional rounder Schuberth fit. Well I guess it all depends on your head shape if this is a good thing. In your case, Shoei will provide a better fit which is traditionally (intermediate) oval. How do you like your C4 so far?
Hi Tim, that helmet shape is something of a specialty for Schuberth and while it is not an appeal to most riders, Schuberth is the pick of choice for many riders which fit more round. I'm glad that the C4 fits you well. How have you found it otherwise?
Tim, I agree. I purchased the C4 at the 50% off close out as well and it is the most comfortable helmet I’ve owned. I’m not real impressed with the low volume of the speakers and I did have a problem with the lining above the drop down visor coming loose. Schubert repaired it, replaced drop down visor and replaced “Sena door covers” free under warranty. Now that they’ve returned to the “more common round shape” (lol) this will be my last as well.
I hear that Arai makes helmets in both head shapes. As a person with an intermediate oval head, I sure wish that more manufacturers did. Schuberth definitely made it more complicated by making a C4 that was intermediate oval and then going back to their old head shape. I found a dealer that sold both the Shoei Neotec II and the Schuberth C4 and C4 pro and the he current C4 and C4 pro do not fit like the Shoei. I could wear one, but not for very long so I wouldn't. Too bad. I liked it otherwise.
Can't believe that he didn't mention the different shell sizing. Still just two, but the C4 smaller shell only was for Ex-Small thru Medium, the C4 Pro uses the smaller shell up through the Large size. Good news for Large size wearers.
Thank you for your comment. Which one do you like more: Schuberth C4 Pro or the Shoei Neotec 2? (comparison video: ua-cam.com/video/dBGvwKiEv0s/v-deo.html )
The speakers are different. The C4 ( old ) the speaker are big and build in metal. The C4 pro are smaller, near a half of the old one. The bass sound are worse the original. But the new one is more silence.
@@Championhelmets i have tried both helmets side by side. The differences are small. The C4 Pro has small speaker but has very good quality too, but i feel that the bass sound could be better. The new C4 basic do NOT has speakers mounted in the helmet. The old C4 has good price in some stores too.
My C4 started falling apart before its 12 month aniversary. Also no mesh on air intake means you are let like you head in a bucket full of flying bugs....
The Problem i have with my schuberth is that the red connector (the one that locks in with the red button for the liner) also gets removed. Is there a way on how to put it in again without any professional help from schuberth service center? I also noticed that the Schuberth logo and txt at the back of my Matte Black C4 Basic helmet is just a sticker, can be peeled off any time.
Hi Willy, That's really unfortunate. I'm not really sure which part you mean exactly, though it is always best to go through your warranty. The quality was really lacking on the C4 unfortunately. How long have you had it?
THANKS a lot really enjoyed your sharp and short way.

Good comparison! Nice upgrade from Schuberth
Yeah it is. Have you tried the older C4?
Very good comparison video. I buy new C4 Pro today. 👍🙂
Thanks for the feedback!
What did you think of the two Schuberth helmets?
Nice to know Thanks !
The new c4 pro looks Nice
Nice comparison video!, really helped me.
Didn´t they also change the position of the internal mic from forehead region to left cheek?
Yes that is right. So now when you try to speak, people should be able to hear you now.
Great helmets!

Thanks, I missed that!
It sounds like you've tried both out, if so, which did you prefer?

Fair enough,
And no the C4 basic doesn't have speakers but it does have that lower price that people appreciate.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
