Man, I already voted for my favorite monster. It always has and always will be the B52 himself. The powerful and loud Bazelgeuse. I love every bit of his design and how it and it's variant Seething Bazel are based on bombing planes. Seething being based off of nukes is just a chef's kiss. The way I was introduced to him was when I was still maining Insect Blade. I was running around High Rank fighting a Pukei Pukei while gathering all of the new stuff. That's when I came across his left behind scale without seeing him flying off. It looked strange and I tried to pick it up, but it wouldn't do anything so I just mined next to it. That's when the Pukei Pukei came in and I started fighting it. Well...what would you know when the boy came back around and starting causing all sorts of havoc. I couldn't fly, I couldn't run, and fighting him was just begging to be blown to bits. I was terrified and shocked at the entire encounter. It wasn't until I found my true weapon in Gunlance that I faced Bazel again and felt like his equal. Artillery versus artillery it was a beautiful fight and I thank World and Capcom for introducing me to the absolute unit of a monster being Bazel. I hope he returns for all future Monster Hunters I don't care. It will never get stale fighting my boi.
As a 3rd fleet veteran, I can say. You picking all elder dragons......your good. True there are more than just elder dragons but they made the designs of elder dragons and flagship monsters more appealing to players to draw them in. Personal I want to see Lao-Shan Long and Gogmazios on this list later. But also Zinogre and Brachydios. All I can say is just pick up monster hunter generations ultimate. They went all out with that one including all monsters. You would love the ahtal-ka fight.
Well it's certainly Christmas time, I got to see yet another top 5 by thegamertronshow and another top 5 favourite monsters by a 5th fleeter, double wammy, as someone who's been with the games since 2nd gen it's always great to see a new guys opinion on the monsters
Even when monster hunter world has sold 20 million copies, I keep thinking...ITS NOT ENOUGH. MOAR PEOPLE SHOULD PLAY IT, THE ENTIRE WORLD SHOULD PLAY IT. MONSTER HUNTER FRANCHISE IS THE BEST IN EXISTENCE. MY TOP 1 FAV GAME FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME!
anyways heres my top 5 monsters:
5- Vaal Hazak
4- Alatreon
3- Nergigante
2-Safi Jiva
1- Raging Brachydios
Oh nice a video where I can comment about how great Valstrax is without it seeming like Valstrax propaganda (this is definetly not Valstrax propaganda). The monster: Is a ROCKET DRAGON, is fun to fight with combat as smooth as a dance, and it has fire music to boot. The equipment: Looks just as cool, the armour has fun abilities, and the weapons are always either red or white sharpness, no inbetween. Also did I mention that it's a fucking ROCKET DRAGON. Odogaron easy second.
When I eventually get deep into Rise I look forward to fighting Valstrax. I know his theme is an absolute banger.
Goldbeard Ceadus is the best the atmosphere the combat the mechanics is just pure epic
I was just thinking he will probably change his mind after fighting Ceadeus. Music for it just enchanting and so strange and eerie. Raging Brachydios would have been a sub in for me instead of Nergigante. As much as I love Nergi, Brachydios is so iconic.

I should probably play some MHW again soon. Still need to beat Nergigante.
My favourite monster is probably Rathian, it's a very fun monster to fight and has a simple yet effective design.
