I recorded this at the end of February but decided to hold off on uploading for... fairly obvious reasons. Fairly happy with how it came out, although some sections of the solo are a bit iffy. Oh well! Working on "Misanthrope" by Death now.

Niiice... 'Sons of Northern Darkness' and 'All That You Fear' from Impaled Nazarene were out within about a yr of each other and I had them both on repeat like crazy. Have you ever listened to 'From The Depths' - Bereavement?

wow, I wasn't expecting this solo at all! And it's great...
But yeah, to be honest it didn't fit into "One by One" imo... it sounded like the "top gear" solo or some generic power metal...
Don't get me wrong, the solo is amazing! I just thing it's into the wrong music...
beside that you have done a great job, keep it going!
Thank you very much for the honest feedback. Listening back, I think you are 100% correct - the vibe just doesn't match. I had been working on some technical exercises and tried to make a solo out of them, but I wasn't feeling the energy of the song. In 2024 I hope I can find more of the musicality in playing guitar (I think I need to spend time with music theory instructionals from different genres instead of focusing on technique). Thanks again!
