I loved riding in Vietnam! Overall, they are a slow moving traffic which gives way to one another including pedestrians at all directions. I loved the thrill and it keeps you alert at all times hahaha
totally agree with the keeping alert at all times, i realized that drivers and riders there tend to be more alert on the road. i think riding here in singapore makes us complacent sometimes.
10 min of pure entertainment! Thanks Amos and the tri333ple team for risking everything to produce such good quality content. 3 rounds of round about for 3 out 3 triple 3 stars lol
when i was there i didnt have time to think about this, the 333. hahahaha . glad you enjoyed it, appreciate the kind words buddy 🙏🙏.
Amos
@@tri333ple you are 25 times more likely to be killed in Vietnam RTA than in SG
😂😂 Singapore has spoiled everyone 😂😂. Love the thrill.
ha giang loop next please
its called organised Kaos.. when you cross the road... dont stop haha
As long as you make clear your intentions i think you wont get knocked down haha
Roundabouts everywhere else in the world just scary la bro haha
ahh Ben Than market and the Book Street! went to HCM last month and thats my exact reaction when I see the traffic. hahaha
different cultures of riding in different countries! love it
When crossing road in Vietnam, avoid the cars and buses. Bikes can weave around you so no worries on that
Cross the Rd is a challenge but once u get the use of it after a few days living there.
That pedestrian crossing was horrific!
You have my respect for attempting that.
there was no other way out, i waited abit but there was just no opening hahaha
Vietnam TP left the chat..
Definitely try to ride in the Philippines also especially in metro manila. It's same same with vietnam.
Did that in Hanoi, okay to go without so much fears as you shared, need to be more localise urself......
how was hanoi compared to hcmc?
ride in hanoi for 1yr plus, it is pretty okay with road condition and crowds, HCM is more fears!
Wow, for someone not familiar with the semi-automatic clutchless bike, you're incredibly brave and did a great job! It's called an underbone bike, in Malaysia we call it kapcai, derived from cub+仔, it's the type of bike we learn at driving schools, it's interesting that Singaporean driving schools are different (thought we would be similar), ours do teach the full manual bikes but that's Bfull (500cc and above) mine is B2 (below 250cc).
Watching you surviving through the traffic is already making my jaw drop, I can't believe the driving there is so, well, let's say interesting, here I would complain if someone doesn't give signal or cuts through carelessly, Vietnam is on a whole other level 😱
Hahaha u should try it too someday 😃😃😃 very interesting ride for me
"They go, I go. They stop, I stop." 😂
the only instructions i got from the motorbike rental company were parking instructions. i had to start somewhere hahahahahahaha
All I can say is 😱!!! It does look to be chaotic, but polite 😆😆😆👍
I’ve seen multiple people killed in Vietnam. Heads split open like watermelons on the street. Scooters hit by busses and so forth. Old ladies walking just getting destroyed
In Hanoi they use echolocation, they beep everytime they are near someone! (Which is all time time) So every road is like as 3-4 times worse than the roundabout.
Omg thats really accurate. Echolocation hahahahaha
I was in hcm recently. Haha crossing the road during peak hour is an experience not to be missed 👍
Tour Guide Voice: come to HCMC ! cross the road in HCMC ! 😜
Traffic Policemen there must be dong millionaires with all the non compliant fishes in the sea of chaotic traffic to get side income!
Hi, sorry, i'd like to ask about something else 🙏.
Your Africa twin after mileage more than 100K km, have you changed the rectifier regulator? Thanks.
Hey bro, yes changed before. i think only once in my almost 7 years of riding the Africa Twin
Shouldn try go hai van pass its rlly beautiful.
I tried riding in Hanoi… it is a pressure cooker riding there n if want to learn how to ride at their street, suggest try riding after 9-10pm than go for actual riding on day time…
will actually attempt this one day haha
yes, it is possible, you need to see Top Gear special :D
Actually I noticed their honking is not the rude intention kind but to tell you they are approaching and overtaking you
yes i noticed that too, while i was there, there was honking everywhere. its very different from our version of the honk hahaha
How do you bring your helmet overseas?
Check in luggage bro! 😁👍
@@tri333ple Wah i scared they anyhow toss the luggage and damage my helmet 😆
I was there two weeks ago. I could not believe my eyes. I thought traffic rules were the worst from where I'm from. I was wrong lol i really had my doubts and just refused to rent the scoots. Great food and people tho. Lots of healthy meals with veggies
Where u from buddy?
I really enjoy riding in Saigon and in Vietnam in general - slow moving traffic and most of the folks on the road are pretty alert. Hanoi is way more aggresive as there's more cars and buses, esp tour vans in the city and old quarter that often push you into other riders. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a video on a ride on the Hai van pass or ha giang loop - core memories at least for me on a honda airblade!
will definitely attempt those in the near future!! 😜
In HCM, you should drive a tank then no problem with traffic
wah lao see until balls shrink, good job surviving and great video!
Haha many close calls 😁👍
When you said "I wanna see if I can get to District 1", you have already been riding in District 1 for a while already. From what I can tell, 2:05 onwards was already District 1. 😂
@@jasonang4501 as a foreigner in vietnam i can say that i had no idea hahaha
Riding in VN is great, but you heard it right: Ha Noi is the worst of all! So many people just driving through the red traffic-lights! Police doesn't seem to do much about it there. Always watch what's happening in front of you and try to anticipate their moves and gestures. Never look at their turn-signals, they don't mean anything.
I tried before crossing.. cannot make it hahahaha😂
You should trying riding in Indian Traffic.
At the roundabout, learn to give way. I saw the cars inching in and you never slow down. It's more dangerous riding this way.
They trying to cheap out on using roundabouts instead of using traffic lights
You people are absolutely crazy. How many accidents do they have a day? I only saw small scooters and no big motorcycles. Smaller is better in your country. Thanks for another amusing and funny video. This is not south florida driving. We would be arrested for driving like that. 🥰🥰🙄🙄
Same here in singapore.. but the people there tend to be more aware of their surroundings 👍
@@tri333ple I would be very nervous too walking across the street. I have never seen such madness. thanks again. 🥰
If i ride through this, probably need to change my underwear every hour.
thats why i brought a few more hahaha
Try riding in the PH 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Hows it like in PH?
@@tri333ple Terrifying
Yo how long are you guys here? Shout out for renting from Tigit haha
We are already back in singapore 🥲🥲
Seeing you cross the road gave me anxiety 😰😰
i survived to upload the video. all good hahahah
Hi!! Vietnam accept IDP?
i didnt get a IDP when i rented from them ! better to double confirm before you head over!
No Singapore license isn’t recognise over there even with IDP.
Yes Hanoi is way worse than what you showed here. It’s almost shoulder to shoulder at times
Will definitely visit Hanoi someday! Hcmc's traffic vs singapore traffic is very different but having said that everyone there would naturally be more aware and daydream less while driving. Always two sides of a coin
GE-GAR motorfest not GI-GA laa.. knn become gigabyte already..
😁👍 yes you are right. See you all there!
The WHO counted 24,970 deaths in Vietnam in 2018, a rate of 26.4 per 100,000 inhabitants (SG rate is 1.49 per 100,000 inhabitants).
(source: 16 Dec 2022 VNExpress)
Thats a very scary stat.
@@tri333ple i thought so also until i realized Malaysia stat is only few units lower than VN.. 22 or so per 100,000 🙀🙀
Amos... going to pee himself... 🤣 just kidding
almost bro.. 😬😜
@@tri333ple Brave man! Respect! Support from Malaysia! *Salute!*
When i ride there i just whack only. I think saigon is still easy compare to india. try india! HAHAHA dirt sandy roads
Will do one day hahahaha
Wait till u try ride in india hahah! All this nothing one... just need to ignore rules and life shiok alrdy
oh o. here comes the next suggestion
Still better than India
lol this is ez, you need to try riding motorcycle in the Philippines, specifically in Commonwealth highway in Quezon City
There is nothing happening. Just don't think of "right of way" and traffic regulation and riding in Vietnam is a breeze. When there is vehicle coming to your right, you inch to the left. When there is vehicle coming to your left, you inch to the right. When both side coming to you, just brake/slowdown, let them pass and you go behind them. That's it. Simple.
Yes coming from a really 'controlled' traffic environment in singapore where people might take things for granted i really appreciated the way the vietnamese was so aware of their surroundings.
@@tri333ple I am a Singaporean too! =) and taking things for granted is individual's mind. Can't change, can't adapt, can't survive. Vietnam has "no rules" and "no rules" is the rule. Same for many countries in South America, Indonesia, etc.
Wtf 😂😂😂😂😂
A place where rules are just a suggestion. 😂
