Who cleans Dhaka’s streets?
120,000 people work with waste in Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital city. Many are stuck in a vicious cycle of inequality, tackling health hazards, low incomes and a lack of access to basic services like education, despite working every day.
Everyone deserves a safe life and livelihood. What are we doing to ensure it?
BRAC, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Foundation, implemented ‘Bandhan’, a pilot project in 13 low-income settlements in Dhaka to improve the wellbeing of 3,500 waste management workers, this year.
