Wonderful! Sang this while living in Munich in the 80's. German American Choral Society. We sang it downtown at the Asam Kirche . It was a very memorable experience.

Great soloists & tempos but somewhat thick, heavy & ponderous performance. I suspect a totally amateur chorus. It lacks a lightness & the choral intonation is a bit on the edge for me.

No, +shnimmuc is right. Mozart wrote many brilliant and inspired music, but the masses (except the coronation, and the requiem, which are outstanding) are really brilliant routine. Beautiful, but not very exciting. But, +Joanna Space, nobody wants to spoil your (well founded) joy when you listen :)
Simply splendid! I never got tired of listenig to the Sparrow Mass. Thanks to the Master W. A. Mozart.

In the age of Mozart how did they organise the chorus, were they professionals or amateurs, and who were the musicians?
The musicians were pros, usually. The singers were not, except for the soloists.
