Exceptionally fine performanc, as you wd expect from Concentus Wein. Fluid, precise, very well phrased with suitably lyric/dramatic dynamics. Period phrasing in the strings is particularly notable, ditto the lightness of the voices.
The Harnoncourt phrasing became legendary, though triggered a lot of flak from expressionless HIPsters too. I personally prefer the Philips recordings by Kegel of the masses, sound engineering is better and modern instruments give the edge in orchestral brilliance. Leipzig Radio Chorus pretty impressive too, as soloists - sad to hear in Harnoncourt's versions how Uwe Heilmann's voice deteriorated over the years. At his prime in the 1980s and better recording outfit, different story. The Concentus Musicus Wien under Harnoncourt's 'phrasing' delicacy and energy has been one of the few Baroque ensembles I paid attention to, and collected discs from, over the years. Mozart's masses were recorded in a parish church in the Austrian countryside with wonderful acoustics over the summer in the 1990s. These are some of Harnoncourt/CMV/ASC best recordings.
Le génie créateur de Mozart utilisant sa duplicité musicale et humaine pour allier le sacré en une combinaison d'adoration profonde des plus harmonieuses afin de hommage à l'Esprit Infini, au Divin..
There is a competition in Japan early spring for school students. On middle school group presented this mass and did an outstanding job as does this group.
Seigneur tu as pris une figure amblematique.... Ya plein de gens valeureux au ciel... MERCI toujours pour Benedictus Lui Venis sa me console et me revigore plus que jamais....

Clearly a German Choir!! Wonderful
Austrian, to be precise
Luca Garzolini germans cant sing
DankMemes Gerharher, Damrau, Kaufmann, Fischer-Dieskau, Regensburger Domspatzen, Wunderlich
Unlucky for you if all the Germans you've heard of can't sing.
Good music though the Benedictus is fast. It should be solomny and meditative in order to carry meaning. And the alto is a bit weak.
Waou jadore le Kv 140 et 240 de Mozard

Very Good Version - but unfortunately this version is not in Cmajor!! (Sounds like Bmajor)
It is, it's just a different tuning (~430 Hz rather than the traditional 440 today). It's more realistic to how it would have been in Mozart's time.
👍👍

I dont this is in C major
It is not in the regular C major, i think it is slightly lower as it is would be performed in Mozart's time :)
You are aware that note names are contingent on tuning systems, yes ?
@astridmeadow8605 so cool thanks :)
@PastPerspectives11 didn't know that 6 years ago lol but now I do :) thanks
