Wonderful, wonderful tribute. She was such a lovely woman. She went through so much with her illness. I’m so glad you included her work with Annifrid Lyngstad, l LOVE the Abba ladies and their work, so these are very special for me. I love that Marie met her husband here! Having a quiet day (throat issues) so looking forward to catching up on these videos. I really appreciate how through your videos we get to find out about these musicians as people, and their creative lives. Thank you!🤗
my lifetime love songs - roxette inspired me in so many ways, contributing to my very own success. at times all u nid is the right music to sustain chasing yo dreams. nuf respect to this duo
In North America it was so interesting when they broke through. It was at an odd time in music. There were so many different genres that were popular at the same time. It was before the Internet and something breaking through a college campus to the main stream did happen to multiple artists. there was something about Roxette that didn’t feel inexperienced, even though they were new to North America and we didn’t know anything about them. Having that many huge hits in such a short period of time was impressive.
I wish I knew what happened during those last several years of her life, and what actually led to her death. I know Wikipedia says she had a 17-year battle with cancer, but what ... happened? I wish her family hadn't excluded Per from the funeral. It was their choice, but it makes me sad. Same with her wedding. I think the only part of this I didn't know was that she had talked with Per about disbanding Roxette in 2001 or 2002. I knew she was really not happy recording vocals for Room Service, but I thought it was just that she didn't like the songs. Her book needs to be translated into English already... :(
Marie's book is out in English I didn't know Per didn't go to her funeral but makes sense though same as the wedding her final resting place has been kept secret from everyone.
R.I.P 😭Going to miss her talented voice and performance.❤❤❤
