Loved the video! From the close up shots it looks like there is a little bit of grey in the table. I'd like a "raw wood" look that would go good with black chairs. Do you think the method you used would go well?
Thanks! Yes the milk paint wash I mixed up was a warm grey color so it helped tint the wood. I think natural wood looks great with black! Can you tell if your black chairs are a warm, cool, or neutral black? Wood would look best with a warmer or neutral black. You could try mixing up a milk paint wash to tint the wood to work well with the tone of the black chairs.
If you seal the top with wax (after the poly crylic), you'll end up with the same sheen as the base. Also, if you buff the waxed piece with an old pair of nylons, you'll end up with a STUNNING finish. Looks beautiful!
