Just like you fans were having so much fun with this during the World Tour 2023 is a song they don't wanna left behind in any of their setlist and i love it.
When SuMetal is throwing a kick and saying _"maidens shouldn't be uderstimated",_ that refers to a japanese mob film about some boss mafia daughter before attacking someone, and if you remember the official MV, she's doing something different, this is one of the few songs we always like to recommend the official MV for first time watching, especially to avoid that intro with the breakdown spoilers so don't worry about the official MV since is the best option along with very few others such Iine!, Karate and Doki Doki Morning.
This is a live compilation with different clips from Budokan 2021 celebrating their 10 BABYMETAL Years, (there were 10 different shows throughout 4 months and this one was performed in all these concerts that's why you didn't notice the difference in the editing, and that's the reason this is a fine and decent live compilation after all), the avenger or third backup dancer here was Momoko Okazaki, a former Sakura Gakuin member just like our girls, which recently become the new official member as MomoMetal. The Kami Band got a rotation on guitars too but without dropping any high quality level and they're wearing a new gear on their costumes since 2019, like the masks and black burial robes. This is quite long to explain but in general I think after Mikio Fujioka (beloved Kami Band guitarist) past away, they didn't want to risk more exposure on the Kami Band members, plus it's more practical to wear a mask rather than make-up everyday, there are even a new set of session musicians all of them from the west known as the Western Kami Band, but some fans didn't like the masks either way.
Due to pandemic restrictions these 10 live concerts series were reduced to half capacity, the crowd wasn't allowed to mosh'sh, crowd surfing or shout without face mask, instead they can stomp their feet, clap their hands or doing a human wave, at least they can do something to participate in this epic and memorable date event.
The crowd sound here were played from the speakers so no real crowd sound. And the "crowd wave", similar to soccer stadium at World Cup or baseball was introduced for the first time here to give the fans something fun to interact.
Budokan 2021 marks their 10 years anniversary celebration and seal the Metal Resistance chapter along with another seal for the group, lucky for us that seal is already broken and they already came back releasing new album and doing the World Tour 2023, and more is coming this year.
They always love to show their kawaii (cute) side, especially on songs like these, but at the same time SuMetal is trying to improve when singing this song, she said she didn't mastered yet, that's why sometimes she's doing sound check with this song before live concerts during live tour, is a quintessential BM song and is always a work in progress.
She said: _"On the count of three, everyone jump up with the Fox God"_
By this time they're totally pro at crowd participation and leading to them doing what they want, easy job, who wouldn't want to be guide by our queen and princess, sore!

Great reaction. The Budokan 2021 concerts were severely restricted because of covid, so the crowd couldn't join in nearly as much as they would normally (or as much as they would have liked).
The Mexican wave was a sort of compromise that allowed them to get involved as much as they were able in the circumstances, you will see in other concerts the whole crowd jumping and chanting with the girls.
The visuals at the start during the intro - they were showing clips from many of their earlier concerts and the lead up to 'Megitsune' in those concerts ... the Budokan shows were celebrating their 10th anniversary, so those images on the big screens above the stage were very nostalgic for everybody who had been following them for those first 10 years.🦊

"Megitsune" is a fan favorite song and it's a blast when it's performed live... which happens (almost) in every concert. And yes, it's mental!

Budokan was made to be a martial arts arena, hence the circular building (great view from every seat). You have to be invited to use Budokan, invitation only to perform. Babymetal has played there many times!

Megitsune is one of the few that fans will recommend starting with the MV before the live shows, so you're doing it right 👍

This may sound odd but I’m concerned about the girls’ knees. They’ve been performing over 10 years and eventually age creeps in letting you know you’re not in your 20s anymore.
Me too, I think Moa in particular may be needing to retire in a few years, how many dancers perform into their 30s? Su dances of course, but less than Moa, Momo, Yui etc.

Yeah, live is definitely best. The producers tend to get a little too precious with everything on the album tracks, it hits different when it's Su singing live with a band playing behind her on stage.
